Thinking Out Loud.....

DH bbq'd a tri-tip last nigt and I had to think of what to serve with it. I made a stir fry of purple potatoes, okra, cherry and pear tomatoes, onion, zucchini and garlic. All from my garden, and it was delicious! And very pretty and colorful.
-
Good morning, off to get my nails done!! Whatcha doin?
-
Nothing.
-
good morning. Im fully awake and functioning.
The girls are coming to watch the World Cup with me.
Deb...any news from the AC
Linda...did you have a good time last night/
Meece...Thats my kind of veggies. sometimes I mix everything and even add some mushrooms.
-
I don't grow mushrooms. I would be afraid to eat them. (I should say, I don't grow mushrooms on purpose!)
-
Last night I helped DH put the AC in the bedroom, it was nice. Now to do some more NAGGING to help him put the larger one in the family room. I very good at that. It was cold in work, but I am not complaining. It is suppose to be like this next week also. AAAERRRRRGGGGG
-
Yea Deb has AC....Meece, Seyla,
-
I need some natural air.
I have been home with AC the last 3 days. I cant take it anymore.
Good Night
-
Well we put the larger breaker in (We, meaning DH) and th eac is working fine. I will be happy if it cuts the Electric bill.
-
I'm having tooo much Natural air. The cabins are tiny so they heat up like crazy. Kids and I are not sleeping, way to hot to cook. I wany my AC!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will spend today in the water again!
-
Linda...I really feel for you. Staying in the water is the best solution.
Now humidity is added to the heat. I thought i could have some natural air today. I guess not.
Good Morning.
-
Hope you ladies had a better day today.
It's bad when you are away from your home and your stuff and have to be uncomfortable as well. I think I'd opt to be at home and have to cook as opposed to being too hot away from home.
-
It's only getter worse! My 11 year old had heat stroke today. We were on our boat and he started to faint. I quickly put a life jacket on him and we rushed back to the cabins. He had a 103.6 fever. Not a fun day. He is resting on the futon now, still hot. He has all the fans on him and wet clothes. I hope he makes it through the night and gets some rest. What a day!
-
They said it would be a bad summer and so far it has rang true, hope he is ok, when are you going home? Took Andrew and my grandaughter to a fair today, so wonderful to see him, he so doesn't understand me not seeing him.....I miss him alot, we had fun will post on FB, take care ladies....!!
-
Linda..i mean this the nicest way possible. I hope you are coming home soon.
Did you take him to the ER/ At least its cool there.
Hope he is feeling better. Maybe you really should go to ER if he still has fever.
Sandy..Glad you had good time with grand children.
We had a little party for DD Natalie tonight it was her actual birthday. Christine cooked for her sister. I clean the kitchen and we used disposable everything.
Hi Meece.
Hi Deb.
Hi Foots.
good night
-
Linda, I hope your DS is better today. That's scary.
Seyla, love disposable! When I use the crock pot I love those disposable bags you put in them.
Good morning all.
-
Thanks for the well wishes Ladies. It actually got worse last night. We had to call an ambulance and we spent the night in the hospital with him. Heat stoke and severe dehydration even though he has been drinking gator ade and water like crazy. They said the high temps and humidity is making him sweat 24/7 and his body did not like that. Very scary. We are back at the cabin now and he is sleeping. I am so tired but will sleep later on.
How did I miss that Christine was home? Sounds like a fun bday party! Must be nice to have all the girls together!
-
linda...the same thing happened to Christine when she was younger like 16 or so. It was a hot day nobody wanted to go to the beach so she went by herself (local beach).
while later this person called asking me if i was Christines mother. for a second i thought she drawned. My heart fell. The same thing she gets up takes few steps boom down. I met her in ER she was with iv,s and everything else.
i understand what you went through. they recover quickly. On the other hand its a very scary exprience. Wishing him and your all family safe return home. another heat wave starting on Monday.
Their pictures are all over the face book 2 sisters and close friends are having wonderful time.
Meece disposable when you have more than 3 people.
-
Put pix of Andrew on Fb with the animals, Linda are you ok, know you are worried about him but take care of yourself, Meece, Foots, Seyla.....
-
I don't know whats wrong with me today. First I removed something from FB accidentally
I just realized This thread was also removed from my favorite topics.
Maybe a late reaction to my fall. I need my brain back.
LINDA...I'M THINKING OF YOUR SON AND THE FAMILY. HOW IS HE FEELING TODAY?
TODAY IT WASN'T AS HOT AS BEFORE. ♥

I just got home! AC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We could not let him sleep in the cabin for another night, he was just too hot. Getting him to bed soon. He is better but still not normal. Just needs to rest. I slept 2-3 hours in the past 48 so I am going to bed and not getting up for a LONG time!
Talk to you all tomorrow.
Linda
-
I was just signing off.
So happy you are home.
Talk to you tomorrow.
♥♥
-
Linda, rest, relax and recuperate from your vacation. Hope you all fell better soon.
-
work!!
-
We are back at home. Need to unpack truck and boat, they are still sitting in my driveway. Cory is better but still not normal. He has to drink every 15 minutes for the next week. I would like to have a margarita every 15 minutes for the next week! LOL!
Sandy, I hope work goes by fast for you.
Sheila, I am ordering other countrys food tonight since I did not shop yet. YES I AM!!
So nice to have AC!~
-
Linda...We just ordered other countrys food and ate it. It was so good. The more I ate hungrier I got. Just enjoy it . And eat as much as you can the way I did it.
You are too funny. You dont need another ER visit for alcohol poisining.
At least you are at the comfort at your home with AC.
Cory will get normal soon. that heat took out a lot from him.

Remembering winter
-
We were out most of the day but on the way home we stopped for some take out of another country's food. Mmmmmmmmmm. The tough part is te drive home, smelling it and not being able to eat it. It isn't like french fries in a bag you can nibble from.
-
Meece...Was it the same country food we got?
We can discuss all the delicious details later.
