(other than the usual babysitting jobs).....at age 14 I was hired by a man who owned a jewish deli. It had a candy counter, deli counter and a few tables and coffee counter in the back. I worked all 3 counters. He was a hardworking good man who was bled dry with his princess wife and daughter. I learned a lot from him.

There are none now and it's a good thing seeing as how I cannot stay up much past 9pm but I used to love Johnny Carson and there was a good one after him with a host named Tom Snyder...always interesting interviews. He used to sit in a chair and smoke the entire hour. The new late night tv hosts just don't hold a candle to J.Carson for me.

....I distinclty felt my grandfather's presence while I was riding the bus to work. When I got home that night, my mom told me that he was gone. I know that he came to say goodbye to me on his way to the other side!
I loved Johnny too, Wellwater! I just told my husband last night, that when I was a girl, I used to wish I could marry him! Nothing is more attractive than a man who makes me laugh!

The Civil War.....I have visited many battlefields, Gettsyburg, Fredricksburg, Vicksburg, etc, My girlfriend and I go to the civil war battle recreations when they are staged in our area. I have read dozens of books on the subject and then passed them along to other afficianados. I am looking forward to reading O'Reilly's book on the assassination of Lincoln...it looks pretty darned good.
