Morning Prayer

Lord, thank You for a beautiful morning,
The hope and promise of a beautiful day.
Grant me the strength to fulfill that promise.
Help me to be kind, thoughtful and generous
And to think of others before myself.
And help me to do something good this day.
Protect those I love and all Your people,
And keep the world in peace till evening.
He Heals Today
God knows how long the road is
When hearts are filled with sorrow;
Each day the hours pass slowly;
It's hard to face the morrow.
He knows the strain of weariness;
The heartache that lies ahead,
And in our darkest hours
Sees the many tears we shed.
At times like this, remember
The suffering He Himself has known;
He understands our loneliness,
For He, too, has walked alone.
Come, find rest in His loving arms,
Ask Him to ease your pain,
He heals today, as He always did,
And will grant you peace again .

A prayer for those with cancer
Bless, O God,
all who struggle with cancer.
Empower them with hope
for each and every day.
Provide them with loving
and tender care, laughter,
and the support of love.
Grant them
courage when they are afraid,
comfort when they are in pain,
and your blessing
when all else seems hopeless,
that in their fight with illness
they may continue to praise you
and glorify your name.
Amen.
Today I lifted up your name
Before the Lord in prayer.
I asked Him to supply your needs,
And keep you in His care.
I pled with Him to make you well,
And take away your pain;
To chase away your sorrows,
As the sunshine chases rain.
Because I know He holds you in
The hollow of His hand,
I prayed that you would know His peace,
And have the strength to stand.
If you should be discouraged,
and feel moored in deep dispair,
Please know I dearly love you
and remember you in prayer..

Welcome back, we sure did miss you....MJ you are very welcome for the help...
I am at my fathers house using his computer, we have been without power since Monday afternoon...Yesterday, phone was out and my water too..They came back on this morning but I still don't have power and it is HOT outside, so I came to my dad's house to spend the afternoon...
Just please keep everyone in Mississippi,Lousiana, and Alabama in your prayers...There is so many people that needs your prayers...I am so thankful that I have my parents house I can come too..There is alot of people that have no where to go and have to go to shelters...

O gracious God, we will never understand the sorrows of the world, but by your grace we will not turn away from them. Renew and sustain in us the spirit of love that crosses miles.
