I'm bitchy, I moan, I groan.....anyway.

Dream, if they ever tried to ban you, too, I'd have to gather the B*tch Squad together & grab a garden tool.
PM me about where our friend is. I would list the link, but I don't want her to be hassled or followed.
We need hugs, not cliques.
-
Well, my gyn agreeed that a total hyst is what I need. That is good, but it is making this surgery seem real. Up til now it has just been the chemo, but now I am moving into a whole new realm of treatment.
-
Hugs, Blessings, Prayers and THAT SUCKS as needed.
I am trying to schedule the MUGA, mammo, Dexa, pap smear and surgical follow up so I am not spending all my time doing still more medical appointments. I think my car is on auto pilot for the cancer center. These are routine tests, Muga to monitor the herceptin treatments, but does it ever let up? When the parking valet calls you by your first name....

lovin...I hear you. I'm getting my ovaries out tomorrow and I'm holding my breath to get it over with. It's already been cancelled twice because I got sick. This morning I woke up and got my period. WTF? Too bad, soo sad for them - they are doing the surgery anyway. I don't even want to hear that they want to postpone because of this...it would not be safe for them to evey try!
I haven't seen LuAnn or Wish...in a long while now...((((Lu, Wish)))) I hope you are away because life is being good to you!
Nick - I hope you are reading and smiling knowing there are lots of people here who love you and support you...no number of deleted posts can change that.
Gotta get back to work everyone...I got set up from home so I could stay out of the office until I had the surgery because the cold I had is gone but now it's going back around the office...it's been going round and round our office since December. Crazy bug.
Love you guys...
-
Hugs Bonnie. Let me know how things go. Hugs for all. Nancy
-
Thanks Nancy...will do...when r u there next? I'm still on for Thursday but Kelly is bringing me...she would love to see you guys....
-
Navy, let your period be a surprise to your medical team just like it was for you. Seems fair to me....
-
Bonnie, I am not there till NEXT Thurs. April 2. Good Luck, HUGS and prayers. HI to Kelly.
-
IOS today is that dh is so worried and very stressed about finances, business is worst since the first yr they opened, waiting to get college admit for dd which means next yr 2 in college..he is so out of sorts and I can't do anything to help.
SOI is that we had 9 day trip, just us 2, and it was really great, peaceful, calm, quiet etc.
Hugs and prayers to all in need.
-
Navy, surgeons are used to blood. They might not even notice. Good luck to you, tho' and let us know how you are.
EWB, so great to have time off. We all deserve a break from this whole @#$&^*^#@ thing.
Nancy, you need a personal assistant. And a chauffeur.
Lovin, sorry you're facing surgery, too.
Dream, how are ya, sweetie?
Barbe and everyone else I haven't mentioned by name, hugs to all & a big THAT SUX.
Kathi
-
Thanks Kathi...good to see you
EWB - you too...maybe it's just my memory but I don't think I've seen you lately either(longer than you were gone for)? Sounds like you were having fun though.
Traci - say hi to the brother for us! Sounds like a lot of fun....
Hugs and a big THAT SUX to everyone...just doing a drive by killing time before my surgery. I sure hope then don't regret that prep they gave me...once they put me under, I'm not gonna be in control and it was not a fun night!
Please say a prayers there isn't too much scar tissue and the doc is able to get these buggers out...I'd like to think this is my LAST period!

A big that sucks to all that need it.
I do think that Wish has been posting on the exchange link, I too have been worried about LuAnn.
My Suck for the week: I went out to my car yesterday afternoon to head off to school for the damn think not to start. I made of strange sound and nothing else. I came back in the house to inform SO who asked if it was the battery. I didn't think so but asked how would I know. He came out and decided it wasn't battery. Next he wanted to move it over to the side. I sit in the car while he started pushing. I attempted to turn the wheel on the car and both sides of my chest screamed in response. I fought it for a few minutes and then had to say that I couldn't turn to wheel even thou the car was in neutral. Luckily the drive way it kind of a hill and we got it moved. Now I don't have money until next month and hate the idea of having to ask him to get my car fixed. He has been supporting me since July when I stopped working because of this bc. I have been waiting on Social Security to make a decision since December. I did hear from them yesterday saying that they are now requesting medical records from all my doctors. I feel like by the time they make up their minds, I will be able to go back to work. I don't know what I want to do, but since I am working on my master's maybe I can find something locally or on-line after I graduate. I know that I refuse to commute over 65 miles each way to work anymore. My old body just can't take it.
I am going out side and kick the car and hope it will respond.
-
Bonnie - let us know when you wake up, girl! It'll be fun if you're all loopy!
Lisa
-
popping in quickly to give you guys an update on Nicki (chemosabi) - the approvals for her chemo came through today and the drugs are being overnighted to her... yeah - now she can focus on fighting the cancer instead of fighting to get the drugs. Thought you'd all like to know.....
Doreen
-
Thanks Doreen, she was really batlling uphill on this one!
-
Navy- I was away for about 9-10 days but had some trouble finding things when I got back with this renaming thing.
My prayers are with you all...good luck with surgeries and broken cars (maybe if you kick it really hard and pout a little) and poopy offices, all that stuff (like life)
I am thinking of getting a cute little kitty to brighten things up here.

