P.S. Thanks

Hey Beachies.
What wild times for me. Too much to attempt to describe in time available.
We leave at dawn for Denver...... and then on up to the mountains, with our Denver peeps.
Everyone have a great weekend. Don't know how 'connected' we will be?????
I'll just pray for everyone, the ol' fashioned way.

Well this is the most 'scrambled' and dis-jointed travel adventure we've ever undertaken.
The whole point of this trip was to go to KC, for me to speak tomorrow. Since we were that far west, we tacked on a hop over to Denver to hug us up some grand'uns.
Yesterday I learned that the agency sponsoring my presentation lost it's funding late in the summer and now ceases to exist. Seriously. So late yesterday we were scrambling around attempting to divert those flights.
We thought we'd come up with a new plan, not to spend two night's in KC, but just have a layover there. HAHAHAHAHA
Delta called before dawn to tell us that they'd cancelled our early morning flight. Which would have then gotten us too late to KC to get the new leg of the trip to Denver.
Are you following this craziness.
Turns out that we will now (in theory) leave here at noon and with a quick hop in Chicago & then go on to Denver, just waving at KC as we fly over.
I may be getting too old for all of this: LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
So as a result, I can shove off with a flash-back picture from Aruba from our amazing get-away there a year ago, or it is two?? More laughing as I have no idea.
Who wants to come sit & get caught up with a nice little chat? Remember your sunscreen:
Wow. I was there in real life. Honestly. All we need is some umbrella drinks: It's FRIDAY!!!!!
-
I'm on my way. Would you like my to bring something refreshing to sip on?
-
It's early, how about a mimosa?
-
Mimosa, pretty please!
-
Good morning Beachies!!! Hope all of you have a wondermous Friday and a great weekend!!!
Safe travels Faithie!!!!!
((((((((((((((((((big hugs to all))))))))))))))))
-
There is a whole bottle of champagne from the mimosas, join us!

Yesterday I was at the lab to have blood work done and a urine test. I couldn't go on command so they gave me some water and sent me out to walk around. I saw these very cool wood storks. They are endangered so seeing 6-7 of them in opne place was awesome.
-
They are beatiful birds Barb, the photos not bad either....lol
-
Thanks, Chrissy. The clouds in your pic are really interesting. Was it end or beginning of day?
-
At the end of the day Barb and the weather was starting to change. There was a front moving in.
-
Hi everyone, what great pictures as always, been very busy this summer with work and canning. The garden has been great and keeps us very busy. Almost done as I only have 12 jars left!! Heading to Albuquerque next month so will get some pictures to post.
-
Just found this thread and love the pictures. For me life really is a beach. Our town is located on a five mile long and mile wide sand spit with the pacific ocean to the west and the bay of Grays Harbor on the East. Our home is in the middle with a canal in the front yard. Peaceful and lovely.
-
Barbara , I just love those birds..wish I could have seen them also..the only storks I have ever seen were in Spain..when we lived there we would go to Avila, just to see them and their nests on the walls of the city there...
chabba, you certainly live in beautiful country...am looking forward to seeing some of your pix to let us know it a little better..
I took this last year up in Montana...
-
What a fabulous butterfly & on my favorite of all flowers too! Nice Lisa, thank you!
-
It's not a beach, but it's my new grandson Zach. Here we are late at night the day he was born on Sept 9th. A long stressful day of waiting, but I am now a GiGi!!
-
