This came on my Ipod and I realized I had this version first. Gawd, I'm old. . .

BCbarbie--so glad you found us. Let us know when your next tx is so we can plan a pocket party!! Meanwhile,
-
Janis--good luck with your snipping procedure. Don't forget to dress it up, since everyone is going to be asking you might as well look stylin. . .
-
Eph...you are very welcome! Glad i could help.
Claire...no clip clip, they froze if off. Stung a bit but I'll survive. I have to keep Polysporin on it and going out side LOTS of sunscreen.!
-
oh so you needed this instead. . .
-
LOL Claire that looks a little warm for this heat, but would work. I kind of have the Rudolph look right now. So attractive!
-
welcome bcbarbie ... you'll be glad you tagged this thread - we're pretty damn fun if I do say so myself!!
Eli - absolutely a 4-tier next year ... I'll make a 3 1/2 in February if you like
Love the page topper (see/hear/speak no evil triplets) ... I don't think I ever had a waist like that chick on the right - and I was a size 3 for a long time, truly!
In honor of our impending Friday, which newbies might not know yet is my hands down favorite day of the week (still have to work full time, so no surprise there), and in recognition if his recent anniversary, I offer this pic of one of my favorite performers.

I am so happy to have found this thread and have joined such a great group of women. With kids at college or in the army, the only one left at home is the DH. So I have found new friends on this thread. It can be a lonely place even with my work with hardly anyone understanding me. So thanks for the greetings and thanks for the pictures. What a treat they all are:cupcakes, ice cream, Elvis and even ducks. oh, and all the other pictures too! Thanks again ladies.
-
Claire, like that's a disguise..right!! 6'1" tall, black man wearing an orange ski mast and a black/orange and gray hooded jacket!! He'll go really far....ehehehehehehehe
Janis, keep your nose protected!!!!
-
Barbe, I was TRYING to be funny. y'know, Janis got her nose spot FROZEN off. . . get it, parka, ski mask . . . never mind. . .

Well middies, it was 7 yrs ago today that I got the phone call. Actually, just about this time of day as a matter of fact. It's been the quickest 7 yrs in my entire life. It's also been the fullest 7 yrs. Not necessary filled with good all the time, but I'm selfishly glad that I'm able to see there's been way more good than bad in the last 7 yrs. Becoming a part of the BCO Community, even to the point of working with them on occasion since they're local to me, has meant more to me than I could ever say. I think most of you understand though.
Thank you to all the wonderful women I've met in this thread and others, and especially the chat room ... my lifeline when first dx'd. I look forward to celebrating many more anniversaries with all of you, and FOR all of you.
Much love and hugs.

Marlegal-
Congrats!!! Thank you for all u have shared with us -
Seven years...NICE! You are getting so good at being cancer-free. Keep it going.
Mmmm, tasty!
-
Marlegal - congrats on 7 years! That is encouragement to the rest of us! Especially us newbies!
-
Marlegal! SEVEN is quite the #! You go girl!
-
Marlegal!! You inspire us all!!! Happy Lucky number seven!!
-
Congrats Marlegal!! You're an inspiration!!
-
Marlegal congratulations on this amazing milestone! I hope you can find a way to celebrate. So good getting to know you. I am just tickled pink for you!
-
Congrats Marlegal - that's one seven year itch you won't want to scratch!
-
Congrats on 7 years marlegal, keep the cancer free years coming.
-
Cngrats Marlegal!!! I remember when I came to the boards that you along with eli, barbe, eph, and native were a safe heaven for me. Thanks for being there for us all these 7 years!! It gives gals like me hope for sure!!
-
Eli, strawberry shortcake is one of my favs, thanks!!
Teacup, that's what we "oldies" try to do for the "newbies" ... prove that not only can life go on, but it can be pretty damned fabulous, just in a different way. I've travelled more in the last 7 yrs that I had in the prior 25, not kidding.
Joni, Claire, Barbe, Janis, Sherry, Paula, Eli ... you are all instrumental in my well being. We raise each other up, we console each other, we laugh at each other ... I thrive on my girlfriends and our interactions, I really do. And I'm a firm believever that our mental attitude plays a key role in our healing and prognosis. I've always been a "glass half full" kind of girl, and I was never more grateful for that than in the last 7 yrs. I hope I've also helped in getting others to feel that way. Anyway ... it's my day to be mushy and retrospective and all that crap
I'm just immensely happy, and that always makes me ramble
Catnz, I want to read posts of yours like this 7 years down the line
-
Congratulations, Marlegal!!! You inspire hope .....so glad you are doing so well!
-
I'm honored to be mentioned in such fine company! You gals are all the best, and I mean that sincerely & in such a happy tone, no sarcasm whatsoever! Pats on the back all around! Love ya! me
-
Thanks Marlegal, I'm already one year down the line so why not seven or seventeen! It's always great to hear the success stories and I fully intend to do all I can in telling my story and encouraging other women I come across. Thanks for being a huge positive to those you meet, even those in another country and time zone. Cath
-
marlegal......I am really happy you have reached this milestone. You are right about the glass half full...it is instrumental to healing. You have been on a very long journey and personally I appreciate all the cheerleading you have offered me along my way. You are a joy sweet lady! Many, many more such anniversaries to you!
-
Congratulations, Marlegal. I love celebrating anniversaries.
-
Joni, are you kidding me? To have not included you would have meant that I would have left out one of my all time favorite "friends I've never met in person"
I've felt close to you from my first days in this thread. (Apparently I'm still in mush mode!!)
Thanks for all the cool comments - truly brought a tear or two to my eyes. I'll blame the hormones I don't have any more for that
-
marlegal,
You really are an inspiration to those of us that follow the path behind you and are absolutely right that attitude can make a difference. Thank you for all you do for the newbies and may you have many more celebrations!!

Did anyone's eye vision change with chemo? My Rx reading glasses became too weak in days. I can't see anything. Had to buy super strong readers to see again. I googled and it seems it happens. Anyone else?
