MissB - some of the best pictures - ever!!! How awesome that you get to see that!!
Since this is the beachies site, and since it's Spring and Mother's Day, I'll post a pic that I know I posted before, but maybe some newbies didn't see. It's a sundown pic at our campground bay on the Delaware Bay. And please know that I wish you all a wondermous Mother's Day, whether you are a mother now, or hope to be, or were a good daughter to a mother, which I hope I was. FB had a thing saying to post a pic of your mom on your profile and I found one of me and my Mom that I just love and it's made me feel warm and fuzzy for days
Be well and live well and think well my beachy buddies, I love you all.
-
There is a beach here too

More cakes for my beachie friends!
Faithie, a polka dot cake in your honor. My wonder boy is doing amazingly well. Thanks for asking. He LOVES his new school, is happy every day, and is even making friends at home. The autism program he is in is fantastic. The next door neighbor's son and friends have taken him under their wings, so in the afternoon, the "boy's club" come over to play. It's like watching the movie Stand By Me. So cute.
-
Can't wait to go to my shore house............It has been a long cold winter...........Just to sit beside my pool, and meditate..................Gotta watch the burn.
-
MissB love the polka dot cake... fabulous.
-
Ducky, we haven't opened up our trailer yet and it's killing me! Would have gone this weekend but having major work done on house beginning Wednesday and need to clear the decks on first floor, so it's a working weekend at home. Sitting on our enclosed back porch down there is one of my favorite places in the world to just sit and chill. So I understand your feelings exactly!
-
Marlegal.....will be going down Memorial Day weekend..........we will probably go on Thursday afternoon since I have Rads at 9am at Delaware County Mem Hosp........I am skipping Rads on Friday and Monday..........and also have to skip this coming Friday........My grandaughter is graduating from CAtholic University of America in D.C. and I am making the trip down....so I already told them I would be missing............Then we probably won't go back till the kids get out of school.............Unless we get a free weekend without sports, and my daughter wants to go.............I doubt that though......its hardly worth it going Friday night, and coming back early Sunday because the kids have school Monday..........I guess we'll just play it by ear....I still have Rads to finish so I can't be taking anymore time off...........I have 23 more to do, and so far so good, but I'm not getting my hopes up to get through this "burn free".
Hey girlie you have a great Mother's Day, and maybe this summer we can get together down the shore.................hugs.
-
Ducky, we take Mondays off during late June, July and August as our vacation - agree that coming home Sunday sucks! But we'll do it during May, and then Sept/Oct just to get there when we can. We both just chill so much when we're there ... down to the bay for sunsets or just sitting in our chairs in the sand watching the water .. aaaahhhh
As for rads, I used 100% aloe gel, which you can find in any drugstore or supermarket for cheap, just make sure it's 100% aloe, and I had hardly any burn at all, truly. I used hte cream they gave me and recommended too, but I added the aloe myself several times a day at the suggestion of another bco member. Good luck hon.
-
Aloe Vera was what my RO recommended. He also suggested Vitamin E oil. I had very little problem, just some thickening of the skin around the nipple that took about 6 months to clear up.
-
miss B, glad your move worked out so well. i admire you doing so much to make that little boys life so much easiar, and so close to his favorite spot on earth!!!ps. loved loved the polka dot cake!
-
Just waiting for someone to join me... It's really nice here today.

Happy Mother's Day, Beachies! Samsue, I'm right with you. (I have that very same red chair I take to the beach.) I brought some goodies! Hope you're hungry.
Thank you, 3Jays! That's very sweet of you. He is my sunshine, and am so grateful that he is doing well here.

Howdy Beachettes. What's wrong with me ... cleaning on Mother's Day!!! Last weekend with the girls in NY was our Mother's Day celebration, and having work begin on the house this week so today really was only day that made sense to clean at least upstairs. I'm done now - whether I wanted to be or not - the body said "enough"!!!! So now I'll take my Kindle outside and read on the front porch - it's a lovely day here. Sitting at a beach would be better, no question, but I can dream
In my mind, this is where I am - that's our bay beach and that's hub ..... hugs girls.

Happy Mother's Day, Indeed!!!
These are from our brief beach afternoon in Italy.
I know that Mother's Day means something different to each and every one of us. Some fortunate to be mothers. Others fortunate to have had amazing mothers in our own childhood. Some here who miss their own mother's with deepest heart-ache. Others whose own mothering left something to be desired. Still others who mother others children. Some who mother fur-babies. Some whose own children present challenges -- be they young or older.
Is there a such thing as Sister's Day? Surely someone should contact Halmark as they are missing a real opportunity. We are all Sisters here. Whatever the unique bonds to our own mothers, we have a family of sisters here at BCO and at the beach in particular.
As we built these rock cairns in the sunshine -- across the world from homebase, we stacked each rock with a prayer of concern and care, a wish of joy and health and ease for each of our extended family. Know that even as I galivant here and there and seem to have less connection thru this screen -- you each hold a very real and genuine place in my heart.
May this day bring you warmth.
May this day bring you support.
May this day bring you delight.
