I'm bitchy, I moan, I groan.....anyway.

Can you smell your pills .... my very pores seem to be seeping this chemical smell. My daughter says she cant smell anything. But I sure do. What if I reek?

Wishiwere logged in but didn't post on Mar 15.

dream- glad to see you. sorry to hear you're so tired.
Saint- what an apt name for dealing with the play and those girls. A bob with long hair, hmmmm, kind of mind boggling.
Hugs to all and a big "that sucks" to all who need.
-
A big hello to everyone. I'm here marking my spot and shouting out a big that sucks to all who need it. I'm doing pretty well with my stage 4 diagnosis but here is my IOS for the day. I was supposed to start chemo yesterday and my insurance won't cover it. Xeloda and Tykerb happen to be considered "specialty drugs." Now I say to you - that sux. But have no worries, you don't anger chemosabi and I'm ready to roll. Trying to get the pharmaceutical company to have a little pity on me.
Don't try to pm me and I'm hair today and maybe gone tomorrow. Speaking of hair, I got my mine cut really short on Thursday. It's cute and I got my curls back. Sorta of making my statement that I'm ready to fight this battle. Come visit me at my blog "it's in my signature below" as that is where I have been hanging out lately.
Gawd I miss all of you so much.

Hugs Nicki. Sucks about your ins. Darnit, what are they thinking? I went to your blog and couldn't figure it all out. I'm a tad puter challenged to put it mildly
-
Oop! I'm computer challenged myself. Try this.

Hi girls...a big that SUX to all...I'm not staying to read up on all the threads but did want to pop in and see how the weekend was going for you guys!
Lisa - yes, I got on some amoxicillian and it seems to be clearing it up nicely...
Lovin...I'm glad to hear your good news! money worries none of us need! I just did my bills and I no sooner got paid, and I am literally broke again...on the plus side, we have food in the house and I was able to pay the 3 bills I had sitting on the counter for 3 weeks so...I don't have any left, but I ain't behind either!
I hope everyone has a quiet night and a beautiful Sunday!
-
Just stopping by to say having a fantastic weekend. The aunts took me out to lunch and then shopping.... and a got a new flannel jacket.... wow.
-
Why did the community delete Chemosabiss?
Big THAT SUCKS to all.
-
A big THAT SUX to all who need it.
We come here for support and for a safe place to gripe about the things that could otherwise make us crazy, we need to support each other, not delete posts, especially the posts of a sister who is newly dealing with a stage IV diagnosis and having issues getting her insurance to pay for her treatment. If that isn't wothy of a post in this forum, I can't imagine what is.
-
I want to make it very clear that 'Deleted by the Community' does NOT mean deleted by the Bitch & Moan community. We would welcome Nicki here. It is a few disgruntled members in the community at large who continue to track down her every post and alert each other to quickly eliminate each one. Sad.
Lisa

Thanks for the clarification Lisa. Does anyone know what she did to warrant being baned? I want to make sure I don't do the same thing. I'd be lost without this support system.
I didn't know the community could make that kind of decision. If it can without the intervention of the moderators, I'm not entirely sure this is the place for me. It would be nice to know what happened before I make a complaint to the moderators.
I may be speaking prematurely but why isn't anyone coming to her rescue during a time she needs it most?
-
oh not again...(((((Nicki)))) I'm sorry you can't be left alone even at a time like this. I can't believe they haven't come up with a way to block this from happening. Unfortunately Renee, the only ones who can stop this are the moderators. There needs to be a change in the rules as to how, who and when someone can delete a post. I don't know who's behind it, but it seems to me the time to let it go has long come and gone.
I hope the lack of posts means it's been a quiet weekend. I have nothing but good news to post...1st, a very dear friend has offerred to help me financially until this crisis is over and my budget isn't so strapped. That alone is a huge relief for me as the past few months have just been grueling financially. 2nd, my cold has gotten better to the point that I was able to take my bike out and enjoy our spring day. I'm still recovering and I only did 11 miles...I can only imagine what I'm going to feel like tomorrow but it was so good to get out and ride. 3rd...I've lost 12lbs which means I can fit into some of my old pants agian!! WOW it feels good to have things going in the right direction finally!
I hope everyone is having just as good if not an even better day!
(((Everyone))))

