I planted a lot of bulbs and have stuff blooming all the time right now. The hyacinths are finished but I have had a steady stream of Daffodils, Narcissus and ranunculas for a few weeks now.

    I love mixed gardens.

I had tulips sprouting but they didn't bloom.  We don't get the hard frost that makes them successful.

My gardenia bush is blooming like crazy.  I'm picking blooms and putting them in the house so I can smell them.

I know I shouldn't complain, given what the rest of you are experiencing weather-wise, but it is supposed to top 90 degrees today! Heading out in an hour for a hike before I wilt...

It's a sunny day in Western New York, but the temp is only 46.  But sunny is good all by itself.

Totally miserable day here, but only weather-wise!  Chilly, rainy and windy.  Luckily for me, I had all inside jobs today anyway, so it's perfect for that. Having work done in our house in two weeks and need to clear the clutter and trash the crap before then. One day won't finish that task, but it'll be a helluva start!

I hope you all have only good things going on in your lives today.

No sun today, it is raining and very Dreary.  Temp is 51, The only sunny days this coming week will be Mon., Thurs. with highs in the 50's.  My grandchildren share a birthday on the 22nd and it has been known to be windy, chilly and one year slushy rain.

This morning started out cold and stormy, I didn't have good hopes for the church Easter party this afternoon. By 3:00 pm (time of party) the sun was shining but the winds were pretty strong. We moved the party from the outside picnic shelter/playground area to inside the classrooms. It is now 70 degrees but still windy. Most of the heavy storms hit the Eastern part of the state.

Bright and sunny this morning. Eastern part of the state is cleaning up from the many tornados that came through yesterday. Stories are coming out about heroism yesterday in stores that were hit by the tornados. Lowes home improvement store in Raleigh was hit, the manager rushed the 50 employees and 70 shoppers into a secure part of the store as the tornado started peeling off the roof. no one was seriously hurt at that location.

Also, Wilson's Creek in my county rose 10 feet yesterday morning after we got 5 inches of rain Friday night, flooding a favorite area campground. Rescuers had to use boats to rescue some of the campers. 2 campers and a car were washed away. The rescue footage at Wilson's Creek was even on GMA this morning.

34 degrees this morning.  At this time of year the temp should be closer to 50.  April 17th and the weather would be considered cold in a normal January. Over all this is the coldest, wettest, longest winter on record here at the beach.

I'm glad you missed the tornados Sheila, I was thinking about you as I watched the news this morning!

We are at 37 degrees.  The horrid snow we had last night and this morning has melted.  We're going to be like Karen in NY - way below normal and in the 50s.  Hope Toronto doesn't get the snow Mum.

Less than a month and we'll be in the sun and warmth - on the cruise ship (not in Michigan)!

In Western New York it is so windy, wind at 27, gusting to 50.  Temp is 41 but with windchill feels like 31.  Suswez, will I fit in your suitcase, it is really nasty here, for the 7 day forecast, there is 1 sunny day.  The rest of the week - windy, cloudy and cold, will we ever get to put winter coats away.  Have a wonderful vacation, suzwes.  Karen
