Good Morning, Dear Ones. I pray that each of you have been touched by the prayers posted here. I have a little story I want to post. I think it speaks to us and what we are to those who are worried and scared and feel alone. May we all have people with lots of fish bowls in our lives.

    WET PANTS

Come with me to a third grade classroom.....

There is a nine-year-old kid sitting at his desk and
all of a sudden, there is a puddle between his feet and the front of his pants are wet.
He thinks his heart is going to stop because he
cannot possibly imagine how this has happened. It's never happened before, and he knows that when the
boys find out he will never hear the end of it.
When the girls find out, they'll never speak to him again as long as he lives.

The boy believes his heart is going to stop; he puts
his head down and prays this prayer, "Dear God, this is an emergency! I need help now!
Five minutes from now I'm dead meat."

He looks up from his prayer and here comes the
teacher with a look in her eyes that says he has been discovered.

As the teacher is walking toward him, a classmate
named Susie is carrying a goldfish bowl that is filled with water. Susie trips in front of the teacher
and inexplicably dumps the bowl of water in the
    boy's lap.

The boy pretends to be angry, but all the while is
saying to himself, "Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord!"

Now all of a sudden, instead of being the object of ridicule, the boy is the object of sympathy. The teacher rushes him downstairs and gives him gym shorts to put on while his pants dry out. All the other children are on
their hands and knees cleaning up around his desk.
    The sympathy is wonderful.

But as life would have it, the ridicule that should
have been his has been transferred to someone else,Susie

She tries to help, but they tell her to get out.
    You've done enough, you klutz!"

Finally, at the end of the day, as they are waiting
for the bus, the boy walks over to Susie and whispers,
"You did that on purpose, didn't you?"Susie whispers
back, "I wet my pants once too."

May God help us see the opportunities that are
always around us to do good.
Remember.....Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car. I not only love the story --- I love this last
quote!* I only hope that in the coming years there will be
many people with fish bowls around me!!!

"Let your light so shine before others that they may
    see your good works and
glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew
    5:16

    Hi Brenda,

Thank you so much for your post. I am so concerned about my niece's situation. She has a boy 4 yrs. and girl 10 months. Her husband stays at work until all hours, no comforting words for her, in fact - all negative. No support from him AT ALL. My heart breaks for her. I know he is running away and finding it so hard to deal with. Please keep them in your prayers!

    My dear friends,

I read and know of so many waiting on test, undergoing surgery or chemo, family problems that include children, spouses, finance, and aging parents - we are all sometimes such weary travelers on this road called life. I like to think of the picture above as a compassionate, loving heart.

I am posting a prayer of Compassion for all of you who visit here; may it comfort and encourage you. Remember that the Lord cares for us. He not only loves us with an infinite and unconditional love, he cares what happens to us, how we feel and what we need. We are to pray for each other so here is a prayer for you today. Love to all, Brenda

I said a prayer for you today
And know that God must have heard
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke not a word
I didn't ask for wealth or fame
    (I knew you wouldn't mind)
I asked for priceless treasures rare
    Of a more lasting kind.

I prayed that He'd be near to you
At the start of each new day,
To grant you health and blessing fair,
And friends to share your way.

I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small,
But that you'd know His loving care,
I prayed the most of all.
