Baby it's cold outside

Sunny and 80's today, then back to normal 60's tomorrow. Gotta love fall in Maine!
-
Got hot here again today. Bummer!
-
Finally the temps have broken. I think they said on the weather that we had the 2nd number of days over 90 (87 I think). Today was just a 30% chance of rain, but as I got up this morning and was getting on my new computer (yea!), i saw a flash behind me through the picture window and then a large BOOM, it is a thunder storm! I am not complaining, we haven't had any measurable rain in close to a month. They said that the lack of rain may shorten the fall leaf watching season, usually at least 2 weeks. The rain should last through tomorrow.

Well we only hit 95 yesterday. Still enough to make one feel sticky and worn out. BUT here today is supposed to get to 100 and 101 tomorrow.
Oh Autumn, where art thou?
-
Still up in the 90's every day. No rain yesterday and only a chance today. I'm with you Meece, I go outside, but it is muggy and I tire out quickly. Good thing the Rays and the Sainsts games will be on TV this afternoon. I will enjoy it inside
-
My brother went to the panthers game today, with showers in the area. the game was over by 5:00 pm and my hubby realized that he had to drive through Charlotte this evening, he planned his route based on where the stadium is.

Absolutely perfect gorgeous Fall day here today. 70, sunny, breezy...just perfect for a good drive! LOVE Fall...juli
-
66 here today and NO WIND! There was sting in the tail of the Giant storm and we have been lashed by high winds (with rain at times) for most of last week until Saturday. I'm in shorts for the first time since May - bit scary showing my white winter legs - lol. Daylight saving started Sunday - dark again in the morning til about 6.30 but light until about 7.30pm - nice!
-
Dark and gloomy in mid Michigan today. It's 45 degrees at 8:55 am. If I start complaining every day now about the cold, you'll all throw me off the boards by next week. So, I'll not complain, it's part of living in Michigan. MSU will finally give us heat in the buildings on October 1st so only four days of working in the cold! How's that for the glass half full?
-
Well we are expecting 101° today, so I will fan so heat eastward for you.
-
I heard on the news. Can't believe it's this hot for you this late in the year! Thanks for sending some heat. MSU had to cave and we've finally got heat! They gave it to us 4 days early - yippee!
-
Yea, Suzette, for MSU turning on the heat! I'm in my computer room FREEZING with an afghan on my legs, but refuse to kick on the furnace & use some of that precious fuel oil. And, the wood stove is not ready to be used yet, DH needs to switch the pipes over from AC so we can fire up the woodburner when it gets closer to the end of the year & go into the coldest part of ........ don't want to say the word...... winter.
Meecie ~ Could not handle 101 at this time of the year. Frankly, that is too hot any time of the year for me!
-
It makes you appreciate it when your coworkers turn the AC down to 70...for a little while.
-
Fine day again for me with high cloud and no wind. Bit cooler than yesterday and rain/showers expected tomorrow
-
Only another hour before the heat peaks. It has only made it to about 98° so far, Must be a cooling trend.
-
lol Meece - 98 cool?!!
-
We didn't make it to 90 today. Yea. Looked like rain this evening, but nothing yet. I'm walking in the SGK on Saturday with my DH and 2 of my DS's. DH and I are taking Friday off and I'm going to Passe a Grill--right on the gulf beach to walk in the sun, walk in the water and enjoy our day. I haven't walked 3 miles in a long time, so wish me well
-
Doesn't look like it will be getting any hotter than 98 today. Our house AC was set to come on at 80 and when I got home, it was already going.
-
Best wishes for your walk Mary! Have a lovely time on the beach and with your family on Saturday.
-
Have fun Mary, my local SGK is on the 16th. We had showers off and on yesterday. the temps didn't get to 70.
Sheila
-
We don't have a SGK here. Maybe because we don't have enough weekends that aren't broiling hot!
-
Woke up to 55 this morning after thunderstorms last night. Very nice weather today. Opened the windows and aired out the house.
-
Ironically, we have rain (much-needed), but very muggy for this time of year, a/c's are on!
-
Well all I can say is at least I didn't have Dr appts yesterday to make me go to LA. 113° !!!!
-
Yes, we read about the hot weather, 113 degrees!!! Insane! I hear it's to cool off soon, hopefully for all of you.
-
71 degrees, but about 100% humidity with the fog. I'm hoping the dark clouds coming in are a thunderstorm that will clear out some of this mugginess!
-
113 - absolutely insane!! I have woken to mist - can't see more than 200 yards at the moment - very unusual for us. It will burn off later in the morning to a fine day I hope. 61 top temp for us today.
-
nativemainer: We also are 100% humidity here and 77 degrees...VERY uncomfortable, but heck, soon we'll be complainin' about the "W" & "S" words (winter & snow), so guess we can't complain!
rainnz: Happy Spring to you, 61 sounds delightful! Enjoy! ~juli
-
julio--we shouldn't complain, but I'm going to anyway!
-
I see sun for the first time in several days
We made it up to 57 since the sun came out but it was rainy and 51 for most of the day. Not looking promising for warm weather in the next couple of weeks. I'll have to live vicariously through everyone else and be thankful it isn't 113 degrees. Of course I won't live vicariously through Val since she lives about 10 minutes from me
