-
I'm going to my MIL for Easter. Should be good, about 20 of us.
Love carrot cake anything!
Baseball was COLD again. When is spring going to spring??
-
It was coldish today.
Tomorrow will be rainish
-
Opening day tomorrow. Picss at 9 a.m., parade at 11:30, volunteering at cookout from 12-2 and a 1:30 game. IN THE RAIN!
-
I'm not going anywhere, aunt and uncle are sick, brother is going over daughters and sister is going over boyfriends. They don't give a shit about our father. I asked if they were going to visit him Easter Sunday, nope they made all sorts of assinign excuses. SO it's up to me AGAIN!!!
-
You'll go straight to heaven, Deb!

DH and I are in the guesthouse at our favorite winery. We had the owners (our friends) over for dinner tonight, had lamb chops, hasselback potatoes and green beans almondine. We will hang out tomorrow then come home in the evening. Heading to my mom's to cook Easter dinner for them and a couple of their friends on Sunday. She's not up to cooking yet. She canot have any salt in her diet so no ham this year.
-
Good Morning!
RAIN! They cancelled the cookout and parade and pictures. They will probably play the games. Better than sitting int he rain all day.
Hope you are all rain free and happy!
-
Good Morning
The same weather here. Its so dark outside.
Rain is coming down.
Its a good day to do some house related work.

-
Rain here also but had nothing to do but go to Macy's tonight 6 - 945....still in bed and it is 1149 am, lol....
Deb sorry about your dad, I agree with Linda and it is amazing how people turn their backs on their parents until they want something....
Meece don't drink too much, but have fun
Seyla how is your dad? housework, oh no not doing that....
Foots, Raj, Chris, Burley where are you?
-
I'm here - raining here too. As I've said before, we'd better get some spectacular May flowers out of this rain we've had.
I'm baking banana bread. Had a few bananas that were past their prime and felt motivated. Once I got out all the measuring spoons and cups I needed, I remembered why I don't like to bake. I'm so lazy, I hate the clean-up! I hope it comes out okay- the baking powder was past the "best used by" date.
Doing laundry and my favorite - IRONING - I despise ironing.
I wanted to clean the bathrooms before the boys got home - not sure I have enough time.
Glad you got some work hours, Sandy.
You are so good to take care of and think of your dad, Deb. Meece, you are so good to make dinner for your parents and their friends. I wish I could cook so I could feel comfortable hosting holidays.
Glad you won't be out in the rain for too long today, Linda. I'm glad they canceled the festivities and didn't make everyone hang out in the rain all day.
Hope you're getting the house related work you wanted to do today, Sheila. I have such trouble making myself do all the things that need doing. And there is A LOT - it's neverending.
On my way down to do more laundry, I saw a spider in the corner on the floor at the bottom of the stairs. He sensed I was coming and ran between the wall and the flooring. He was creepy. I got the bug spray and sprayed. These spiders need to keep out of my living space.

Just got home from Market Basket, I never seen so many people there at once. It was worst than shopping before a snowstorm. Picked up a very small ham and the ingredient for the sauce, AG, Carots and potatoes. Bought a cheesecake to bring over to Dad's and going to make a strawberry sauce for the topping.
-
I did closet cleaning.
4 bags ready for garbage

I also had 2 hotdogs for dinner.

-
Leftover Sheppards pie for supper.
The sauce for the ham is 2 pineapples sliced cored and cut into 1/4 pieces, I'm lazy, bought 2 cans of pineapple, LOL. 3 cups of sugar, I use 2 cups Splenda, 2 cups of water bring to a boil then simmer for 60 to 80 mins. Then add 1/4 cup of country mustard, I used honey mustard. I'll let you all know how it came out.
-
I made a bunny cake and calzones to bring to the inlaws. Just got out of the jacuzzi. It was nice. Got a new bed Friday and it is so nice sleeping on it.
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter. Buono Pasqua!

Checking in...
Ironing! Don't get me started...definitely my least favorite chore. Dusting is just above it. I live at the end of a dirt road, so everything gets dusty within a day. Annoying.
I'm cooking a small Easter dinner just for us and my best friend and her husband. Love tiny get togethers, especially with them. I don't have to strain my back cleaning for them, and they don't mind if the TV is on during dinner (God forbid my husband would have it off while he eats.)
I saw my parents today at my niece's birthday party, so I'm good for 6 months or so. Made small talk, listened to their boring travel stories, nodded when appropriate. They really are cold fish, so we never celebrate holidays with them.
The ham sauce recipe sounds wonderful! I'm lazy, and am just going to use the glaze that it comes with.
I hear you about the grocery store-I had to park in the 2nd half of the parking lot, way over to one side. Crazy. Ever see ther Seinfeld episode about "close talkers?" I had one of those behind me in line. He kept scooching up right behind me and practically talking into my ear. I didn't turn my head for fear of brushing his lips. Lol
-
Close talkers - lol. I hate it when people invade my personal space in line - or anywhere for that matter. All I'm making is what I call "green bean stuff" - the green bean casserole. That's all they wanted. BIL likes to cook.
Hope everyone's meals come out perfect.
-
Yeah he actually ran his debit card through the machine before I was done with my order...so then I had to back him up to get back to the machine. Weirdo
-
Congrats on your thread Burley! It's a hit!!
-
May PeePs be with you.
