about 1973.....I am caught by suprise; I have long hair, I am reading something, and am looking over my shoulder in a very sexy and mysterious way (very unlike any other picture I have ever taken).

from the 50's, a photo in which she and her best friend are sitting on a smiling quarter-moon (at Riverview, an old amusement park, in one of those photo places when they provide different backgrounds)... they have on their blue jeans, white sox and loafers.....they have their arms slung around each other's shoulders and their smiles are radiant with pure young happiness.  I found it years ago in a box and took it in for refinishing...I keep it on my nightstand, I just love looking at it.

I won (or should have won) first place for this Halloween costume I put together - it was.....

an obnoxious tourist.....big flowered shirt, loud plaid shorts, knee high white socks covering flip flops, big sun cat eyed sunglasses, straw hat tied below the chin, a big bax camera, a big striped bag with maps sticking out of it, and I would loudly call out to people, "Can you tell me the way to .....?" Actually that is how I met my DH, he was at the same party, dressed in a gorilla costume, and I hailed him over....

Here is how I met my DH or SO.....

At the tender age of 19, I was sitting in a popular lounge with my girlfriends sipping a Whiskey Sour (fake id's in my purse)....he asked me to dance....we talked for a long time, he took my number and called several days later.  It wasn't until our 5th date that I told him I was only 19...he was 26....at the time that was a pretty big difference.  We dated 6 years...he was a "confirmed bachelor".....and next year we celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary!

my friend Margie's son John's wedding.  Because of the drama, food, music, wine and did I mention drama?  Held on her parents' estate, a gorgeous summer afternoon/evening, beautiful tents, the absolute best catered food I've ever tasted and the band was truly incredible - they played everything from Glenn Miller to the Rolling Stones and did it so well.  The drama of her riotously dysfunctional family was at full tilt but stopped short of fisticuffs so the party didn't end abruptly (as I thought it might) ...so we drank wine and danced until 1am.  I've attended tons of weddings over the years but this one remains one of my favorites!

The worst wedding I attended was..................because.............
