Good Morning!
It's a cold one her in MA. Soccer tonight, my parents are coming to watch the game.
-
40 here.
I am warm in my bed.
-
Woke up to 24 degrees here, BRRRRRRRRRR
-
I am glad I am toasty
-
Sheila - I crashed early last night so I missed your message.
I woke up to some serious wind and very heavy rain, which I love to wake up to and then lay around and listen to for a while. Its about 50 degrees. Some mornings I just hate to get up and this is one of them. Ok, I haven't yet. I am waiting for coffee delivery. Thank goodness I trained DH early on this
My blackheads were installed yesterday and I still have blue and purple ink that hasn't come off. Today I have the trainer, need to make lists of what needs to be done by whom, drop off the car for service and get a Christmas tree.
Woo-hoo, coffee is here....:)
-
Enjoy!
-
I dont have coffee delivery.
So Im waiting, its ready so am I.
Good Morning
Its very cozily warm here. The heat is coming 24 hours.
Outside I dont know yet. Going down 18 tonight.
-
We are about 5-10 degrees warmer than normal this year. I am NOT complaining!
-
I'm complaining - it's cold out! Brrrrrrrr. The older I get, the more I can't stand the cold!
LOL on the blackheads being installed - took me a second to realize what you were talking about. I wish they would come up with something that lasts long enough to make it easy for them without being permanent for us. I have 3 - one is tiny - the other two are bigger. Of course the bigger one is the one in front. I had a girl tech and a guy tech who did them. The girl did the tiny one. The guy did the other two - he needs more practice. I want them gone now. I wanted to ask my BS if he would just remove the one in front, but I didn't have the nerve. I'd rather have a small scar than something that looks like a pen mark on my chest. Ugh.
Hope everyone is doing well today.
-
I think they want them to be permenant so if we ever need rads again, they know exactly where you recieved it last time. You cannot get rads again in the same area, I believe. Let's hope we NEVER need to again!
-
today.
Going out to run some errands.
Have a nice day everyone.
Peace
-
I have no idea Linda but that sounds about right....How is everyone today, been off since Friday so called to see if there were hours and going in tomorrow and friday, they will put me somewehere...I am in was out earlier and staying in now, it is really cold out here.
-
Nice to see you Santa!
-
Yes, they do want to know where you have had rads before.
-
You would think they could do a nicer looking mark after all these years. I mean, I might even be willing to have had PINK. Oh well, it is for a good cause. I actually can't get the ink all the way off that they drew on - even used a loofah scrub. I guess it will fade and I can be grateful that it is not summer and I don't have to find a husband.
It is a beautiful day here now but it started quite nastily in terms of weather. Hoping east coast weather is ok tomorrow for my FIL's trip this way. I sent him first to CA to see another relative for a few days and can't wait to get him here again. He is pretty awesome and I have missed my dad for 17 years now, so he helps fill that gap.
Something nice just happened, a friend who is a contractor knew that I needed some things done and that DH is overwhelmed with a major project so he is sending me a handyman for a few hours and then, even nicer, a friend who is a decorator called and asked if she could come help me decorate. Um, yes, absolutely! Not because I can't do it but because she will do it so much better. Does this mean I am following the doc's instructions to use the cancer?
-
Good for you Diane. Have fun!
-
RCG, becareful with your skin. The extra ink will fade on it's own, and you are setting your skin up for a rough time of it anyway.
One of my blackheads was very faint once the extra ink faded. It made it more difficult for them to position the "Ray", so I think pink ones would make it harder for the techs to see. At least I am alive to see those annoying little blue marks.
Once Boosts started they drew on me with a sharpie and covered it with a clear waterproof dressing. They wanted them to always be in the exact same place.
-
I forgot about the sharpie! LOL!
I would suggest moisturing your tata multiple times a day. Get some real pasty stuff and layer it on. Eucerin in the tub was great. Aquafor too.
-
Would you start the moisturizing before then?
-
Wouldn't hurt, just make sure it is at least 2 to 3 hours B4 rads.
-
I'm doin a NO NO, PEEP PEEP
-
PEEP!!!
I moisturized starting about a week prior to starting rads. Then I would not on the morning of my tx, no deo either, and then I would moisturize in the changing room and several times at home. I used to keep aloe in the fridge for when my boob was warm. Felt great!
-
They did the sharpie thing to me for my boosts. I could feel those. The redness was in the same shape as the template. But within a few days after rads the redness went away. I say I did well with rads considering I am a redhead. I miss those people they were so nice.
-
I had blistering with the boosts. My tech was a young man inhis late twenties, very nice, but it sure felt wierd seeing him "see me" every day for a month and a half!
-
I had all female techs except for one time when there was a different rad oncol. taking over for the day. I felt weird. I am modest.
-
You know, during the tx, I sort of disassociated myself with my breasts because so many people had their hands on them or saw them. It was a weird feeling.
