Big hugs to you Jazzygem!
As far as the piano bar - I think it would be kick ass if that cute canadian guy ended up there again! gosh if I knew how to reach him I would let him know we are coming into town! That was certainly the highlight of the trip for me - oh and of course going to the old part of Vegas (sorry chemo fog) on Sunday night was a ton of fun!
The good news is that I will have HAIR this time around, however, you can count on me bringing my slutty wigs with me!
-
Jazzy, My party sister, I am praying and sending healing thoughts for you...... I love you sister and call me or email me if you need anything.......

AWE YOU GIRLS ARE THE BEST!!! THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH FOR ALL OF YOUR LOVE!!!
OK...I saw the pulmonologist this morning and we were able to see on two computer monitors side by side my current ct scan and the scan I had done 3 months ago. There are a LOT more nodules. URGH! And the ones that were there before are now larger...URGH! The pulmonologist that I had seen before doesn't work there anymore so I saw another one which I like better. She was very thorough. After we left she called the radiologist at the hospital and sent my pics over to him and got his opinion on a biopsy. By the time we got home she had already left a message on my phone. anyway...the radiologist says the nodules are still too small to biopsy. I have a pet and ct scan scheduled for June. I have to wait another 3 months. urgh. She isn't too sure what is causing these nodules. I haven't been sick in the last 3 months....the list goes on. The only thing different is, I had a surgery.
It just makes me mad though, the thought that if it is cancer, I have to just wait for it to grow.
So for now I will just enjoy my birthday month and all of the fun things I have planned!
Thanks for always being here for me girls!!
LOVE & HUGS! Jazzy
-
Oh this is good news I forgot to mention...the pulmonologist says that my lymph nodes look fine. If they were flared up then there would be more cause for concern, so that's good!
-
Good news Jazzy! (And btw we share this birthday month -- go Pisces!) The PRAYERS SHALL CONTINUE until you are absolutely certain that all is well.
Lilah

SusieZeeMears....I just saw one of your posts about infections going dormant and then coming back. I am not normally on this thread so I don't know the history of this comment and whether I am sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong...but just in case this is pertinent to you or anyone else.....I kept getting infections causing re-opening of my original BLMX and then 3 more infection related surgeries on my non cancer side. At first, I just thought it was retaliating because I lopped off a perfectly good breast. BUT....after researching the "really not mainstream" folks on google...I had my root canal tooth extracted and have had no further infections. I had several procedures trying to "save" this tooth for 3 years which as it turns out means I had infection in my body for at least that long. The dentist and the endodontist who did the root canal and the apicoectomy both believed that the tooth was healing and that the shadow under one of the roots wasn't getting worse which mean't it was still healing. So, I got through a couple of surgeries by using an antibiotic designed for oral infections The oral surgeon said the shadow had been there too long which mean't something was going on and it should be extracted. Should have gone to him 4 surgeries sooner! Turns out the root that looked fine with no visual sign of infection under it also had infection under it. All 3 dental professionals still maintain that there was not enough infection there to travel to my chest ?!? So why did the culture of the TE infection turn out to be a normal oral strep group B infection? And why does the pamphlet for my implants say to have prophylactic antibiotics before dental procedures ?? At first, even my PS was skeptical of my concern that the root canal tooth was the root of the problem...but he became as sure as I was over time. He said he just never runs into the infection problems I was having except two other times with women who came to him from other PSs who had both had oral abcesses.
Anyway, so far so good now that the root canal tooth is gone. Another exchange surgery coming up. We will see!
Just thought I would relate this story in case anyone else has a questionable tooth. If both of the roots on this tooth had looked like the one that looked fine...I would probably still not know there was infection hiding there since I was only having minor irritation like from clenching my jaw.
How I decided to go to the oral sugeon...As I discussed with my PS....It wasn't just that I thought the tooth was causing the infections...I NEEDED it to be the tooth because we couldn't come up with anything else and my skin was getting really thin from the infections. I decided that if I could lop off a perfectly good boob and go through all these major surgeries...then so what if I lost a tooth for no good reason. There is no way for me to prove that it was the tooth. Even if the oral surgeon had wanted me to continue with the tooth...I would have still asked him to extract it as I had nothing else to try. I was willing to "believe" the people on google who think ALL root canal teeth provide hiding places for bacteria to hide and come out from time to time. All three of my very competent and respected dental professionals think this is a bunch of bunk.

