Yaaayyy Arnie!!! You must have been posting while I was still typing. How lovely for the man you met to bring you flowers on your last day. I'm sending rapid healing vibes your way.
Sharon it looks as though you were typing your question while I was posting :-)
Hugs to all.

Through all the crap and icky things that we have discovered and experienced along the way with cancer, are jewels and snipits of treasures that are priceless and unexpected.
-
Very true Elaine.

Anyone want to join my sticker project? I carry smily and heart stickers in my purse. If someone does something extra nice or looks "down" or just a conversation starter - I ask if they would like a sticker.
The one time that brought tears to my eyes (actually made me sob as I left) - waiting room at cancer center, waiting to register - Mom and baby boy, about 10 months old. Baby had a "bag" attached, and those BIG baby eyes, looking all around. I was sitting opposite them and gave a wave with my hand. Baby smiled, so I continued to wave and wiggle my fingers in the air.
Mom looked down and saw him smiling and said to me that he had not smiled in days. I offered to put a sticker on his shirt and he actually laughed. Mom had a tear running down her face, so I gave her a sticker also.
-
Awwhh Nancy, how sweet!.....it is so sad when little children are sick........I would like to join the sticker bregade!....
Arnie, CONGRATS on your LAST rad!.....What a sweet man to think of you like that!........ -
Consider me the official Australian sticker person.
Hugs to all
-
The sticker story is sweet Nancy. What a lovely idea.
-
Count me in. I am actually starting a challenge - giving 28 gifts in 28 days (1 a day), strangers, people I know whatever...not necessarily big things but what ever sems apporpriate for the day. It seems a lot like Lefty's project/adventure.
-
Good morning everyone!
Sharon I love the picture and especially the sentiment.
Nancy - I think giving out stickers is a wonderful idea, especially to children. They just love them so and how sweet that you not only brout a smile to his face but a laugh to his heart.
Janet - Yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jayne - I'm just waiting until you can do the happy dance too.
Janet - That was such a touching story about that nice man!
Faith - Happy belated birthday - hope it was great!
-
EWB - what a cool idea. Where did you get the #28?
-
Elaine, what a great idea!.......Why 28?.........Just curious........
-
I read about it in a magazine, have to track down details; I just thought it was a great idea, something bigger than me, about kindness and being aware of others. This is suppose to be a time of caring and giving, and it seems to be about crazy shopping, buying just to buy etc. I feel a need to do something more meaningful (to me). I would like to try doing it 365 gifts
and start a new habit, not for any special reason, not for recognition but it makes me feel happy inside and hopefully brightens someone elses day.
-
That is SUCH a neat idea Elaine!!! It does feel good to do nice things for others. I drove through Sonic one day last week and got one of their delicious diet cokes with crushed ice. I felt so sorry for the car hop girl----it was cold and raining. I just gave her a $10 bill and said to keep the change. You would think I had given her $1,000!!!!!! She got tears in her eyes, then I got tears in my eyes. Sure wish I COULD have given her $1,000. Anyway, it's the little things that matter!!
Love all you bunnies!!!
(((((Arnie))))) sure hope you're feeling better!! Sending prayers and hugs to you!!
(((Jayne)))) you too!!! Counting down.......
I can't list today...my mind is melting....just know I'm thinking of all of you!!!!
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((dustbunny hugs))))))))))))))))))))
-
Yeah its neat to do those acts of kindness, sometimes at the spur of the moment, just because.
off to look at a possible kitty for the family
, Hugs to all
-
Elaine....I tried to post on the "cute" thread, but this computer at work is contrary and wouldn't let me. I'm so excited about you getting a new kitty!!!! What a wonderful addition to your family!!!
-
When my Mom was still alive I would frequently send flowers to her with a birthday wish until I could get around to shopping for her gift. After she died my sister told me she said I was the only person who ever sent her flowers. I wish I had known that when she was still alive - I would have sent her a ton of flowers, not just for her birthday. I thought alkl those years I was sending an acknowledgment of her birthday - not making her day.
So if someone does something that really pleases you or makes you smile or fills your heart with love, please tell them.
-
Sweet bunnies doing kindness all over the place.
Really inspiring.
I just put up a plea for kindness -- on Saint's behalf on each of her threads.
Thanks for considering.
I've already received the first PM for a contribution.

