LIFE'S A BEACH!

Faith -- any news on your back? Here's hoping you were able to get some relief.
-
Sahalie -- did you have a great day? I hope you did.
Spar -- don't forget BB10 tonight.
-
Hi guys, I'm back also!
Wings, were you in VA???? That's what I heard, and so was I. We did the Skyline Dr.and Blue Ridge Parkway on the bike. Also saw Natural Bridge and Grand Caverns. We towed our bike down and camped in Staunton, VA. How beautiful was that????
-
That's great Jan! Welcome back. Sounds like the mountains were the place to be this summer.
-
just a quick pop in to welcome our biker babes back to the beach..... so happy to hear the happy in your posts........
met with my doctor and he's quite certain that it is nothing structural (my back) no disc issues, no spinal involvement.........
he's feeling comfortable calling in a musculature related mishap -- well maybe that's my take
anyhow, he's prescribed exercises: stretching etc etc
says it's then gonna be time for AB work -- to strengthen the core
where have i heard that before
he says i'll have to take my bicycle riding very slow, we leave in about 10 days or so -- for the great north: arts, pines, motorcycle, lakes etc etc (do i hear a theme)
hugs to all -- so glad that our babes have returned!!

Faith, I'm so glad to hear that is not a slipped disc or something like that. Hopefully the pulled muscle will heal quickly for you. Did they give you anything to take in the meantime? No fair, everyone is getting to go on vacation but me. <pouting>
-
Hi beach goers,, I did my thing and now I am too tired for anything
but I saw this photo of the beach where I had a beach apt back right after I
graduated from college and was having the time of my life...
-
Faith, are you going on a motocycle trip also? Are you camping? I want to hear all about it.
Other biker beachfriends, do you have any pictures to share?
Sahalie, where are you, am missing your touch of happiness. Am going to try to find some beach baubles
Here is some pretty's
-
Well, it is 2am and I can't sleep. My mind will not be quiet though my body is tired. Hope everyone else is having a sleeping night. Going to try again.
-
Good morning Beach Angels. Happy happy Wednesday! Rise and shine!
I'm so happy to see our vacations Biker and Wings back. Now comes the massive amounts of laundry and mail that has piled up while you were gone.
Spa -- I'm so sorry you had trouble sleeping last night. This is the time that the live feeds for BB or the BB After Dark would come in handy. You and your family are so creative that it amazes me all the things you have made. You should consider opening a gift shop.
Has anyone seen our beautiful and oh so poetic Sahalie???? Where did you go?
Faith -- how is your back this morning? Hopefully a good nights rest has helped to heal the muscle strain. I know how miserable those can be.
FPAngel -- how are things with you? Are you staying cool? Its hot as hades here and yesterday when it rained, the roads actually sent up steam. I wish I had taken a picture.
Shrink -- how are you doing? Getting used to being Mrs.?
-
Can you believe being fortunate to be able to see the stingray migration. Goodmorning beach friends, hope all have a good day.
Here is my new hummingbird to hang on the porch.
Jaz, I love that song
-
Greetings from sleeping beauty. They prescribed a muscle relaxant for my back. Finally got it from pharacy last night @ 10:00 -- I JUST woke up, a mere 12 hours later. LOLOLOL...... Spar unable to sleep and me silent to the world.
I'd never taken something like that (obviously) and it amazed my healing body.
This is gonna be a slow moving train to getting better, but solid sleep will help, I'm sure.
Don't trust myself to drive, even yet. If I let me I know I could go right back to sleep.
Craziness for sure. Must go do my stretching exercises.
HUGS all around.

Surf's Up!!
-
Oh Wise & Wonderful Beachie Keens.
Life took the short turn to more out of towners.
It's also County Fair time.
I still have to back up here on the beach and see what's happy.
I did see Spar's shell lady art piece. Beeutiful!
Faith. I sure hope your back gets better soon.
Jaz. I still have to check out Big Brother. I'm hooked on Flipping Out at the moment.
It's a riot plus I love the contemporary designs Jeff Lewis creates.
He is a kick in the bermuda shorts.

Shells and Laters.