Linda54, Joyce (Hood), Judy (Facecrafter) and Gretchen (Journey).....this group will not be as wild as Laura's group so can we close our door if we want to sleep? LOL.....
Judy, are you a wild one?....need your sleep? LOL
How about you Gretchen? I know me and Joyce need our sleep....
I am so glad that I have made the committment to come. I got depressed last year just knowing all of you were meeting and hugging each other and I was not a part of it.
(((((hugs)))))
Linda
-
I'm here getting my bags packed for Vegas!!!! WooHoo!!!!
-
Sleep..Well...Here's how it goes...I don't need much..But if I'm wild, then it's not in the room!!
I just got back from Vegas, and had very little sleep, but that doesn't mean I am not respectful of others wanting theirs...Quiet as a mouse in the room, out of the room, well..that's another story!! WAHOO...JUDY
-
AWESOME.. I am still reeling..:) Now ladies... NVDIANE is in your/our room too... She is a DOLL! So in our connecting room...
Laura,Packer,Sunshine,DianaT, NVDiane,Linda,Judy,Joyce...:)... From what We experienced last year, this is a good break down... and trust me Linda, when the rooms are shut... you can sleep fine if the other room is talking. There is no one in the rooms at night time... just others coming in later with their keys...
I actually hope this year we can sit around by day and visit more. GISELLA: STEPH... Have you two found areas of "hanging" out at this hotel?
What do you ladies think of having more talking time?
GISELLA>>> TRACEY>>> STEPHANNIE... Now that my personal like has slowed... is there anything I can do to help you with this adventure of VEGAS 2010? Call me or PM.
Anywho.... booking the rooms is the easy part down the road...... RIGHT OLDTIMERS????
OLDTIMERS are those uf us who have been around the boards a few years and/or when to Vegas last year... NOT OLD LADIES.....lol
Ladies.. I have to share my happy news.... I have lost about 8-9 pounds...:)..
Being low on pain lets one workout...:)
-
Laura woo hoo on the weight loss! I gained back the 10 I lost during chemo and am now working on losing it again (and then some).
Re: places to sit and talk (hear, hear!) -- I remember being in Planet Hollywood last year when I was in Vegas and the nice thing about it is it's small... I don't recall seeing a main lobby but maybe there is a spot for hanging out there? Most of the casinos have small bars at the edge (or in the middle of) the casinos that are under-populated (since most people prefer the free drinks on the floor) but which might be nice for us to hang out in and talk. Bellagio's is especially nice (right at the juncture of main hotel lobby and start of casino... they have a piano (which usually has someone playing lovely music) and since the casino has low noise on the slots it is usually a pleasant place to sit and talk. I know that's not IN Planet Hollywood but it IS across the street! I'll see if I can research more about PH and find out if there is something like that there.
Lilah
-
Planet Hollywood is attached to the Miracle Mile, a shopping mecca.
There are plenty of places to hang out right there. JUDY
-
Oh cool Judy!
I think it's also across the street from the new Aria hotel / casino and shopping mall... which I keep getting mail about and which sounds incredible.
PH is definitely a SUPER choice ladies -- thanks for finding it
Lilah
-
ooh ooh the fun we are gonna have....
So many great options.. thanks girls!
-
It is but the mall across the street is like Rodeo Drive in Calif.. muy expensive- but fun to see.
the Miracle Mile is somewhat more affordable. But GO PLANET HOLLYWOOD Great Choice.
-
There are places in/around the casino to hang/eat etc. not to worry..we'll pick out our spot.
