You just need to remember that we are beside you!

Not sure if you need a referral. Ask your primary, they will know.
Hi Judy!

Good Morning
I'm finding myself

Ha ha - Easter meal - ate that for 3 days. Don't want turkey for a while...
Guess what! I made fish last night! (tilapia) After eating turkey and gravy and potatoes and stuffing for 3 days - felt I needed to be more healthy. And my family didn't complain! It's a miracle. I had salad with it so DS tried the fish with salad dressing and said it wasn't bad. Hey, whatever gets it in his body. Now I have to experiment with different kinds of fish and different preparations. I should probably stick with mild fish. I did buy a lemon/pepper bread crumb mix - it was kind of strong and they still didn't complain. I'll have to see if this was just a one-time thing or whether I can actually incorporate fish into my "meal plan." They are probably as sick of the food I make as I am, so maybe they are desperate enough to start eating fish.
So, if anyone has any mild fish recipes they want to share, that would help me out a lot. DD even commented that she had some salmon at a buffet recently and she liked it. So I guess salmon will be next... Preparation tips, anyone?

Welcome to the SALMON Club chris.
-
lol - I've made salmon before - a few times... Kids were younger. Maybe their palates are maturing. Or they are sick of me complaining about them complaining... they'd rather just eat the food than listen to me warn them not to complain about it.
I read in a parenting magazine years ago where a mother was asked, "What's for supper?" And her response was, "Yuck, I hate that," since that was the response she would often get from her kids about what she was serving. I use that on many occasions.

DH tried tialpi and liked it. He has NEVER liked fish. He has lost 58 pounds and is trying all kinds of new things. I don't like tilapi, not sure why. Tonight we are having haddock. He gets home from his trip tonight. Cant wait to see him!
-
Have a nice night with DH. From pix I've seen of him, he didn't look like he had 58 lbs to lose...
I have put my weight back on that I lost last fall and kept off after surgery. Back to the drawing board...
-
It's frustrating, isn't it Chris. DH joins gym and diets and loses 58 pounds. Now weights about 145. I do the same thing and don't lose any weight. The only good thing I have to say about it is I feel more toned. I really enjoy lifting weights. You need to come to my gym Chris, we can work out together. Then we can have martinis and lunch after!
-
LOL - martinis and lunch- I'd end up gaining weight! DH weighs 145! Wow. That sounds like what my father used to weigh when he did Slimfast and went to the gym. He would say, "I'm down to ### (whatever the number was)," and I'd say, "Me too!" He laughed. He didn't know I was serious... I now weigh more than my father and I'm ~5 inches shorter than he is... so sad... Of course, he watches what he eats, plays golf, and goes to the gym 3x/wk. I eat ice cream, cookies, cake, and chocolate. But now I eat fish and salad like my TOL friends...
-
Linda...you can shed lots of calories when DH returns home tonight.
Send the kids to a sleepover. hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaa
So chris you want to talk about fish....lemon and fresh parsley goes well with any fish..............
-
Sheila, what took you so long??? We will be watching the Bruins in the Playoffs.
I don't really go out to lunch and martinis after the gym, but I would like too! Thats funny about your Dad Chris. I was saying the samething to my DH. Evertime he would tell me he lost 5 pounds and is down to 170, I would say, me too! LOL!
Having fish tonight too, got some Cod. Love Cod! Welcome to our fish club CHris!
-
Welcome to the fish thread.
having chicken soup and avocado salad tonight.
-
Just finished the fish. How was yoru dinner?
-
I didn't eat yet.
Because my gmail doesn't look the same and I don't like the new look...I tried to change it...messed up more ......
-
Internet Explorer changed last week and I hate change!! Why do they do that?
Eat!!
-
I don't mind the change as long as they don't confuse me.
My email looks totally different I need to study to relearn.
I had my dinner and dipped pita bread in the avocado salad. Delicious.
-
Linda how did that change?
-
tabs are different, the whole layout is different. Why do they change things once I know how to use them!
-
Hi Sheila, Hi Linda, Hey everyone else out in TOL land!. I hate it when they change up my email too, also don't like that facebook keeps changing. I'm holding out and have not switched over to their timeline. Hope everyone is doing great tonight. I am at an all new high in weight. Now that chemo is done I need to do something about it, it is making me depressed. I signed up online with weight watchers and am going to first meeting tomorrow.
