It looks like I can't come to the luncheon after all. Feb. 19 is the day of the state Democratic Convention & I am a precinct delegate & both should & want to be there. PLEASE let me know if you change the date or when you plan the next luncheon. I'm really disappointed not to be able to make it.
Ann -
I won't be able to make the luncheon as I will be out of town. Was looking forward to seeing everyone again...but I am sure there will be another time. Hope everyone is doing well! Lorrie (Lorraine from Shelby)
-
Hey All...
ARE we still getting together on the 19th? I see some have posted they will not make it...so, someone post and let me know!
Lorie (From Canton) -
LorieAnne:
I'm not positive but I have it on my calendar so I hope we're still meeting. You're right, we need to have others check in to be sure we are still on . . .
Pat -
I'm planning on it. Do you think we should move it to March to get more people?
-
Hi. I am starting treatments in a couple weeks at Beaumont. The dense dose, every 2 weeks. Anyone else have or doing same? Would love to hear from you. Have some questions. Please email at Shariwest@aol.com
Thank you!
Shari -
I'm still planning on meeting Saturday 2/19 at the Olive Garden in Novi. I'll be watching to see if that is the plan or did I get it wrong? Wouldn't be the first time.
-
Hi:-)
Ok..I am in for the 19th...and what time should we all meet at OG? It will take me about 20 minutes (assuming we do not have a blizzard!) to get there.
Does 12:30 work for everyone? By the way, has anyone had the dreaded flu bug yet? Everyone I know seems to be sick with something-ugh.
I'm really looking forward to meeting all of you:-)
Lorie -
Ok - Count me in for the 19th. 12:30 sounds fine to me. I'll post on the other topics if 12:30 is good for everyone.
Shari - Come join us. I didn't have dose dense but I'm sure you will run into someone who has. We will get you through this!
Lorie - I didn't have the flu but I did have a cold from hell. It just dragged on and on! It is finally gone though. Seems like everyone at work has something. It will be nice to finally meet you.
Lorrie - we will miss you! I'm sure we will do this again soon.
Ann - I'm glad you are still involved in the things you love. I worried about you but knew you had the strength to get through this! I look forward to seeing you at the next gathering.
Nancy -
Hi all:
It has been awhile since I posted. I have the 19th on my calendar. 12:30 PM is fine with me. Where is this Olive Garden?
Pam -
Hi Pam,
This is what I posted on one of the other topics. I'll post some more today.
We had such a good time at the last two gatherings, the Michigan ladies are getting together again! Come join us at the Novi Olive Garden on February 19th at 12:30 p.m.
The address is 43300 Crescent Blvd Novi, MI.
Here is a map:

Sphynx:
Thanks for the information. I must have missed it somehow before. It looks really easy to find and near one of my favorite shopping malls. I will be there.
Pam -
I've given up on the Dem. convention. I'm too tired. I was planning on coming Saturday, but now my daughter who lives with me is very ill with stomach problems of unknown origin. Her father (my ex) decided he will come help clean her room (I know ridiculous for a 24-year-old, but she's ADD to the max), and I have to take help when I can get it. If I were to go out while he's here doing something, he'd really be upset with me. Let me know when the next luncheon is.
Ann -
Hi Girls,
Just popping in...should we reschedule this luncheon? I think at last count there are only 5 of us? I'm not sure where the other gals are here..but, maybe this is not an opportune time.
I will be happy to still meet everyone this Saturday, assuming you all want to still go! Nancy, thanks for all your posts on this meeting.
My email is lab@aeromedia.biz; I grab that more frequently than the checking on here.
Thanks!
Lorie -
Hi All:
Maybe what we should do is take a 'final count,' for this Saturday. The only problem I see with rescheduling is that something always seems to come up anyway - and maybe the next time it would be for the gals who are able to make it this time. Just a thought . . . At any rate, I was planning on coming Saturday - so count me as #1. Obviously if we don't have enough (?? not sure what that number is) then maybe we should reschedule. Why doesn't everyone who is planning to come just post that they are planning to come and then we can go from there. Sond like a plan?
Thanks,
Pat -
I'll be there on the 19th! i have been AWOL.
hugs, Michele -
Hi everyone. I've been so busy lately...I should be able to make it Saturday...daughter has coming home dance that night, but it should work ok.
Got a new computer, been working on that...so haven't been on the boards lately.
2/19 at 12:30 sounds fine
See you then
Hugs
Judy -
I'm planning on being there too.
See you all on Saturday, Olive Garden in Novi at 12:30 pm. -
Count me in also. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
Nancy -
Hi all:
As I said earlier this week, I will be there. It doesn't matter if there are five, fifteen or fifty. What is important is that we make it when we can, so we can support each other and to celebrate being able to dine together.
"Each day is a gift, that's why they call it the 'present'!!"
Pam -
Hello...I will plan on being there as well. I am still trying to get in touch with Conniesue...so I will get back with you on that. But I have another friend (survivior) who I will be bringing.
Chris -
Sphynx and All:
Just wanted you to know that I noticed that two gals had replied to your posting under the Moving Beyond Cancer/Anyone Near Michigan . . . thread. It was Molly and Oneita and their concern was finding us once inside of the restaurant. I responded that we would definitely find them and I told her I would bring and wear my breastcancer.org tee shirt over my clothes - at least until we were all together. I told them that perhaps some of the other ladies would do the same so they would be sure to find us!! LOL (We can always take them off later, right)?? I just wanted to pass this along to you all. It looks there might be 8-10 of us so it should be fun.
See everyone tomorrow,
Pat -
WooHoo....
Looks like a nice gathering! Side note.....I do not have a T-shirt....so, I'll try to recognize those of you from the pics:-)
I'm ready for a drink...conversation..and looking forward to making some sisterhood connections!
See you tommorow at/around 12:30!
Lorie -
I will be coming top the lunch today and bringing two friends...Conniesue and Barb. Looking forward to seeing you all.
-
Hi Guys:
Just wanted to say what a great time I had again today. It was so nice to see 'old' friends and meet the new ones as well. You are really all a credit to womankind and I'm very happy and honored to call you friends!!!!
God bless,
Pat -
I second that! Great food, great conversation... a really nice "ladie's afternoon out!"
Hugs, Michele -
Yes it was a very nice time with my new friends. So nice to share stories and many laughs. Hope to do it again.
-
Thanks to all of you wonderful Michigan (and near Michigan) sisters I met at the Olive Garden. Hearing your stories was inspiring and it was great to put faces and personalities with the names i have seen so often. Yes, let's do it again before too long.
Molly -
I had a wonderful time. So nice to meet the new women... LorieAnne, Molly, Oneita and Barb.
To all of you, you are the best! Nice idea LorieAnne - to go around the table with the introductions and stories. I knew we had similar circumstances from reading posts but our stories are so similar it is scary. Oneita - I forgot to mention that I was in the 5% group with invasive mucinous. Guess we won the lotto on rare cancers.
I posted the pictures but have to say that I'm the worst photographer! Geri, we can at least see what a nice head of hair you have grown since we last saw you! Pam - shoot, I only got the back of you head also! What was I thinking? I should have looked at the pics while I was there to see how bad they were.
Well - there is always next time. Pam suggested April 23rd, same time, same place???? Good for me.
p.s. (Judy Judy Judy - we kept looking for you! Hope you were caught up in your daughter's festivities.)
Michigan 2-19-2005 -
What a great time I had yesterday meeting all those I hadn't met at the first lunch and seeing those I had. It was nice to check in again and put faces on the posters.
Looking forward to the next one!
Take care.