Ah ha! There you are! Glad you are enjoying some time at the farm. Check your carrier pidgeon express today. Is that barn on your farm or just a pic you found online. That would look good in an oil painting.
-
Will do Jazz.
Ok will check the express.
-
Good afternoon everyone. Been a busy day taking gs to ortho but gd wanted to go too. By the time he got out they were starving so had to take them to long john silvers (evidently McDonalds is out now) Then they wanted to go to hobby lobby to get something to make for their mom this coming weekend since they are staying with me for the weekend.
Am looking forward to big brother tonight. By the way I didn't make the Shell girl, just a pic on line I got a kick out of. I am fixing to start working on a clay flower pot, attaching colored glass, marbles and anyother thing that catches my fansy. I'll post a pic when I'm done with it.
I would love to just relax on the beach today and surf with Lisa, first have to find a surf board, I wonder if I could borrow Duke's. LOL
-
I need a cool breeze and feel the sand on my feet.
Anyone want to join me for some juicy grapes?
My treat.
-
Hey Spar. Sounds like you had a very busy day. I'm looking forward to BB tonight as well. I'm finally getting interested in the different characters. I could spend hours in Hobby Lobby.
Hi to Lisa and Faith.
Spar -- check your local carrier pidgeon soon please.
-
Yes, I would love to join you Sahalie. Those grapes look delicious and so healthy too. We have some thunderstorms heading in, from that Dolly gal, so may be offline tonight.
-
Oh Sahalie, I want those grapes so bad, food is my weakness. I have to take my husband to the grocery store with me to protect me from myself but hey grapes are so good for you. I'll be there.
Hope we get some rain here from Dolly, it is so dry the ground is just cracking open. Later beach beauties
-
It's a hot one here today so taking a break.
Here is some fun for those who wish to participate.
It's a word association Wednesday Five.
Here goes....
1. Roof top:The best rooftops in the world are in San Francisco. Rooftops great for star gazing.
2. Gritty:
Sandy toes, sandy suits, sand in the hair, sand in everything found months later.
Beautiful white gritty sand. A treasure.
3. Hot town:
East coast towns with humity.
4. Night:
Falling asleep in a hammock on the beach between two palm trees until it's
dark and the stars awaken me.
Listening to total quiet. Listening to the wave of the waves. Birds singing.
Getting up on my big bed on fresh cool sheets and feeling total relaxation before
drifting into slumberland.
5. Dance:
Barefoot on the beach. To music. To my own beat.
Now it's your turn.
-
I'm thinking of our Beach Babes in the line of Dolly.
I have the weather channel on at the moment and it's looking pretty windy and rainy
on the Texas gulf and all up around New England.
I hope you all are Safe. Warm. Have plenty of supplies. Family secured and safe.
I Agree about the grapes. Yummy and cool. Strawberries too. Big fat ones in my fridge.
Fruit salad for dinner for me.
Jaz. I replied by our pigeon. Did it work? I need to check on it my own self.
I read back and can't believe all the motorcycle trips beach babes have been on or are
about to take.
: )

Just got home from lunch..long lunch...on the bay..talked and talked..
watched the boats
-
Hello Everyone:
I'm enjoying your photos and music. I'm married one week now. Since my dh and I were living together for a year and a half, it doesn't feel very different but there's a sense of serenity which seems to have come to both of us, kind of like the peace I feel when watching the waves on the beach. I think we were due for a "good thing" given the hurricane of emotions which were so much a part of the turmoil of the past year. Sail on Beachies. May the waters be calm and the skies clear for all of us.
-
1. Roof top:
No spectacular roofs here. But it does remind me of that song 'Up on the Roof.'
2. Gritty:
Sand Sand and more sand. Did I say sand yet?
*
3. Hot town:Hot town??? Try hot state! Its going to be 100 tomorrow.
4. Night:Crickets and lightning bugs. When we were young we would chase the lighting bugs all over the yard. It was like being in a fairy tale with their little behinds sparkling all over the place. The sound of the tree frogs.
*
5. Dance:
I don't dance but it reminds me of the song "I Hope you Dance.
-
Sahalie, your pidgeon made it safe and sound. We're not in the path of Dolly but we will be getting some residual effects from it. But that's a good thing as we are hot and dry right now. I would love to sneak into your carryon in October. I'll start my diet first thing tomorrow...again...so I can fit without going over the weight limit.
Shrink -- that serenity is more priceless than rubies. You sound so happy and you sure do deserve it. May God bless you both.
Lisa -- love the picture of the boats.
Spar -- what do you think of the new HOH? Who do you think they will put up this week?
Faith -- how are you doing? I hope you are resting.
-
1. Roof top:
I love the roof tops and skyline of Sante Fe, New Mexico. There is just something about it. Also Tin roofs which I grew up with. Love the sound of rain on a tin roof
*
2. Gritty:
gritty reminds me of that rough stuff you put on your face, like apricot scub. Also stepping out of the shower to sand on the bathroom floor.
*
3. Hot town:Shreveport is a hot town to visit in more ways that one. Weather is hot and casinos are hot
*
4. Night:Crawling into my bed with clean high count cotton sheets and the air conditioner on high
Sitting on the porch at night watching a thunder/lightening storm
*
5. Dance:
I love to dance, when I clean house I blast the music and dance through the whole thing. Even in the car I can't keep from bobbing my head to the music. Even in church I can't be still when the music is going. Sometimes me and my husband just slow dance in the living room.
