Hi Darlins,
It is almost Spring! I'm open any weekend. Pick a date that works best for everyone else and I'll be there.

April 23rd works for me!
Hugs, Michele -
Hi to All,
My name is Fran and I am also from MI. I was dx 9/03 with left breast invasive ductal carcinoma, 3 of 15 nodes pos. I have had mast and 8 chemo treatments. I am on Tamoxifen and will start reconstruction on the 13th of this month. Wow, sounds like a resume! lol
I live in the thumb, close to Port Huron. Am so excited to see so many MI. fighters here!! Please include me as one.
Always, Fran -
Hi Ladies--I know that at our last luncheon we had discussed getting together for lunch again at the Olive Garden in Novi on 4/23/05. Does this sound reasonable? We really enjoyed the section of the restaurant where we were seated.
Hugs, MIchele -
Sounds good to me.
Gerri -
Hi All:
April 23rd and the Olive Garden in Novi - both work for me as well.
Thanks,
Pat -
Have a great time!
Catherine -
Hi all:
April 23 is good for me at the Olive Garden. I haven't been on the Boards for awhile. Welcome to the new sisters. Looking forward to seeing you all.
Pam W -
Hi guys. As long as I don't get scheduled to work, I will be there! I started a new job at the Livonia Holiday Inn doing banquets. It's fun, I like it.
Hope you are all doing well, hope to see you next weekend!
Hugs
Judy -
I really want to be there, but if all goes as scheduled, it will be the day after my 3rd taxol, so I don't know how I'll be feeling. Taxol has been awful for me. I missed 3 days of work this week because of a viral infection & still have no energy & don't feel any better. I know this too shall pass, but right now I feel like a squeezed out sponge.
Ann -
It's a date:
Novi Olive Garden
April 23rd
12:30 p.m. (is that a good time?)
The address is 43300 Crescent Blvd Novi, MI.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting some of the new people also. Should I post a reminder on the other topics? -
Yes, please post on the other forums.
See you Saturday!
Michele -
Hi All (and new members)
I will not be able to make it on Saturday-I am still recovering from surgery last week and just not up to snuff.
Hope everyone has a great time-sorry to have missed meeting YOU again Judy :-(
Lorie -
I don't think I can make this one but, how often do you meet? Where else do I find this information for future get togethers! Have a great time girls!!
-
Have a great time ladies!
Catherine -
Love you all and so wish I could come. I need big wishes that our son gets on this hockey team he is trying out. They seem to be in Michigan every other weekend during the season. I was and am so glad I went to your get together when I did. You all are an inspiration and really helped me get through that dreaded chemo stuff. Keep you fingers posed or crossed that our son does his best and gets picked cause it would give me great reason to come and join you all more often and just try to give some of all the things that really really helped back to you. Have a great time Saturday and will be thinking about you!
-
I'm so sad that I won't be able to make it.....having a party for my son's 15th b-day.....I will be thinking of you guys....I'm looking forward to the next one though.....have fun and laugh alot.....
Hugs....
Candi -
Hi all:
I plan on being there on Saturday. However, I want to share my good news, ahead of time. Had my six month mammogram after the radiation and my yearly one in the other breast and all is well. I was apprehensive about the yearly one in the unaffected breast, afraid the C would surface there. So, after calling my husband, I went shopping!! Just had to tell the sales lady about it and encouraged her to get her yearly mammogram, which she does! I was bursting at the seams with glee!!!
PamW -
Great Pam, even more to celebrate on Saturday.
See you there.
Gerri -
Pam, that's great news! Hope you bought something really special
Jon, I'll keep my fingers crossed for your son; I'm sure he'll make it, though! It would be nice to see you here in Michigan again.
Toula: we meet every few months. Just keep checking this thread, MI Survivors, for any info pertaining to us gals here in Michigan!
