saint, gather up your strength for your radiation treatment.  Just when you think you have no more strength, reach a tiny bit deeper and I know that you will find some.  My best thoughts going out to you for the best results.  Hoping this treatment will bring some relief for you.

Sending you wishes for strength and healing rays, dear Saint. I'm sorry to hear about your father-in-law. How fortunate that Faith and hubs will be there for your husband. And how wonderful to hear your sister will be with you. I hope today brings the beginning of new healing.

Saint, I am very sorry to hear of your FIL's passing.  I hope and pray that the week is filled with healing of body, mind and soul as Greg mourns his father with support from Faith and her DH, Mo finally comes to spend the time with you she has so desperately wanted, and you start on your new treatment protocol.

    faith typing, Saint speaking:

As I approach today, I have come to the realization that I am the only person who can do what I have to do. It doesn't matter who is with me, who is not, or what is going on in the world.

So I am trying to be positive and do what only I can do.

Thanks for your continued prayers and support.

I'll be back after my first fry-lesson.

    Be well. Stay strong.

    Absolutely Saint.

However we wish we could, we cannot  take part of your burden. You are a brilliant person with a seriously not brilliant lot to deal with, and only you truley know deep inside, what "you have got to do" from day to day.  Prioritizing, doing what feels right each day within what is possible that day , each day bringing a new set of challanges and even more demands, you having to make sense and re assess how to manage the new "now" you are presented with. And it is not negotiable, you are having to deal with it, day in day out. How exausting this must be. Like you said I think, you just have to do what ever you got to do, the heck with the rest. Amen.

I remember hearing at what I felt was a  very difficult time in my childhood, "your pain and stuggles will make you grow" and I remember thinking "I don't want to "grow" if that's alright, i'd settle for short and happy!" I wish you could be very very short Saint, with no pain and stuggles.

Just know, that we are here, praying, sending  encouragement for whatever it is you are having to tackle, moment to moment.

I don't need you to read us, when it doesn't help, but if it distracts you for a moment or reminds you of a warm cuddle sent accross the miles, then that is  ok too. If you ever want to shout rant, growl or breakdown we will gladly echo the validity of that too, even if it helps for one minute.

Sending calm peaceful vibes for treatment days, and thinking of you.

Saint called me shortly after completing her first 'treatment.'

She was nearly elated if that's possible. She was so excited to have 'made-it-through' with flying colors. She said the techs are all terrific. She told them straight up that she was anxious and they did everything to be super-supportive and talk her thru the process.

She kept saying: "I can do this. I can do this. I can do this!!"

They were going to grab a bite on the way home.

Her DH was able to spend the day with her & do the driving today....so that was very reassuring to her. His flight here to FL for the funeral is before the crack of the crack of dawn tomorrow.

    So everyone is thrilled.

Her sister, Mo arrives tomorrow around dinner-time, if that goes according to plan.

    Keep those prayers coming!!

Dearest sister Saint - we serve an awesome God.  Look what He's done by helping you through this new treatment.  Prayer works.  With Him, you can do this!  Rest.

Faith - what a super friend you are to Saint and us.  Thanks.

How good to get a glimpse of good news on this dreary Tuesday in Philadelphia!  I forgot what the planned frequency is for these treatments.  Soooo glad the techs made you feel comfortable hon.  They better!  Love and hugs.

Saint & I visited this morning over the phone.

She is in good spirits, despite pains in her leg today. Her treatments are to be every day, five days in a row, M-F. Her ride to the hospital today was going to require a 'longer' day -- as the driver is going for her own treatment, and it was earlier in the afternoon than Saint's. Hope that makes sense.... in any case prayers for endurance for the day's length for Saint, and the length of the daily drive, too. Riding in the car is a challenge, with her eye-sight.

Her husband, Greg should be landing in FL right about now for his father's funeral. Pat has "forbidden" me from going tomorrow. LOL. Which is so cute don't ya think? Pat doesn't want me even riding that sort of a distance (again.) So our compromise is to have my DH go-solo tomorrow and represent the two of us. My parents are coming here this afternoon, they can "babysit" me.

This will be my parents first time to see me, post-surgery, and I know they will be 'scrutinizing' my every move/non-move. Hopefully I'm up to their supervision. LOL. Our plan is for them to spend the night.

Saint's sister is to arrive dinner-time, via bus from Chicago airport. They have someone to pick her up from the bus-stop.

    Keep the prayers coming.

I'm over 48 hours away from having taken HALF of that pill and today it 'just' feels like I have an awful bout of morning sickness.

May your endurance exceed your needs, may your treatment go as smoothly and as successfully as possible, and may tonight's family reunions provide even more comfort and joy than anyone anticipates.
