That utube was the best.  Die at any speed type of vehicle, but green it is, endorsed by Pelosi too.  What more could we want?

I think the stimulus package should go strictly for schools so we can so we can at least hope for a smarter bunch of legislators in the future.

Yup, we're getting a tax cut too.  $1000 per couple, $500 for singles.  Money going out, less money coming in, all of which will have to be paid for somehow.  If they just didn't look to us to be the answer to all of their debts.  There will be a business tax credit too which I can sign on for.  That usually heals a bad economy by itself. 

If this was my package to plan, it would be for schools, States (for their infrastructure needs) and business tax credits.  We need to get our States off our backs with their taxing. All these foreclosures only make them look at us too for income.

Here is an interesting article about a new museum in Iraq that is showing its people about the atrocities of Sadam. The press of course will ignore what sadam did while they gleefully reported the juvenile antics of a bunch of young soldiers who did embarassing things at abu garib and called that "torture". What those kids did was despicable, but pales in comparison to the real torture by the likes of Sadam:

Also at humanevents, check out the article about Pelosi repealing the Gingrich fairness doctrine which allows the minority to submit counter bills or even debate. She plans to silence the minority so that she can do whatever she pleases, and no one will know. This women is sickening. Bring back that ugly picture of this ugly women Shirley!

When Carter was president  does not compare to what has happened under president Bushey.. After all he said he's the decieder.. he and cheney allowed their oil BUDDIES to make profits up to 40 Billion in a single quarter.. and now gas is this low..  What changed..hummm  can you say ..the american people have been cheated..   

You talk about corrupt IL politics COME ON.. I'm from IL and the last time i checked, Blago was and is a REPUB so the conversation should be about the corrupt republicans .. RIGHT !   

I guess we get caught up in politics on both sides.. I do respect your opinions..

But as far as the name chose for the board i think that was a low blow.. My life experiences gives me the right to use the name that chose...and my political opinion changes nothing..

You talk about Saadam Huss and what he did .......come on.. What about Slavery..Did any Sovergien Country come over here and invade the USA ?? Absolutly not.. so what gave Bushy the right to invade iraq?

What needs to happen: He needs to be charged with war crimes and put in jail for killing and injuring at least a million innocent Iraq people...

It's elementary, dear Watson : the economy went south and demand fell.  Even countries like China who is a big oil consumer are slowing down considerably. Once the economy picks up you will see the oil prcies heading north.

I won't mention any names, but someone from over <-----------------------said that after the inaugural address that Obama would escort Bush to a departure ceremony.........

Now, this person didn't remember Bush doing that for Clinton.  NO HE DIDN'T.  I thought the Clintons WOULD NEVER LEAVE!

Bush has been a class act during this trying time.  He has included Obama in EVERYTHING.  Nothing like the transistion Clinton gave to Bush.  Obama is updated on EVERYTHING!  That's because I truly believe that our President loves this country.

Too bad Paulette .. can a person have an opinion without being persecuted the way that I have.. I have not questioned any ones character but you seem to feel its ok to question mine.. politics is a difficult and raw topic and everyone has an opinion..

I am the same person i was when i first joined.. just because a person does not think the same way as you and your repub friends does not give you or any one else the right to question my character..  I thought this was America .. or have i crossed over into some parallel  universe..

Oh boy, as I was getting to feel good about Obama, my fears comes through after all. Obama nominated two peope for our spy agencies who don't have any experience in the security community. I was always scared that Obama will do something stupid like that and 8 years without terrorist attack on our soil would come to an end.

At least there is a hope that they will not get confirmed. Apparently Obama was arrogant enough to not even consult Diane Feinstein who is a head of intelligence comittee and who is not thrilled with the selection. She sounded pretty upset about this in her statement.

I understand that there were actually pictures of Bush parachuting out of the plane just before it hit World Center. But of course right wing zealots took extraordinary measures to prevent American public from seeing them.