Lorie, I hope you recover quickly from surgery. Maybe we'll meet at the next one
Candi, have fun with your son's birthday party! I also have a 15 year old, fun times, eh!
Maybe in the summer we should plan some sort of meeting outdoors, that would be fun.
Hugs to all of you. It looks like I'm not working this weekend, so I will see you all on Saturday.
Judy -
Pam:
What wonderful news!! SIGH!!!! These tests sure do a number on the nerves don't they?? More celebration on Saturday!!!!
Pat -
Pam wonderful news! Im ready to celebrate with you tomorrow.
Jon Would be great to see you again. Crossing fingers for you son.
Catherine Still time to hop in your car and join us! Hope things are well with you.
Toula Just keep following this thread. We have been meeting every few months and have great time.
Candi We will have to meet you some time! Hope it is the next one.
LorieAnne Speedy recovery wishes your way!
Ann if you are done feeling like a squeezed out sponge (sigh I know that feeling), come and join us. Just think, you are almost done!
Those joining us tomorrow: Looking forward to getting together again. I just sent some private messages to some of the women who expressed an interest in meeting but havent checked in for a while.
I think we have 6 of us confirmed. If I get more responses tonight, Ill call ahead tomorrow so we can try to get our room at the Olive Garden. See you soon!

Nancy -
Connisue and I will be there as well. That is...if we don't get snowed in!!! We are still waiting to hear from Barb. Looking forward to seeing you all!
-
I'm new to the board. My name is JoAnne, Dx July 04 at the age of 50 with a small stage 1 (2 mm) invasive cancer. I live in Canton MI. Would like to connect with other MI gals because I know no one with BC. I had two lumpectomys, finished radiation and have been on Tamoxifen since with no real side effects besides the hot flashes. I still cannot get over the fact that I had cancer - blows me away.
-
Hi:
JoAnne: Welcome! Yeah, I (and all the others on the boards, I am sure) know the feeling of being blown away!! It's like a comet coming out of the blue and striking you! When I sit and mull over it, I get overwhelmed. I try to play it down but there is no denying that I had it.
Come join us this Saturday, if you are able. We'll be in your back yard, practically. We will be meeting at the Olive Garden at 12:30 PM in Novi, near Twelve Oaks.
All others:
Thanks for the good wishes. Looking forward to seeing you all.
Judy: I brought myself a silk scarf, full price, which I rarely do!!!
Pam W -
Nancy and all the other Michigan ladies have a great time tomorrow
-
Thanks Kats. You and Catherine really should hop in a car and join us. If insomnia hits tonight, there is still time!
Did you read "No Longer Hairless's' post? She is an inspiration. It is so nice to hear she is doing great. I haven't had time to reply to most posts but still try to catch up with reading how everyone is doing.
JNo - We can sure relate to the feeling. I was 49 and didn't know of any family history. I had lumps for years and kept up my mammograms and ultrasounds. Since they were always benign, getting the "news" was like getting hit with a ton of bricks it was so unexpected.
Looks like we have 8 or 9 for tomorrow? I'm looking forward to it. -
Sorry girls I can't make it tomorrow. Sniff sniff . It is my daughters birthday. Let me know when the next one is. Have a great time and I will be thinking of you all.
-
Hi Joanne
I grew up in Canton, my parents still live there. You should join us tomorrow. We would love to meet you. The women in our group are so nice!
Well, so far work has not called me in for tomorrow, so I may still be able to make it!!! Actually, they did call tonite, but I ignored the call But I have a horrible headache, and didn't want to go in to work tonite.
Hugs to you all
Judy -
In my best Homer Simpson voice: "DOH!!!" I COMPLETELY forgot about lunch today. We'd taken my DS for an oral surgery consult & then out to breakfast. JUST NOW that little lightbulb in my head popped on. Crap.
I had it in my Palm, I talked about it last night & then *POOF* right outta my head. I am sure a good time was had by all! Oh well, next time.
Hugs, Michele
