Thinking Out Loud.....

Meece - No time at all, I wanted to make sure I provided an accurate description for Sheila. I can link a few things but for some reason, pics do not work well for me. I wanted to post my Christmas tree but have failed.
Sheila - It does rain a lot in WA, I have adjusted but it took me years. Now I prefer it to snow and cold. I remember when we first moved here and Matt was maybe 5 years old. I signed him up for baseball. Every day after school it was raining so I didn't take him to practice thinking that it would not be happening. Got a call from the coach after about a week asking where the heck we were. When I explained he laughed and said " if we only had practice or games when it didn't rain, there would be no outdoor sports in WA at all, get yourself an umbrella and see you tomorrow". And so I learned....now I actually like the rain. In theory, my skin should be better than those on the east coast since I am SO hydrated.

My sister's children have a hispanic father. They lived in CA until they were 6 and 9 and were brown as berries. She then married a guy who lived in Wa and they moved up there. You could barely tell they had any hispanic blood in them after a year or so because they rarely got sunshine on their skin.
-
Oh now, come on, it's not that bad
Actually, the onc believes the whole vitamin D thing with relation to BC. He says the further from the equator, the higher the rate.
I remember 15 years ago, my friend and I sent our boys off to a sailing camp in the summer after sophomore year as they were both really into it. When they flew in after 6 weeks gone, we were at the airport to see these two very brown boys step off the plane. My friend said "Andrew, you are doing your college interviews next week" because he looked as though he may be Native American and she thought it would help his chances.
-
Yes it was actually that bad. Yes, they did get sunshine, but nothing like they got in Central, CA.
That's funny about the native American look. I have some in me, and in my younger days, when I wasn't concerned about melanoma and I purposely tanned, I had hispanics ask me if I were from Mexico.

I will never let go something that I dont know the meaning. Especially this one RCG. Thanks.
Its a beautiful 19 degree today. The grounds look like diamond. It snowed last night today we suffered. i dont like to walk on the ice, I dont like cold.
If I lived in WA I would really look like a ghost. I have a very fair skin.
Good Morning All.
Just think of me this afternoon so I dont make a ffol of myself by sliding on the ice and falling on my butt.
Edited to correct Diane's Abbr. sorry.
-
You have to be careful, Sheila. No more black eyes for you this year!
Does RCP stand for Rain City Pal?
-
Imagine flying to the street like in June. Cars cant even stop its so slippery outside.
If I didn't switch this appointment before I would done it today.
-
Just be super careful, Sheila.
-
Yes, no more slipping and falling! The AG will have to wait!
My youngest has a half day today. He will be here soon with his friends. Long day for me but DH will be home tonight from NYC! YAY!
-
Yes, having the kids around and with friends as well requires a heightened awareness of ALL things. Just keep you eye on the goal of your DH being home soon.
-
I am!! I jus got off the phone with him and his meeting ended really early so he is on his way home. Thank God for the Delta Shuttle!
-
Sheila, did you make it out? Are you frozen some where?

You know how doctors offices tell you there is a charge if you don't cancel 24 hours in advance? I would like to charge the doctors who cancel on patients. It pisses me off too! Sorry you had to deal with that Sheila.
AG has been 4.00 here for the past few weeks. -
I think it has been 2.99 here, but hasn't looked good enough to buy.
-
Meece....You just reached your 10.000 posts.
Ag looked good but not for that price. I wait will go down to 99 or 149.
It pissed me off because it was the coldest day of the year.
Im okay now cozy making some tea.
-
Wow! I hadn't even paid any attention to that. Do I get a prize? A surprise party with some of my favorite ladies from BC.org perhaps? I will pretend to act surprised when I walk into the room. I will practice all day whenever I enter a room.
