Falconer, if you take pictures with your phone; log onto BCO on the phone, go to the thread you want to post a picture on (like here ), click the picture icon above where you are typing, "insert image" will come up, click 'choose file', find the picture you want, click on it, click 'done' & it will come over to the page for you to submit. (This is how it works on an Android anyway)

Great photo Claire and congratulations on your STP#11. Ginger your vacation plans sound wonderful you certainly are going to be busy with chaperoning the kids so relax on the boat trip. Badger hope you are enjoying the gym. Great WWW pic Ruth.

Tonight I did the stupidest thing, I was waiting for my Grit class to start, had my bar loaded on the floor I reached out and put my right foot on it to roll it forward and my left quad went rip, holy moly it hurt I went ahead and did the class plus Body Pump Express but couldn't lunge well with my left side, have been icing it all night, I have a doctors appointment on Friday for my annual physical so if it isn't feeling better my then I'll add it to my list of queries.

Oh dear Cheryl, do ice and take really good care. Claire, I can feel your exhilaration and happiness - wow! Ginger & hubby, belated happy anniversary! Ruth you are athletic and fit and awesome! Good going on weight training at the gym badger. TwoHobbies, thanks for the excellent link!

Murky, warm, muggy July summer day here in the Kent hinterlands. Not much to report, reading, studying, worked all morning writing a grant for Pink Pilates and avoiding housework.

Body Balance at 6pm near the white cliffs.

Cheryl, try to semi-behave until it either really feels better or you see the doctor!

I'm going to POUND this morning & meeting my friend for another dog walk before it gets too hot, and then maybe throw in a little house cleaning. My Book Club meets tonight, so I have to pre-work-off all the calories I am going to eat/drink!

KB870, no doubt, you are stronger and has it increased your swimming endurance as well?

    Claire - great picture!

Nice Blues on the beach last night - I even went swimming. Hot hot hot here, and humid, not conducive to exercise at all.

Love the funnies, Mommy! and yes, I say that tossing and turning is exercise, and definitely that we should post our exercise no matter how minimal. Per new research just reported on via NPR, we shouldn't even think we are slacking off:

I count whatever I do in the house or in the yard as exercise on top of my walks or my 30 minute workout.

falconer- we get there on the 2nd and leave very late on the 9th. Traveling Boston to Toronto to Vancouver. No idea what our itinerary is because it is planned as a surprise for us. If you see a group of loud kids and exhausted adults, call out my name...

I have to get off my butt and at least go for a walk. I don't love exercising, but I know I always feel better when I work out a few days a week. Way to easy to use my BC as an excuse!

Ginger- will do!! We are there from Aug 4-9. If you see a group of tan Italian looking people from Jersey looking confused and yelling at each other, that's us! And add in one cute curly haired four year old.

Claire- that is one exhilarating smile you're wearing.

LOL..thanks for the good laugh this morning and Falconer, how is your diep recovery coming along? Pingpong195, welcome and do get up and walk and good to read you work out a few days a week - please tell us about it! Here is a recent article in Cure Today on Moving Forward Together 3 study: http://www.curetoday.com/articles/moving-forward-together-breast-cancer-survivors-are-helping-each-other-to-get-and-stay-physically-active?p=2 Badger, liked reading walking and dodging lobbyists - hehe! Got a email late yesterday afternoon from Macmillan (UK cancer charity) about a spa in our local area who wants bc women to come a take part in a pamper day in October, using products friendly for people living with cancer - as well as specialised trained staff with specialised treatments. She is looking to find 15 or so people affected by breast cancer to attend the event and have a bit of a pampering. We don't know much more than this at this stage. So emailed back with a resounding YES, we'd love to take part! Watch this space.. Have a terrific, active start to the weekend everyone!

Pilates early afternoon and body balance late afternoon.

Hubgy is making me take a day of rest in this heat. He said if I was going to do anything around the house or outside, do it before it gets too hot. So off to water the veggie garden in a few

    Welcome pingpong!

Ginger & Falconer, I hope you can figure out a way to get together because it is SOOOOO much fun to meet up in person!

Lilac, I would also sign up for anything that had the word 'pampering' in it! I loved the article; and totally believe that physical exercise really aids in mental and spiritual recovery from cancer (and not only cancer....physical, mental, and spiritual health (whatever spiritual means to each person) are the keys to a positive life for everyone (IMO, of course).

Off to my last Zumba for awhile (boo hoo, boo hoo, boo hoo ). DS is out of town for work today, so I will walk Stella early (it is very hot and unusually humid; we are now officially in the 'severe drought' range). I will bring the dog over to my house this afternoon & she can help me do yard work (she likes to collect branches), maybe I can convince her to do some housework too......

    Happy Friday, All!

Veggie garden is watered and a few chores that needed to be taken care of this morning, so now I am taking it easy as my hubby ordered me to do so. He has seen how this heat has sapped my energy

Badger- that's such a nice welcome!

Ran/ walked 3 miles this morning then lots and lots of activity with the kids as we are once again at the beach.

Lilac- I'm improving, thanks. Glad you had a laugh. If you have seen Seinfeld, and you know the Costanzas, those are my parents. It's a sitcom here in Jersey.

Hit the gym for an hour this afternoon - 20 treadmill 30 weights 10 cool down. Then to the oral surgeon to deal with a sore tooth. Culprit was an old crown that cracked. Tooth couldn't be saved. I asked about Fosamax and he explained how the bisphosphonates work. IMHO a gym membership is still the better choice. Can and likely will walk tomorrow but slowly and no weights for a few days as advised to keep BP down. S/B OK by Weds when I have next personal trainer appt. Invested in a package of four sessions and this will be #3. I like the extra help but not the extra expense ($50 per hour).

octogirl, i dont want to even read the article for fear of slacking. Lol.  Badger, you have morphed into a gym rat and well done on making it halfway to your personal training sessions. Wonderland, way to incinerate those calories.

Took a walk with DD the day before yesterday and took a rest day yesterday. Still have to get my butt out of the house today. Maybe will go for a bike ride.

This morning, I went to my last yoga for awhile. SADNESS! Several friends have related horror stories of what happened after surgery when they did not wait for the 'all clear' from the doctor to exercise (because they felt so good) and then........found out that was not such a smart idea. Yikes! So, I am resigned to be patient and do as instructed (although it does make me crabby to think about!).

Ruth, you'll be chomping at the bit to get back at it but you're smart enough to pace yourself. When's your surgery?

Slow walk to the farmer's market this morning. Came back home and slept for a couple hours. Drying out the basement using the dehumidifier. It didn't flood, but we've had so much rain there's groundwater seeping in. Good thing for the floor drain.
