    I do have very curly hair and even nose hairs and arm hairs.   In fact, I am thinking of a trim around the neck area with this hot weather.  But I am almost 15 months since diagnosis.   Tomorrow I get my medi port removed.   Rest and relax as much as you can.   Keep in touch.

    Happy Birthday, Dawn.   Double celebration for you.  I just woke from a long nap after my port removal.   It hurts, but I have some good drugs to take care of it.

    Great to have the port out I'm sure.  My removal is scheduled for Aug. 3, can't wait.  Then my exchange surgery on Aug. 10, can't wait for that either.  Thanks for the Birthday wishes.  Looking forward to meeting you.  HUGS, Dawn

    I am going to try and make it but I live out towards Middleburg and have 3 little ones under the age of 4.....keep us posted on the meeting place.  I am out and about in the Ashburn, Chantilly area if anyone ever wants to meet up for coffee.  I met a great bc sister that lives in Ashburn and we have gotten together a couple of times.  Nice to be able to talk with someone going through what we all are/have.  I try to keep my pre BC friends just that.....the same friend/relationship as before to keep me "normal".  My BC sisters are my rock to get me through this crap and understand all the bc lingo, too :)

    Did I miss anyone that can make it this time? Nancy, would it be too far for you to do Fairfax, maybe somewhere near the Fair Oaks Mall.  What do you guys think about that area? Let's pick the area and then we can pick the place?  Everyone chime in and let us know if this will work?

    Fairfax sounds good, Dawn.  My geography of the area is very lousy since I am a newcomer to the area - 3 years ago.   Many names I never heard before and many places I have no idea where they are.   

    When I was on Face Book I got HUNDREDS of spam emails at the address I used ONLY for that site.   So, I took myself off of it.

    Aldie is near Leesburg. I live in Leesburg and will be back in the States in September, so I'll have to miss this meeting but would love to get together later on. I can't believe how many of you live in Loudoun Co. and thereabouts!

    ANNA - Thanks, I have heard of Aldie, just wasn't sure where it was.  We'll just have to plan another get together when you get back.  We'll miss you this time.

    COLLEEN - I could go for just about any kind of food.  One concern I have with the Jap. Steak House is the seating arrangement.  I've only been to a couple but I know that the ones I have been to have you sit all in a line so as to see the chef, I don't know how good that would be for conversation especially the first time we are all meeting.  Maybe others could chime in on it.

    The is a Macaroni Grill right next to Fair Oaks Mall.  Any other suggestions would be great.

    NANCY - When we get a definite place I can find the address for you.  Do you have a NAV system, or you could just Mapquest it.  Shouldn't be too far of a drive, probably just the beltway to I66.

    I actually got an email from Macaroni Grill today (their ears must have been burning :)).  They are going to have a coupon in this Sunday's newspaper for $5 off two entrees.  For those of you that get the paper, keep your eyes peeled!

    What's your first name so that I can add to the list?  How exciting, we're getting a good group going here.  Thought I read earlier in this thread that you go to Dr. Duda for recon, is that right?  She's my ps too, getting my exchange surgery 8/10, just before we meet.  We can compare notes.

    Dawn - My name is Angela.  Sorry, I usually sign my name on these things!  :-)  Yes, Dr. Duda.  I LOVE the work she has done on me.  I just had my nipple recon a few weeks ago and am thrilled.  You didn't happen to be at her office on Tuesday morning were you???

    OH MY GOSH! What are the chances?  I was there with my husband and said to him that I loved your hair and couldn't wait for mine to get to that point.  You look great!!!!
