Hello all---I started to post the other night and guess i never hit the submit button---anyway----not sure how the head count is coming---I can do Nov 22nd but if we don't have many--I was thinking about pushing it to Dec 6th---mid holidays--and maybe we could do a gift exchange (small--$5) if we all want and prob will not be able to do Dec...what say you all?
s
ps---the dessert was not technically -FREE----but they did give us a beautiful fruit platter which I think my Company sprang for....
-
I can make the 22nd, but not 12/5. For some idiot reason, I'm going to NYC in the middle of winter. Well the idiot reason is that the fares were cheap ...
Lisa - great news on the scans. My own great news is that I had my mammo & all is clear - the radiologist graduated me to an annual appointment from every 6 months.
Cammy - we will all get to meet you at some point - good luck with the surgery.
-
Susan - I haven't got any results from my MRI or PET/CT yet. But I'm glad to hear you already have graduated to annual exams. GREAT news! The Christmas season in NYC is beautiful! I suggest you do not scrimp on cab fare, a warm cab for even half a dozen blocks is preferable to getting your uhm, nose frozen off!
I am not available on 12/5 but still am on for the 22nd!

Hi all..I am not sure if I can make the 22nd..there is a chance that my middle son may come home that weekend and we might do something as a family...is there someone who could pick up Lisa
if I can't make it??
-
K-back to Nov 22th---I'm #1 and if you want i can reserve Ki's?
S
-
I can do the 22nd - not the 5th as we'll be in Las Vegas watching my daughter run a half-marathon.
So I'll be #2. Is that the place that we went to in April when I first joined the group?
BTW, The terrible itchyness has gone away. It may have been due to the stitches that were sticking out. Dr. Jones pulled them out for me last week and for the most part, I seem to be doing okay.
-
I don't think so Brahna--I think that was Dini's in Carlsbad---this is Ki's on the 101 in Cardiff--lots further south---across the street from The Beach House...soo you can go north on the 5 and get off at Birmingham and turn soth and it is right there....
-
I can do either Nov. 22 or Dec. 6 (somehow that got changed to the 5th in some of the posts).
So, if it's the 22nd, count me as #3.
-
To Lisa SDCA - I saw Dr. Ressa this week for my pre-op appt and told him the word on the street was that he "rocked" He got quite a kick out of it and has a smirkish grin when I told him about your post. If you do see him, you will have to let him know that it was you who said it. Thanks for the input - I feel better knowing someone who has been in his care thinks he is great.
Enjoy your get together and maybe see you in Jan.
-
I'm #3.
-
I think you are #4!
-
Hi all, as I said before I may not make it this time and I cannot
Jeanne said if LisaSDCA can go, she would drive her..thanks Jeanne..
-
Sorry gals--i'm not going to be able to make it either---I had not made a reservation anywhere --so you are all free to pick a place that sounds good and is down your way!

I am still planning on making it! #5 perhaps? Let's try for a more central location, as Sylvia suggested. Susan, you seem to have a high restaurant density near your place. What say you?
Lisa
-
Hey gals, I am "IT" for another Charger game, dang it, so I will not be able to go. I will miss you all so much. Hugs, Shirl
-
Hey Ladies,
I've not been posting much lately, but I do keep up with reading the posts on my blackberry ;-)
I don't think I will make it this weekend either - looks like we have a family outing to Julian.
I love the idea of a December get together with a gift exchange.
Here's wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
hugs all around,
Lisa #3

Happy Thanksgiving to my dear SD sisters! See you in January! Linda

If you haven't listened to this NPR with Dr. Weiss, I suggest you do. However, when you get to the advertisements and also to that dreadful "test" noise, just hold mouse over double arrows for fast forward and hold down. This helps confirm everything we believe and know.

I agree with a more central place - it could be near me or one of those places off 15. Something that's easy to get to.
I will try to remember my camera for the shot since Liz won't be there.
-
How about a Greek restaurant. APOLLONIA GREEK BISTRO in Costa Verde Center on Genessee Rd.
-
sure - easy for me - what time?
-
I like GREEK. So, what do you say to noon?
I think this is a record for last-minute planning for our group of procrastinators!
Jeanne, I won't be needing that ride after all.
Lisa
-
noon is good. See you there
Brahna
-
Glad I logged on. Lisa are you sure??
Otherwise I will see you all at the Greek place (I think it used to be Aesop's Table??). Good Choice.
-
I drove myself to the hospital this noontime for my (three hour!) Aredia infusion and I made out fine. The combination of daylight, fair weather and a much anticipated gathering of friends will make the drive a cinch. I've missed my cute truck!
Lisa
-
The chicken rice lemon soup is really good there!! I'll miss you all, but will be enjoying my Julian apple pie instead ;-) I will for sure be there next month!!!!!!!
love to all,

It was a really intimate gathering today, just me and bonnid (Brahna). Jeanne46 called me this morning to say she felt less than healthy and thought it would not be a good idea to spread her contagion far and wide. We waited for Susan (guitar grl) and were a bit concerned that she might be in a bike accident, but we were hungry and ordered anyway.
We took advantage of the time to get truly acquainted with one another, as at larger gatherings we always seem to be seated at opposite ends of the table. Brahna - I genuinely am interested in the Black Chai loose tea you have available. PM me please?
We missed everyone who could not make it due to prior commitments. I look forward to the holiday 'party'. I wouldn't mind going to Appolonia's again 'cause y'all missed out (and it's centrally located and so on).
