I haven't had good luck with the Knifty Knitter. Maybe I need a crass. Oh no, I'm already crass. I need a class.

Love ya Susan!

Dear Madison and Vickie,
I just packed up the squares. I think you're both getting 15! Guess I knitted more than I thought. Anyhow, the box is kinda full so you'll have to "fluff" them up a bit to get back to the 7 inches.
Hugs,
Denise -
Denise, thank you, thank you.
The current afghan I am working on will probably be finished by Wednesday. I think I will have about 7 squares left, plus your squares...and I'll make a few more...
Hugs, Madison -
I have 5 squares ready to send. Can someone pm me on where to send them?
-
Well, if nobody wants these squares, please let me know so I won't waste anymore of my time. Thanks.
-
alwayshope...of course we want your squares. I was in bed at 8:30 last night and just saw your post. Your squares are as important as anyone elses
Hugs
Vickie

Thanks Vickie!

Morning all.
Gus I like your new avatar. I love seeing peoples pictures. I haven't figured out how to get mine on there yet! There all to big.
Anyway Vickie and Madison - I should have a box of squares for each of you in the mail today, 9 squares each. I need to buy some bigger boxes!
Madison - Thanks for the card.
Sue -
Alwayshope, I sent you a PM last night....yes, yes we want your squares..Thank you....Now I am worried that my PM did not get to your mailbox...so sorry....
Thank you Sue...I have enough squares to finish the one I am currently constructing....when the new squares come in, I will begin a new afghan. -
The pictures of the afghans are beautiful! We are quite a talented bunch of women! I have made some squares for the afghans in between other projects that I am working on. I have about 10 done now and I am working on some more. Vickie and/or Madison please send me your address so I can send them along to you.
Thanks,
Liz -
Liz, I sent you a PM with my address. I am sure Vickie will do the same.
Thank you for your help.
Madison -
Denise, I cannot believe you made 75 squares!!! How long does each one take? It takes me an hour to knit 1....I may be going about this all wrong.... Donna
-
75 squares? hot dog. I thought I was doing good with my 20. Denise which nifty knitter are you using. I only have the round ones. Can I make the squares on one. Can you give me directions?
-
I bought the straight nifty knitter but haven't tried it yet. I will play with it this weekend. I used the afgan stitch (or Tunisian crochet) for the squares I did this weekend and it took all weekend to make the 5. The knifty thing may go faster.
-
75 squares, but not all in one sitting!! Maybe that's why my Butt has gotten so BIG. I'm sitting on it knitting all the time!!!!(that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)
Shirley: I use the straight loom for my squares. I know you can do it with the circle, but I didn't like it. With the straight loom, I use the pinkish color one and using 2 strands of yarn I zig zag across the loom...much nicer finish, I think.(Vickie/Madison, what do you think?) That way both sides are finished and they don't stretch as much. I've got a book that shows the stitch, if you want I can scan it and send it to you. PM me your email.
They are getting to know me at the post office! Today the lady said, "which do you have? the $4.80 or the $5.15!" I said "Both!" Never been known as a postage price before!!
Hugs,
Denise -
I personally think all the squares are perfect. I haven't had a single one that I couldn't use. You girls are the very best.
Love and hugs
Vickie -
My daughter could only find the Knifty Knitter circle and I thought everyone says the squares are better. But she did go ahead and pick up more yarn in different colors that I have. My sister crochets everything and she's made 5 squares for me already and will do more. She's busy making a rose blanket otherwise she'd do more. If I can't find the square Knifty Knitter then I'm gonna just going to crochet these myself. Shoot I can do it.

I agree with Vickie, I have used every square that is mailed and what makes every afghan so special is that each is UNIQUE...there is not, nor will there be another afghan like it EVER made!!!
The current afghan I am working on is almost complete.... and shhhhh....I mailed an afghan to one of our bc sisters today!!!
You are the greatest!!!
Love, Madison -
Oh my GOSH! I am SO excited I almost can not type! I JUST GOT A BLANKET!!! I can not believe you little stinkers kept this a secret! I LOVE IT!!
I was having a truly awful day. I have this new weird pain in my auxiliary node dissection armpit and it has me poking myself so much that now it is really sore. I have my 3 month check up with my onc and my rad doc on Wednesday so I have been a bit wired.
So, Im at the post office and I have 22 envelopes with No surrender buttons to send out to sisters, I have a little box for Gina and I am dropping things all over the post office floor first I dropped and envelope and when I bend down to pick it up the box squirts out of my hand you get the picture .so I get to the desk and find out that I need to add 13 cents postage to the envelopes because even though they are light weight, they are not flat, so Im sticking on stamps and filling out a custom form for the pin that is going to Australia and I hand over my package slip. Im feeling hassled and Im late picking up my kids at the library .now you have to understand that this is a small town and there about 10 people in the post office and I know 4 of them. I get the box and see Vickies address and I started to squeal like crazy.
Everyone is asking what?? What? And Im saying Oh, they didnt, they couldnt have did they??? THEY DID!
Im crying and unpacking the blanket and everyone is getting out of line to come look. It was so cool. I was telling everyone about the circle girls, and showing them my buttons that are on my purse, and saying that all the things I was mailing were going to my fellow BC survivor sisters. Everyone was ohhhing and ahhhing over the blanket, all the ladies were crying right along with me. You even made the grumpy old guy that works at the post office get a bit misty eyed.
I have a grin on my face so big my cheeks hurt. So, I pick up my girls at the library, and I had to take it in and show my friends at the library, and I told the whole thing again, and everyone THERE starts to cry My girls got a hold of it and just couldnt believe how beautiful it is.
I know I am blathering on like a nut, but I can not tell you how cool it is to get this blanket. Every single square is beautiful and I can feel the love.
You guys are the best
Huge hugs and big old sloppy kisses!!!

Big hugs and wet sloppy kisses right back to you!
