I will try and get photos of all 4 beaches that we will be cruiseing to.
-
Have a great time Mum and we are looking forward to seeing your pix
-
-
Lisa, love the pebble pics.
-
Mum I can't wait to hear how how you enjoy the cruise...I'd really like to plan on that for next year. It'll be interesting to learn who you meet from BCO - I hope there's a way to find out other than leaving it to chance, ya know?
Lisa those pictures are soooo cool
-
Mary, some of our coastline is rocky...some sandy beaches, go figure
-
Lisa, I love the colors in the stones, and the collage layout. Which beach coastline is that?
-
It is the coast at the northern section of Point Loma, where the tidepools are...actually
part of the Cabrillo National Monument...
-
Wow, wish I had known about the tidepools there. I was familiar with Point Loma around Shelter Island, and Humphrey's By the Bay. I remember you posting some tidepool pics. Did you take them there?
-
yes, I took them there..one of my fav spots..other side of Point Loma
-
Barb, Hugs to you - keep us up to date, so sorry about your MIL and the long trip. Remember this is a "family" thing here.... you can tell us anything - the good, the bad and the ugly. We've got your back!
-
Lisa you're a true artist! I would want to gather all the beautiful rocks and put them in jars, bowls and set them around my house... I pick up rocks everywhere I go.
-
-
Wow, chabba, that looks fake!
-
It has been rare to have that much of a blue sky lately. The photo was taken at the beach by a local gentleman. when we moved here 21 years ago you were lucky to see a bald eagle once or twice a year. Now there are several nests and you can spot an eagle almost any day along the beach. One even has a favorite sign he perches on.
-
one of our sisters who lives in FL and posts to facebook chronicled a nest this year - it was awesome to see the fledglings in their various stages to flight. awesome creatures
-
There is a beach here...I sat on it..just hard to get a photo of it
-
Thanks so much for the pix, I really need things like that....how is everyone on this Saturday?
-
I am busy Blondie..wash etc. I am hoping for the sun to come out
Here is a rocky beach, but it is so peaceful
-
SocalLisa, where is that picture (the one without the lighthouse) taken? That's beautiful!
-
the one without the light house was near Juneau
-
Love it-I made it my screensaver
-
Guess we better take lots of photos of glaciers before they are all gone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Wow, gorgeous pics, Lisa. They look like pro postcards.
Love the bald eagle, Chabba. Dolly Parton has an eagle conservation program at her amusement park, Dollywood, in Tennessee. They truly are majestic birds.
-
Love coming in tonight -- to see all the pictures.
Love all the conversations, too.
Remember me telling the story about Verona, Italy & our arriving just in time to see the parade, re-enacting the US Army liberating the city at the end of WWII?
Someone asked for pictures.
I've finally gotten to that story on my blog.
Here's a couple pics:
Notice the Colosseum, in the background of the final shot! We were up in the top of that when the parade magically unfolded before our very eyes, below.
You can see a bit of what all of the vehicles looked like, as they 'massed' at the end of the parade. Too amazing for words.
-
oh my Lord Faith ... that is amazing to look at from here, I can't begin to imagine what it was like to see in person. sharing photos makes us (at least me) feel a little like we were right there along with everyone in their travels. I love it
-
Very cool Faith..what a thing to see..
-
It really was one of the most amazing events..... to observe.
Once we went down into the crowd it was more like we were participants.
I feel so fortunate that we stumbled in at the exact moment.
I'm glad to share the adventure.
I adore living vicariously through everyone's adventures.
Hope that everyone has a great week.
Tomorrow night is my first-ever "webinar" presentation. Somehow I scheduled it on a day where I will be with kindergartners ALL day long. Hopefully all the technology will work. I have a couple of dozen gals signed up -- from across the whole country.
Every day, a new adventure.
Our plan is to head up north when I finish the week on Fri. Sunsets on the beach HERE I COME!!!!!

Hi to all you Lovely Beachettes,
Just stoping by to say Hi. The last time I checked in was page 675, so you see I will never be able to catch up on all that is going on. The pics are great, the shoes are even better. I hope everyone is doing great and having a nice spring.
Here in Buffalo, I am freezing, turned the heat on today. Not fun with all the rain.
Sending (((((Hugs and Prayers)))))
Cheryl
