This is a happy picture from PhotoBucket-land.....
Just makes me smile!

Happy birthday Sheila!!!!

Faith, your way with words never ceases to amaze me. Your tribute to mothers/sisters on the preceding page brought tears to my eyes, thank you. I don't think Hallmark needs any more money - I think we should just decide amongst ourselves when Sisters Day will be. Let's do a poll ... I think spring would be lovely for that, but we already have Mother's Day, then Father's Day. Then we have the whole patriotic thing during the summer, then the winter holidays. But we have that lag between Jan and Easter ... I'm thinking early March might be nice! Weigh in beachettes - you know how Faith and I just love an excuse to party!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHIELA

Love the Happy Birthday Beach picture.... can you imagine the person that just spent several minutes making the writing just right, ready to take the picture and then have... precious child get excited and run right into the writing because they wanted to help too!
Just love the little ones!!!!

(((((((((HUGS BACK SHIELA)))))))))
Talking about the shore I wanta go but kids, grandchildren have sports and honestly with me with Mother's Day and everyday, you never know what will happen next year....how will I be, will I be here, wish I could be like others and be positive, I am not like that I am a 1/2 empty kinda person......
Have a good day everyone!!
-
Blondie, I don't know if I'll be here next year either. I do not make long-term plans....sigh.
-
Blondie & Barbe.
I have no insight into the 'being-here-next-year-syndrome.' I do know that my dear Saint always used to talk of stringing "short-term & immediate-look-forward-to's" together and that ended up seeing her thru nearly five years of mets.
She never thought of next Mother's Day, the day of, but instead would think of what can I look forward to tomorrow? Meeting a pal for a cup of cuppa. Taking the dog out for a walk. All immediate and short term.
In the several years of our friendship I got to participate in her one day to the next milestones. She made an art out of the process.
In any case, on my blog I put up some pics of bicycles all from the walled village of Lucca. Barbe I thought you'd especially enjoy their linear quality -- with the backdrop colors.
ITALY!! ITALY!! ITALY!!
I loved walking about for an afternoon of sunshine.
It was like all of these bikes were "posing" for me.
**Hope that you enjoy.
-
Lots in Holland too.
-
LOVE the bike pix!
-
those pictures are soooo what I imagine when I think of beautiful European locations
I think the one where you can see flowers through the basket on handlebar might be my favorite. Lisa, I don't know how you get anything done - if I had your pictures I'd do nothing but sit around all day and look at them!!
-
Thanks Faith, I remember the first green one from your blog. I am just a bit down right now as I am being checked for ovarian cancer and I just don't need another crisis in my life...it is so draining and I've used up my energy on other worries. I just have nothing left to even care if it's positive. How sad is that? I shouldn't bring it to the beach...I'm sorry, but I know you ladies understand....
-
Beachies, I love the pics of the stones and bicycles. It is fodder for the imagination! A bicycle ride to fill my basket with formaggio and fresh bread from the panetteria, a seaside picnic, white stones filling my cargo pockets for my indoor zen garden, and wildflowers picked alongside the road to fill my empty bottle of vino that I shared last night with......Signore Molto Bellissimo! LOL
Love you ladies!
Faith, you have such words of comfort to share. Thank you for keeping Saint an inspiration to us all.♥ (((((((Blondie))))))) ((((((((Barbe)))))))))
-
{{{BARBE}}}} Gentle hugs for you.
-
((((((((((((((((((Barbe)))))))))))))))))))))
Barbe, I am grateful that you've given the gift of trust to us, here at the beach. I know we each work to bring our 'best' selves forward, here...... with images that uplift and sharing our experiences in the hopes of brightening another's day. That's all brilliant, indeed.
But to share our sorrows and our concerns and our deep aches is what this place is all about, too. We stand beside you in this time of great unknowns. We will help carry you with our frothy nonsense and glorious vistas.
Of course, even considering another battle is too much to consider. So don't. When the day arrives, should you need to hitch up your big-girl panties, you will, cuz that's the only option. We'll cajole you and carry you -- should that be necessary. In the meantime, give your focus to that pack of amazing babies that have graced your story. Make up dreams and journies for their days and nights.
Sending love and hugs across the miles.
I hope that our beach can always be one we treasure -- in the sandcastles and the sun. We also know that even the beach sees it's storm from time-to-time. That's when you're glad that you're a beachie-girl -- when you need to howl into the depths of the waves.
We're here for you...... the great collective 'you.' We're here for those who occasionally read along, or come by now & then for the view. We've woven a fabric that can hold the tears and the laughter. There are times when they are woven simultaneously. Howl and cry and then get thee out to some sunshine and dream on!!

You are a gift to us, Faithie.
-
(((Barbe))) Keep us updated we all need to know how you are doing.
Faith and Lisa glad your both back safe. Loved all the photos.
-
Faithie you are so wonderful with the words, thank you for that
Barbe for me is fine, if it is in your heart and heavy on your soul and mind then it must be released and we can take it....and it takes away from what I am dealing with....
-
Faith, you really were blessed with a way of saying things that gets to the heart of the matter. Barbe, please read what Faith wrote again but this time pretend I'm saying it. I have no shame.
Hugs to you all ... big ones.
-
Barbe; its' important to you, its' important to me. somedays at the beach, we can't even concentrate on that big, wonderful oceans, cause our troubles look even bigger.. i love ya, girl... 3jays
-
Wow, you ladies knew what to say to make me feel hopeful
. Thank you for all the kind words and acceptance of my fear. That's what it is....fear. I am afraid.
My MIL died yesterday and we will have a 10 hour round trip for the funeral as we can't afford to stay overnight...sigh.
The wheel of life grinds on.
Love,
-
So sorry Barbe(((hugs to you and your DH)))