We sure do need to change the rules if a group can get together and delete someone else's post. I think the owner of the post or the moderators should be the only ones authorized to delete a post.
I can't believe someone is that childish.
Navygirl: I think I found that 12 pounds you lost! It has been a glorious weekend - glad you enjoyed it.
-
dream- great to hear you're having a good weekend.
kmc- i agreee, such a shame that someone should be so small minded that they can delete another.
navy girl- way to go, biking sounds awesome and impressive on the 12 pounds
hugs to all and a big "that sucks" to all that need it.
-
Excuse me for continuing this topic, but isn't it ONLY the moderators or the person who post who can delete a post? In other words, there is no place that I can see to delete a post other than my own.
-
Hi all. Sorry I haven't been around much. My brother and I drove back to our home town of San Angelo yesterday and hooked up with two old friends, one that we hadn't seen in 24 yrs.
Man, time sure does fly.
It seems as though nothing has changed with the exception of the new loop that goes around the town. Too funny...we got a hotel room and then my bro and one friend went to go get her car on the outskirts (is that how you spell that?) of town where we all met up, while me and my other friend waited. They were back in about 20 minutes. You can drive from one side of town and back in less than half an hour. Unbelievable.
It sure was good to hook up with old friends.
Hugs everybody. I can't remember what I just read.....sorry.....I hope everybody is o.k. and I don't know why Nicki was banned.
-
I'm with Nancy on this one. How does anyone but the moderator or poster delete a post?
-
who is hell is the community that can delete a post? I felt like this was an open site
Has anyone heard from LuAnn?
-
All it takes is something like 5 users using the report this post feature (implemented to help deal with spam) and the users' post gets removed - supposedly to then be reviewed by the moderators. Once the post has been deleted the user is temporarily banned - I don't know for how long though - there are people here that are totally misusing the feature and causing havoc (over and over with different people) and seem to suffer no repercussions or consquences.
it's disgusting and very cruel especially now when Nicki needs support.

Good point Blue ...

It sux!
But take comfort, sisters---what goes around, comes around! All you do in life comes back to you, so we can take comfort in the knowledge that karma will prevail.
...besides, it is sad when your life is so small & focus so narrow that you would choose to waste your time on an online vendetta! I feel sorrier for that "community" than I will ever feel for Nicki who is loved & supported by so many!
It still SUX! HUGS-be well & stay strong
-
I think it is shameful that anyone would feel it is okay to do this to someone. Anyone who is on this site needs to have the freedom to say what they feel. It's not like you come to the cancer discussion board because you are bord or something.
It is sad that sickness make some people mean and that what it takes to have someone banned or censored at a place you come to let off feelings that are real with life and death situations.
All I can say is I hope whoever feels they need to do this never has the need to express feeling that someone else may not like.
Remember, what comes around goes around and one day you may be the one deleted.
-
Yikes, makes me worry that I'll pi$$ someone off bad enough one day...
-
I'm sad to say I think there's been a bit of a problem on The Beach thread too.
-
What up with this? Don't these people have enough going on in their lives that they can leave other people alone to grip all they want to or did they forget that all of us are sick and that sickness manifest it self differently in all people.
I know that there are times that I need to bitch and grip, I would hate to think that someone has the power to delete my bitching. I feel like we come here to bitch because we can't always say what we feel to those close to us because they don't understand. I would think that other suffering from the same condition would show compassion, not act like a vindictive teenager.
-
WhaSux?
I see suspicious banning on other threads of unlikely offenders to the community at large! Maybe if this problem is escalating & innocent posts are being reported it will cause a change in the way banning happens! IF the moderators actually READ what the community reported it may be clear that innocent posts/ppl are being targeted.
We are beating a dead horse until something is done to change the whole report/ban procedure. PM your concerns to the moderators.... I am signing off on this topic, publicly-opinions posted here are useless-no more from me on it!
Be well & stay strong
-
I know the moderators have a very large job when you think about it, and I am NOT defending the folks who originally complained. But Saint is right. The moderators can only take these things as face value & aren't going to know that we're concerned about this unless we tell them directly, which I plan to do.
Nicki is available on another forum, BTW.
-
We have had this discussion before and I was terrified that I could be next. And then I opened myself to it by opening a thread about death and dying! But even the moderators seem to like the new thread. I have friends all overr the board, and I am not spread too thin. There has to be an answer. I dont think the moderators ban people lightly. If it were up to the computer then yes someone may have found a way to be nasty. It is too sad that our humanity it taken away from us. We do know that they are already reviewing the situation.