Hi all!
I'm alone at last! Good God Almighty...I'm alone at last!! Man, when you live alone, doing something every single day and night for two weeks is friggin' exhausting! My brother is over at my sis's tonight and I passed. I've had a cold (again) for the last 3 days and I am just whooped. I wanted to come online though and see how all my sista's are doing...and then, it's me, a glass of wine and a good book (if I can see it) in bed.
((((Bonnie)))) Good luck on your surgery tomorrow. Hopefully, you'll breeze right through it like I did. You too Kimberely.....I had the robotic hysterectomy and it really wasn't that bad. At all. I hope it's easy for you too.
Lisa, you are too funny......Navy would be a blast all loopy wouldn't she!!!!
Deep sigh....Nancy....I hear you on the valet knowing your name girl. ((((hugs to you))))
Pinky, sorry 'bout your car trouble. That ..... sux. I ran over a curb today and the whole way home, I was gripping the wheel praying I didn't have a blow out. I hate worrying about a car.
I saw LuAnn post on another thread...I can't remember which one.....imagine that.
I love you girls.
Traci
-
P.S.: ((((((((((((((Dream)))))))))))))) Forgot to say.... your in my thoughts and prayers.
-
Thanks for the info on Lu Ann. I glad she is okay. I remember she was having some problems.
-
You asked. Im fine. Tired .... only seem to have about 6 hours per day that is usable. Hate to waste it but.... I get up have a cuppa coffee and fall asleep. If I dont I stay awake til 2 and sleep til dinner. Its pathetic. Babies are awake more than me. But my therapist says what I have, I have. Dont abuse it. Use it. Make sure 6 hours is worth remembering. Yeah! But that is beginning to take travel out of my future. If I cant be awake enough to enjoy it. Will see. In meantime, aim to start my own clothing line..... to accomodate the LE arm. My blouses just dont fit, year to year.
-
(((Dream)))) you sound like you need a cocktail. I'm sure I have something here I could fix you....
Random though - wtf did they come up with the word "cocktail" I'm sure it has something to do with drunken young men and loose women from the sounds of it but somehow...it just seems wrong.
Anyway...sorry you missed the loopy phase...I dosed on and off for hourse when I got home. I was fine until the meds wore off about 1am and I had to p. Did not expect to have pain doing that but I guess it makes sense if theres some kind of inflamation from the surgery. Other than that it's not that bad. My tummy is sore, but I don't think I'll be out of work as long as I planned...unless of course my period continues
I don't plan to go back until that part is done...nope, not gonna do it. Never had a reason to not go in when it came, I finally have one and I'm a gonna use it!!!! Especially since it's my last one!!!!! Hot flashes and osteoporosis (making up m spelling again) will be a whole different story but it can't be any worse than bleeding and cramps.
I have no idea what I'm gonna do now at this hour...but I'm sure I can find something to occupy my mind while still keeping my feet up and the ice pack on my tummy.
NO IOS's today...((((everyone)))))
-
WhaSux?? Good to see the IOS's are being kept to a minumum!
Hugs dream--I was just telling a friend that I sleep 10-12 hours a day & when I get up I'm still tired! This fatigue is way beyond what I felt with sx or A/C! I agree that you & I need to make the most of our awake hours-I KNOW you do! I been spending more & more time at the shelter---might get lucky & parle this into a paying position......pray it happens since I have a son entering college & NO $ to help him!
Navy-YEAH for your swift recovery! I was gonna say you have brass ovaries...but not no more! LOL
Traci--hope this cold passes quickly! It sux that you have another. I hear ya on the company thing---the good part is that when they leave even tho you are sad, part of you appreciates the quiet & having your space back!
AKA---you make even sucky lists sound funny---I'm getting sick of all the medical types recognizing me & remembering my name!! LOL
My puter is acting funny so I can't go back & read what I have forgotten ALREADY! Hope you all are keeping the darkness at bay! I am going on a Confirmation retreat this weekend so you should all FEEL it when 46 teens pray for you! HUGS
Be well & stay strong
-
oops--went back & see not all the IOS's are small! SORRY!
Hugs Kim--maybe you can follow in Navy's footsteps & have an easy go of it!
Lisa--you made me LOL hoping for Navy to be loopy!
Hugs to ALL...a pitch fork or shovel for any who need it--THAT SUX!

Goodnight folks. It was a quick check in. The cats are snoring... time for me to go to bed.

Hello...I'm new here. I love this thread. So many of the posts have made me laugh and cry. For the most part, family and friends have been very supportive. My husband has been great.
But I do have a few things to vent about...When I told my boss I needed to take time off for my lumpectomy, the only reply she could give me was that I couldn't miss Wednesdays. So I had to put my surgery off for another month. I finally told her why I was so angry. So needless to say...when I needed to schedule time off for my bilateral mastectomy three months later, she realized it was serious and didn't give me a hard time. Funny thing is, I work in a hospital.
And I need to vent about my neighbor. I was listening to her talk on and on about breaking up with her boyfriend for about an hour. Finally she asked how I was doing. I said I had breast cancer. The only thing she could mutter was that if I died I would go to heaven and wouldn't have to pay my mortage. That was so irritating!! I'm not like her; I don't have two mortages on my house. And I have three children. I think they might miss me just a little bit. Needless to say, I walked away after that.
But it is true..people can be so down right insensitive and annoying!! -RebeccaT

HUGS, Blessings, Prayers and a THAT SUCKS for everyone who needs it.

Nicki: You are Supremely Missed on these boards. xoxox rock -
That SUX! ...but welcome Stella...
-
Nicki!!!! Stage 4....That SUCKS!!! Love ya, sister. Welcome, Stella. How are you doing?
Hey to everyone and fair warning: I retire in FOUR days and I will again have time to check in more regularly. Having bilat DIEP recon on April 15th....some one at work asked why I am having surgery so soon after I retire and I told him it is so I can put the whole breast cancer thing behind me. I don't think he gets it, oh well. You guys do.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!!!
Love,
Sue
