I can barely speak English. It seems everyone else in the world speaks more than one language. I admire that.

Beautiful Shila. Fortunately since I got my Kindle I'll be able to pare down my collection to a couple of thousand old friends that are not available in any other form than the original.

ahhh Sheila....what therapy!!!
One year ago tomorrow (Monday) I had my setup appointment for Rads. So glad this year is different...I see RO on Wednesday for a check.
It took me 20 minutes to catch up on this thread - only about a day's worth...
Meece, I am in disbelief over the hurt and anger you must be feeling after you gave your all for the wedding; but the way you described the father, no wonder there is attitude going around everywhere.....
My co-worker listens to my stories about all my kids and their spouses and in-laws...and when I admit I've been blindsided after giving my all, he always says
"No good deed goes unpunished"
and it seems that may be true more often than I'd like!I am grading papers for returning to work in a few hours....but I know I need sleep.
I had a great long week end, actually. Thanksgiving was in NJ at DD#2 - small turkey so no leftovers.... Two birthday cakes, dinner out last night, shopping at DSW today (got 2 pair ankle boots for winter outfits)...got to see my dear GDs, my GS and his gf, and my son who flew in from Chicago. It was so hard to say 'bye to him again today...but we're working on a Christmas visit. I talked to all 6 kids today and feel pretty happy.
Back to work now...unless I get on that jet with y'all....
Sheila, can you find a room with a view of ROCKS for me?
Thanks!
JoanPS - my SonIL is a real anti-social PITN and DH really gets riled up over him...
I tell DH, do not be a bigger ______ than he is....stay calm and be true to yourself. -
I just need a room with a water view.!
-
At the rehearsal I was joking that FOB wouldn't be wearing his ball cap and sunglasses in the wedding. He said"who says" I jokingly repeated myself and DIL said "I told him he could wear whatever he wants." Okay, that's whay he strutted down the aisle in a black suit, grey shirt (i think) and a blue tie (I remember that) wearing a cowboy hat. His suit would have sported the labels on the sleeve as well if I hadn't caught it and cut them off. Now I wish I hadn't!
-
I am happy with my room, Sheila. Thank you!
-
Shiela, just put a lounge chair on the beach and I will sleep on the sand and visit you all and I will come in to shower and to make me something to eat....and you are right Meece, you shouldnt.....Joan...so happy you had a happy one!!

I LOVE that rock view....that's how I relax...but I wanna be on the island too so maybe just a mural on my wall...
Thanks, Sheila!
I didn't do so well on Cyber Monday either....and it's almost over.
Had to work all day/night. No time to shop.
Missed hours of sleep last night due to lower back pain. When did I become such a sickly person??? I hope I can sleep tonight.
Hey it's not even winter yet....a few weeks to go.
A little snow / ice for tomorrow....probably not enough to worry about.
Be safe! -
HAPPY TUESDAY!!!lol whatever that mean...how is everybody and oh btw when is the jet coming....I could really use a long vacation right about now!!!
sandy
-
It's snowing here too. Send the jet....QUICK!!!
-
Can you stop by and pick me up too? Everyone around here is either coming down with a cold or fighting one! DD is acting like she's never had a cold before. I must have babied her too much growing up. I don't know what she's going to do when she is away at school next year and comes down with something. I'll probably have to go up and live with her 'til she's better. lol
The snow does look pretty. I hope we can have a white Christmas this year. And only just enough snow to look pretty.
