Amen Patmom......
Faith and Saint, blessings to you both for peaceful, restful days and restful, painless nights...... -
Faith- feel better hon
Saint- here's to the rads kicking ass and giving you regular vision. Sorry to hear of the waiting, I know it's hard.
-
Saint, I hope your driver doesn't feel the need to chat ... easier to keep your eyes closed if you don't feel like you have to make conversation I think. Hope the reunion with Mo is good for both of you. Let her do for you - it'll make her feel good, and you need that right now. Hugs and hearty prayers for these treatments to work well, and work quickly. Love you.

Just spoke with Saint. She's now completed three of the treatments.
The riding both ways is a lot to begin with. She lays down in the back and attempts to sleep.
She said the techs were rushed today, but still kind. We laughed that they now see her as an 'old timer' not in need of such delicate TLC as the first couple of visits.
Her sister Mo has indeed arrived safely and they are getting caught up. Mo went on the field trip to the hospital today and of course that was an enormous support.
My husband is still with her husband down here in FL as today was the funeral for her FIL.
My parents just departed our house for their-own and I know that they are 'encouraged' to see me up and about and looking/acting like myself.
It's been a very busy day in the land of Saint&Faith. We are both delighted at the progress of the other..... I am less & less effected by Effexor (no, will never, ever, ever take any more, no matter what) and she is making it thru this treatment one day at a time.
Which of course is as it must be.

A good deal for all Faith. Thank you for posting - your news makes my day.

(((Saint and Faith)))...Faith glad you are not feeling so awful now...I agree...NO more Effexor!.....YUCK!...
Saint, keeping fingers crossed and candle lit that the treatments do their job......Hope you get your new specs soon, too.......
Strength and courage to you both..... -
Faith, thank you so much for all the updates. So glad you are starting to feel like you again, that you is brill so that is peachy news.
Saint, Cinderella DD too, I have FINALLY got my act together, got hold of your paypal account and sent my contribution for DD's Scotish adventure next summer. Yes, I know... parcel is still here, will get it sealed and off my counter eventually!! but at least now I don't have any worries of lost money in parcels crossing the "pond" which is good.
Peachy vibes coming your way. Hope you have a good restorative rest this weekend. Thinking of you.

I woke up this morning and feel like my brain may actually be waking up as well. In any case, I'm concerned that I have received PMs asking for Saint's address -- to send funds for the Cinderella to Scotland project and that I may not have responded to everyone.
Please, please, please do not let my swiss-cheese brain keep you from contributing.
Shiny has been so sweet to ask me probably 746 times for the pay-pal info and last night I realized how to track that down for her. Now I wonder if I've let the ball drop for others as well?? Please, please, please ask me again. I'm nearly functional these days. (Nearly.)
The project of support is so wonderful for their whole family to feel everyone's involvement.

Sending lots and lots of love and prayers for strength and comfort.
-
Faith, I had no indication that your brain function was less than normal.
Prayers for the both of you.
-
Apple. You seriously made me laugh-out-loud.
I'm "certifiable" that's for sure. LOL.
I feel less and less like I'm falling thru the rabbit hole. Today marks week #3 for me, post-op, so I think it's time for a celebration.
Here's what I just posted on the other thread:
I spoke with Saint yesterday before she went for her treatment #4. She had just gotten out of the shower at the time and was feeling very chilled. I'm soooooo glad that Mo is there to offer company and support...... especially at moments such as that.
We had company yesterday, so we only spoke on the one occasion.
Sending you tons of hugs my dear Saint.

I posted this four hours ago from my phone on the other thread, after speaking w/Saint.
Just off the phone w saint.
She is at this minute getting fluids at her local clinic.
Then on to Madison for rads 5. Tomorrow she has a blood transfusion for the day.
She is weak. She can certainly benefit from your prayers.
Her DH home safely from FL/funeral late last night.
Mo a huge help...... -
My dear Saint, I hope to catch up with you by phone this weekend if you have a few minutes. I don't want to cut in on the time with Mo of course, but would love to hear your voice. Faith, I can't believe you're 3 weeks out already - I'm sure you've felt every single moment, but it went quickly from this side of the computer screen!! Much love to you both, and prayers galore.
-
Saint,
You are in my prayers.... please get some rest, and feel better....
LOVE YOU!!

Saint, Prayers going up for your comfort and that the treatments will help. Your blessings have increased with the arrival of Mo and the continued presence of Faith in your life.
Love you both.
-
(((Saint))))....Miss your posts so much......Miss YOU so much.......Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers although prayers are hard to do right now.........Praying the treatment continue to do what they are supposed to do.........
-
Saint, warm thoughts sending your way. And know that that's a biggie to send warm thoughts since I just shovelled out from a foot of snow.
-
Just off the phone with Saint. She had "lilt" in her voice.
The infusion of fluids & the transfusion have lifted her spiritis. Her college son is home for the weekend and I know that makes her happy -- to have everyone home together. She had the rads team give her something for the nausea that she was experiencing -- to she really sounded like herself, again.
Mo was cooking dinner. Her DH had given the dogs a bath and all was well in her world.
She admonished me to continue to take it slow & I promised that I am still doing "one" thing per day that requires any effort.
I haven't read her your posts for a while, but she says to say thanks for the continued support and prayers. The trip back & forth to the city is about all that gets accomplished in her day.
She is half-way thru the protocol!!

edited to add a pic:
"Many strong and beautiful women."

Thinking of you Saint and sending well wishes.
-
Thanks Faith and God bless you for such a giving spirit. To Saint I send out more prayers for strength.
HUGS.
-
Saint,
Praying that your treatment works, and that you are feeling better... You have been such an inspiration to me! I'm so glad that Mo can be there with you to help you, and I am also grateful for your friendship with Faith...
HUGS
