Kymn, my SNB was in 2004, 7 years ago last week, and I still have numbness down the back of may arm to my elbow. You do get used to it and it stops being so pronounced.
-
Brrrrrrrrrrr. minus 31 this morning with a windchill of minus 43!!!!! I don't even want to head out for my treatment! But I will because this is #19.
take good care and have a good one!
Teklya
-
You are almost 2/3s of the way there, Teklya. You can see the end on the horizon. Bundle up warm and watch your step.
-
I know one of our sisters is having test results tomorrow but dont remember who?
♥(((granny & Judy)))♥
-
Sheila - Mine are on Friday. Maybe i can finally find out what is causing this boob pain - it has been 30 days now.
-
jo...Are they gonna call you?
Did the pain start after radiation/
-
The pain started about a month after radiation and came on all of a sudden. That, and I had another seroma. Both concerned the surgeon. I will actually go see him for the results. Don't mind the office visit - he is really nice and good looking.
-
I think it is much easier to have BC when the docs are good looking and nice
-
I agree - I forgot to add, he is also amazing and gives lots of hugs.
-

Well I dont know jo
-
If I am having an emotional day, he knows the right things to say to make me smile.
-
I like my oncologist but he's not warm.
When he says something you know he is telling me the full truth.
At the beginning he said on the scale of 1-10 and 10 being the worse I only worry about you 1.
He made my day even thou nobody knows the future.
His nurse is very warm she always hugs me and during the blood test we talk about our lives i really like her.
-
granny please keep us updated.
HUGS
-
Sheila - My onc is so cool and easy to work with. When I asked about doing a split dose on the Tamox he was all for it, even wanted me to take 1/2 dose the first week. There are several other ladies I know that go to the same onc and we all agree he has the perfect personality for the job and is also cute to boot. He is Lebanese.

Good Night
-
hey ladies. welcomes to tekyla who is new to me; and to kymn, happy birthday, tekeyla..
pet scan done today. forgot to tkae zanax, freaked out, but stayed in it anyway.. won't forget next time, thats' for sure!!thanks for cyber hugs all of the ladies who sent them. won't know results for days.. so i'll letch know.. the hard parts done. all tests are finished..Mfrog, we're with you monday.. 3jays
-
I usually only get on the computer late at night, west coast time, after most of you have gone to bed. But I wanted to say hello. Thanks 3jays, I had my bone scan yesterday & because of my 2 little ativan it went well. Too bad you forgot your zanax, but good for you for sticking it out. DH took me for a nice lunch afterward & then we went & picked out new lights & a faucet for the bath reno.
Both of my onco's are women so while nice, they are both very intense. But my surgeon & PS are very nice, good looking young men, don't mind an office visit with either of them!
-
Fingers and toes crossed for 3jays and mfrog on your results!
-
My BS was very easy on the eyes. My original onc wore a toupe and it was hard to concentrate on anything else. He has a short thing on the morning news each week and I noticed he has finally ditched the toupe and looks much more distinguished. My current onc is an adorable woman in her thirties. Call me superficial, but the neater and nicer a doctor looks, the more you trust them.
-
Meece - If my onc wore a toupe, I would always wonder what was living in there besides his head. LOL That's a scary thought.
-
BEFORE AFTER
-
Meece - He does look better without the rug on his head.
-
Good morning ladies, well good news bad news yesterday. It hasnt officially spread in my lymph nodes although they termed it suspicious guess in one node it was under .2mm and they dont classify that as node involvment not really sure why but all the margins were not clear from the lumpectomy soooooo back into suregery I go.I am waiting to see when I willl be referred for the MRI would like that before I have more surgery in case I have other decisions to make. Also chemo is definetly on the horizon for me
. My original diagnosis was IDC but now I am positive for DCIS too I am so confused I will post more later at work right now.
Kymn
-
Kymn - The blasted BC beast is unforgiving - sending prayers your way.
-
((((((((((Kymn))))))))))) Just ask lots of questions and don't settle if you aren't comfortable.
