Oh Chrissy. How have we managed up until now without you????
So glad that you have mastered sharing your vantage point with us.
Wait till ya get to know everyone here beachside!!
We have quite a few photographers & honorary Mr. Mum who does breath-taking work beyond anything I've seen else-where when it comes to feathers-on-the-move.
Mar. So glad that you've continued to tinker with the photo-sharing. What a joy to have your east coast vantage point represented regularly.
Beachies. This is a BIG week for me. I have a 'new' publishing project for an educational publishing house that has some deadlines (they are using my music in a new project of movement ideas for children... professional dancer writing hundreds of ideas to use to my previously recorded pieces -- how cool is that?? It is to be released early 2011.)
Gotta get ready to depart Wed before dawn for Texas. I get to give the keynote on Thurs for a conference in Austin!!! Did ya hear my whoop, whooop??
In the midst of this other excitement, I am working-like-a-dog to wrap up the final illustration for my next picture book: fire trucks(!) and then as soon as that is complete there about a thousand details to get the book organized & orchestrated before the printing . I have given myself the deadline of the end of Aug. YIKES.
So send me your good vibes, but don't be concerned if I'm not here as regularly as usual... at least for the next 6 weeks or so.
Splash on on beachie kids. Splash on!!!!

Hi all, instead of going to the beach today, I watched the Baseball Hall of Fame inductions
in Cooperstown, NY..My grandmother lived there when she was alive and I spent my summers there with
her..I just loved it..and I would go to the inductions every summer..now they have become huge with ESPN coverage. The best part is the nine mile lake there where we had our summer home...

this isn't exactly a beach shot, but it's the view from out front of my trailer at Hideaway Beach Campground, looking down the road toward the bay - went out to dump trash tonight and caught the sunset ... grabbed camera real quick
-
not exactly a beach shot, but this is the view i had when taking out the trash tonight at my home away from home at Hideaway Beach Campground where we have our summer home. The sunset is over the bay and we often go down to watch, but occasionally we just get shots like this

Your hubby is the best, muma
I just love his work...wow

Found this beauty ... this was in Tampa last November when many chatters gathered for Choca's birthday (same time as I took the pic of Harry the Herron on preceding page!!) This was the first night we were there and went over to the Gulf side to watch the sunset. Don't know the people in this picture, but you can see them waving goodbye to the sun with their child. One of those lucky things to get in my viewfinder unintentionally!

HI Beachettes,
The pics are amazing. Chrissyb welcome to the beach. Coonie, Marlegal, Llisa,Mum and Chrissyb you are all so amazing at taking pics and posting. It is always a pleasure to come to this thread and be wlcomed by all the wonderful pics. Sorry I missed the party. I was visiting my SD in Providence, RI. We ate lunch at a restaraunt by the beach on Sunday and it was great relaxing and watching people swim and play in the water.
Faith, I understand why you decided not to have recontruction, I am sorry you are going through the aspirations. I hope you heal soon. You amaze me with you strength and energy. How is the fire truck pictures going for the book?
Have a peaceful night and a wonderful sun rise to all. (((((Hugs)))))

Thought I'd show you a little Aussie bushland

-
Chrissy where in Australia are you located?
-
Hi mumayan, I live in South Australia. A lot of the photos that I have posted were taken taken on Kangaroo Island which is a 45 min ferry ride from the mainland.
-
Uh oh, I sense a trip coming up for Mum and Tiny Fishy!!!!!
-
I am dying to go there now I have to look up all the bird info and locations and which months are the best for travel.
-
I'm pretty sure he'll find it "bird worthy"....
-
mumayam, if you come please let me know, I would love to meet you.
-
I haven't sprung any of this on my husband yet.The only complaint he will probably have is length of the flight. But yes Chrissy if we go I will let you know with a PM.Thanks
-
MUM!! What a great new avatar/profile pic. I seriously LOVE it! Tee hee. It's you & yet you're completely incognito. Fun.
My dear, sweet, kind husband has just gotten our act together for the road show, ahead of time & the car is all packed for the crazy departure. We need to leave our place at 4:00 A.M. to get to the airport for our early morning flight. Yup. The life of a diva. LOL. It's all glorious.
He's got one suitcase weighing 50.0 pounds on our scale & the other totals 49.6 -- so I hope that the scale is accurate, or we're in for some challenges.
Cheryl, so glad to see you back in relatively short order. Thanks for asking about my firetrucks. I really made actual, visible progress thru the day yesterday & previously. It's coming together. The book designer sent us the first 'proof' of the entire project earlier today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Progress!!!! It's amazing. I've been working on this for years. Seriously years. Still have quite a bit to attend to, but seeing it for the first time (even if it's on a computer screen) is a thrill!
ChrissyB keep the pictures coming. What may seem like 'everyday' to you, transports the rest of us to a whole new universe.

All the rest of you beachers, keep splashing happily shoreside. It's good exercise..... even just to imagine.

I walk alone on the beach at times...so does my friend

Love it Lisa!