. Not this one but thought it was funny -
Try this website: www.DoOneNiceThing.com
-
EWB - did they look like this?
-
Or this?
-
The hair from all those kittens is going to require a whole lot ot housework.
If someone could find a market for pet hair..........I'd be rich!! With all the dog hair on the floor my dog should be bald........instead it's me with the thinning hair..........waaaaaaaaaaaa. Wonder how my head would look in 'Labrador'?
-
Awwh I love kittens!......I have 3 furbaby kitties and they are so sweet!....
have a great day dustbunny friends!.....I am off to work!....... -
-
I'm trying to comb my hair.
-
Awwhhhh such cute little kitties.
Elaine!!! Do you have a new baby yet? Maybe we could throw Elaine a "kitty shower" once she gets the kitty home.....and just in time for Christmas!!! Awwhhhhhh
((((big hugs to all of you)))))

Hey bunnies.
We actually cleaned a bit yesterday in preparation for the arrival of our new realtor. We've had our home on the market for 6 months -- and it has been 'shown' a total of ONE time. YIKES.
Not that this new company can pull a rabbit out of a hat, but at least it will feel like a new set of energy on the story.
We may be the owners of this house for a long time to come..... time will tell, just how long.
Today was bambinos to the pediatrician day -- for all of their various shots. Never a fun project but necessary.
Arnie. How ya doing sweetie. Hopefully you've had these last couple of days to celebrate being done and each successive day will be a bit easier.
Jayne. You're making progress!!!! Over half way!!
Mary. Isn't it about time for you to pop in with pictures??
And Mum. She got a surprise trips to the tropics -- but I think she just left.
Vivvy. Thanks for those koala cupcakes. They were tasty and oh, so thoughtful.
Shiny. Wondering how the 'program' turned out for your wee one. Tell us, tell us when you're able.
Barbe. Do you get any 'extra' time off at the holidays? Or is it just marching along per usual?
Kathleen. I never heard the conclusion of your project..... everything turn out nicely?
Nancy. You're just full of great ideas. How's your mom?
Elaine. Will you have both of the kids home for the holidays? Enjoy.
Coonie. Glad to hear about your neice being released -- hoping she has a happy holiday.
Sharon. What joy you bring to all of us. Did you notice that you're creeping up on 10,000??
Cheryl. It was great to see all of your cookie extravaganza over on FB. Thanks for popping in.
KAK. How's our celebrity? Any new fun up your sleeve?? Congrats again.
Lucy. Glad that you're able to make it to work, bet you feel so productive these days.
Well now I've gone and created a list. I'm certain to have left some off (by accident)...... just wanting everyone to know how much you mean to me!!! Hugs A to Z and Z to A!!
-
Maybe found a kitty, just don't want to jump at the first one but was awful cute...we are going for the SHORTHAIRED persian Have seen some from breeders in midwest that are BEAUTIFUL, but really would rather see, handle, play with in person.
Both kids will be home
, ds has been home since Thanksgiving and will go back Jan 1; dd will be home this weekend and will be here until mid January, then dh and I are going to Maui late Jan for about 10 days
.
Hugs to everyone.
-
Faithie---good luck on selling your house. Maybe once the holidays are over, you'll have alot of showings!!
Happy Thursday to all you bunnies!! Hope today is just wondermous for you!!!
Elaine, maybe your new kitten needs a bunny to keep it company
-
Awwwwwwwwwwwh.
Thanks Coonie. It's nice to start the day with a hug.
Bunny hugs are the very best.
