Feeling down today....
Going to take it out on the floor at Grit tonight....
-
Rainy day today. I was too tired to walk before work. Haven't been sleeping well....Its been raining since I got home around 4...so guessing any walking will be pacing in the house. Rain tomorrow too, then weather is warming back up and sunny.
Dancing...hope Grit helps pick you up
-
Dancing, sorry you're feeling down.
Yoga tonight
-
Zumba tonight.
Dancing.....
-
my hands are KILLING me tonight. Couldn't even get my swim suit on. Can't do yoga either. Poop

-
Hope you are feeling better after your workout Danicing. Sending you a hug!
Ran 5 miles tonight...it was a beautiful night and just came in from enjoying a glass of wine on deck with husband and watching the sunset.
Youngest son has a track meet again tomorrow but this time is a home meet so a blk from our house. Will run 3 miles between his events.
-
Runner, is your son going to Bismarck? (That's where our middle school boys are going tomorrow, and the girls on Friday......which I know because I'm subbing for a coach each day.)
-
Ruth no it's a home meet in town! I am excited since I can walk to it! 😊 They don't get to travel yet as 8th graders. Your kids are lucky but suppose you guys probably have no choice! Have fun subbing!
-
Congratulations on you new Grandson Pat, it won't be long before you get your hands on him. Dancing hope you are feeling better.
Last night did Sprint and tonight I di Grit Strength followed by a 20 mine Core class.

Even a Little Exercise Might Make Us Happier
In today's Times.
I edited this post to add 😄.

Happy, happy, happy, even if it was a lousy rental bike.
-
I need a “like” button for Heidi’s photo and Chronicpains description of hiking in the redwood forest. The weather is starting to get nuce here, although rain yesterday evening and today, I cant wait to bike on the trails again.
Quick catch up before work to say I did about two hours of gardening on Sunday- digging, weeding, hauling and throwing mulch. Two 25 minute walks Monday and Tuesday at lunch.
-
sorry about your hands 2FUN! Hope you are feeling better and back at it!
yesterday I swam, did housework, walked a bit, and packed: heading out on back to back consulting work trips: San Diego and then Washington DC. Swimsuit packed! I find it hard to get exercise on the road so will check in here for motivation. I did decide to stay at a hotel located a bit away from my meetings in DC: but too close to make it worth taking a taxi or Lyft, so will walk back and forth....hope to stretch that into some serious walking if the weather stays reasonably cool....
-
Can't wait to get my hands on my little grandson. They live in the DC area, so it's not a day trip for us, and previously they had been pretty clear about wanting some "alone" time with their baby. But DD texted me yesterday and asked when I was coming to meet him! So I am looking at flights now, DH is away this weekend, so I am thinking we do a quick fly down Tuesday or Wednesday for a couple of nights, just enough to snuggle and enjoy. Planning a longer trip end of May, my son-in-law goes back to work, and my DH is planning on biking the C&O Canal from Pittsburgh to DC., so I will get some baby and daughter time
Was a very warm day here yesterday, delivered meals on wheels, and then DH and I went on a hike, very hot and mostly boring. There is a trail that runs the length of our little state, and we have always wanted to hike it (in sections of course), so yesterday we started at the ocean and headed north. Got 20k steps yesterday, and really felt it. Was in bed at 9 lol.
-
Thanks Everyone for the very kind words!!
Grit Pylo was Awesome yesterday!!! It was our regular instructor (we had a sub last week) and she does not hold back!!! She pushes us - HARD!!! And, is serious about form. At the same time, she's a very warm and good natured person. A great combination in an instructor.
Felt so good!! :-)
-
Even seeing the pictures and reading the descriptions of everyone else's exercise makes me happy!
Pat, glad you will be able to soon have some gramma-time!
Had a fun time subbing today (despite many technical glitches; streaming videos in my school includes much refreshing, logging out & back in, taking the battery out of the computer to reboot the whole thing.... and a wing and a prayer!). It's beautiful here so I walked the little puppies in the park before I came home. Off to yoga tonight.
-
Mother's Day around the corner - time to treat ourselves to new work-out clothes!!!
-
did 60 minutes of self directed aqua aerobics. Man its boring without music!
-
Pat you enjoy that baby.
DancingElizabeth I heard on the radio that putting on the workout gear actually makes you more likely to exercise so put it on your list.
Ruth your day at school is just an average day at work for me, and we allegedly got new technology.
I managed a 27 minute walk and planks and still trying to do a few push ups.
-
Ran 3 miles right after work, walked over to my sons track meet them came home and did 20 min of recovery yoga. Ruth is right it's beautiful here...73* at the track meet today. Tuesday's track meet was about 46* with wind! What a difference 48 hours can make!!
I am exhausted and off to bed early tonight. Great job to all!
-
TwoHobbies, I'm afraid it is an average day at most schools. Technology is nice when it works, but when you are always worried about IF it will.....not so much fun!
-
Alright, everyone, it actually took me a few days to process this, but here's the scoop from the PS- besides fashioning me a new nipple and lowering my abdominal scar from the DIEP AND doing some fat grafting from my love handles to above the new breast to fill in gaps, he quietly looked aside and said, "Are there any other parts you want Iiposuctioned?" It was the looking away that threw me off, because of course when you're standing in your underwear and your dr is picking and prodding you, you feel rather exposed, right? But something in his gesture gave me the sense that he had some ideas where I might get some lipo, even though he wasnt able to come right out and say, "Hey, I could take that cellulite off of yer rump." So I awkwardly tapped my flanks without speaking and he nodded.
So that brings me to the questions for y'all. If you had recon, did you get fat grafting, and did it include free lipo? What does lipo do, really? If he takes it out of my bottom, will the skin just sag there? Should I think about other body parts that could use lipo too?
My DHs opinion is that I should take the offer of a shortcut over 80,000 squats.
Thoughts?
-
I hate doctors and surgery, so I'd rather do the squats....even 80,000 of them
-
Falconer, your DH is right, take the squats! Add in lunges and I swear in about 2 weeks you’ll see the difference...surgery free, no down time. Keep it up for a month and you’ll have the Kardashian’s hiring out a hit on you lol! It’s a win-win, exercise and a booty that Kim would envy! (No it won’t get that big lol, it’ll be better!)
Dancing..for you my new virtual gym buddy:
-
I have done 80,000 squats, or maybe it just felt like that much. No surgery for me, too, if I can help it.
Did a Tabata workout (40 seconds work, 10 seconds rest) and a 20 minute jog. Will do some strength training today.
