Welcome back Betty, we missed you! I got your myspace message and added you.
Hope you are feeling more rested up. Me thinks you took on too much! Happy birthday day to your DH! Marsha -
Good Morning Girls, and good evening, Peter
Jankay, I loved the pancake story.
Nickie, it always bothers me to hear someone gets hassled for caring too much. Sheesh. I hope you get that other job.
Betty, Sorry you were having a tough time. Be sure to get all the rest you need.
Marsha, are you doing ok with the rads?
Off to work
XXXOOO
Tricia -
Nicki - Too emotional? Too caring? I guess that's possible, but only if it was impacting your ability to do your job? Sheesh!
Jankay - I'm supposed to be making Warren pancakes right now (been delaying since 8:30 - the poor thing is starving!) and how funny to see your post and Vickie's picture.
Hey Marsha - how goes it? Are you using Eucerin or aloe btw? I found the Eucerin to be the most effective, used it as a preventative measure.
Tricia - good to see you
Betty - welcome back and rest up as much as you can - it took me 2 weeks to catch up from my vacation!
OK, need to get the poor child something to eat before he starts eating Pringles!! LOL -
Good Morning Girls and Good Evening Peter
I learned yesterday that not eating when taking 26 pills a day isn't a good thing. I was rather nauseous several times and once worried I'd throw up the meds. Deep breaths helped me keep it under control. I saw my boobs yesterday and was Very pleased! It appears that the surgeon did a Great job. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised to see them bigger than expected. My first post op fill now is Aug. 6th. I do have recurring extreme pain in the left side which worries me a bit. Other than that and the tiredness from the meds I'm feeling pretty good! Oh yeah and the big knots in my back but the muscle relaxers help them be manageable.
(((((((((( Shirley)))))))))) hoping you can feel our hugs from aound the globe.
Liz - nice that you had a bathroom break yesterday!
Karen - Sending you big hugs and hoping all went well. I hope we hear from you soon.
Odalys - thanks for the info on the Halo Breast Pap . I hadn't heard of it but am very interested for my daughters.
Nicki - sorry to hear about your day yesterday. Maybe you'll get this other job that you saw in the paper on Sunday. It sounds like you're not appreciated where you are now.
Colleen - I know you'll miss Warren when he's gone. I really like his name btw. It's my dad's middle name...you don't hear it much.
Puppy - thabk you for your kind words. You are a sweet lady. I'll be thinking of you all week and will be on the magic carpet for you.
I'm going to have to finish this later, the meds are kicking my butt and I am having trouble typing! My eyes keep closing on me and suddenly feeling very nauseas. Have a good morning all, bbl.
Love & hugs,
Charlene -
Shirley,
Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts. I do remember you talking about your nephew and your sister and her husband. Such a sad ending now. Thinking of you during this difficult time.

Wild/Jan, I hate housework, too. So I don't do it too often. LOL
Tricia -
Good morning sweet chicas and good night Peter.......geez the circle sure does have its up and downs.......I sometime believe that because we are already enduring cancer that nothing bad can happen to our families which of course is false but so so sad when we lose a young adult that have their whole life ahead of them.....anyway I see we have some new additions.......horse Jan I am wild about horses as well....growing up I had two quarter horses and did all the showing and oh by the way I hate housework.....can stay out in the yard all day long.....but housework not my thing......brb.......
-
awww crap...Mr.Icky is on his way to my office with lunch...I was out of my office with no way to tell him not to bother...lets just say I don't intend to be "nice or gullible or stupid"...LOL. I can't believe I actually got sick, it's been 4 days since my surgery. Feeling a little better now but going to bed again soon. Maybe I've been pushing myself a bit too much.
Jankay - Loved your post this morning, very touching. I loved being on IM with you and our chat.
Betty - wow, it sounds like you're being overworked and underappreciated. I'm sorry you had such a bad day, that shouldn't have had to happen.
Lynne - I hope you got your golf game in before it got too hot!
Mandy - As a very wise woman told me, housework is very overrated. Still, I hope you got done what you wanted to so you can go enjoy yourself and not think about it!
Denise - I will definitely keep Karl! mmmm, the bread sounds like it Was good. Nicki's response was right on! When I'm up I need to come here talk to my friends! lol
Cheri - it was great chatting with you last night! You always make me smile.
Well, these drugs are getting to me again. I better go lie down. I have to start listening to my body more I guess. BBL -
Shirley,
I am so VERY sorry to hear the news about your nephew. This is very tragic...my condolences to you, your sister and the rest of your family.
Mandy -
Hi everyone,
Well all those "ass kickings" must have worked because fate intervened. I complained that my computer was infected/disabled and limping along lately. Well, I decided to finally call and get it fixed. The guy shows up and tries to fix it but announces that he's got to take it with him!!! So I am without a computer for the time being (I popped into my office this morning and am checking the board from work) Can you believe it? I still had the shakes this morning from the sudden withdrawal but I think the computer is on it's way back this afternoon (whew!!) The bright side is that I did get most of my housework completed!!! I go for chemo #5 (of 6) this afternoon so will be pretty much useless after that!
Vickie - I am 3/4 done with Time Traveller's Wife. I too heard rave reviews about it! It is good - a bit confusing at first but I am really into it now.
Denise - as my above paragraph states, I AM addicted...it's just 'cuz you're all so nice and welcoming - and I think a little bit whacky- I like that in people!
Margaret - I'd like a hunky man to be my house cleaner/masseur/servant...hmmm I think we may be on to something!!
Jankay - loved your pancake story and all of your stories and jokes! They make me smile!
Charlene - Congrats on the new girls...yes we did have surgery the same day (March 29th) However, I am left with a deformed looking, still slightly blue niplled left breast and a saggy right one while you have nice perky boobs! (Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to still have them) Good for you! I read on another thread somewhere here about some funny t-shirts that are available to purchase - one of them is "Yes these are fake - my real ones tried to kill me!"
Well, I'm off to chemo this afternoon - will post later have a great day everybody!
Mandy -
Here's some counter info on that Ductal Lavage diagnosis...my daughter found it and sent it to me in email. Sounds like its not that good in diagnosing bc.

Afternoon kids, another busy day for me. I managed to run to the store to pick up a few things we had to have. While I was checking out, I heard someone yell oh no, ma'am. I turned around and a girl had passed out on the floor and not a single soul was doing a thing. So I run over there and see that she's out cold, eyes rolling back, sweating but thank God has a pulse and is slowly breathing. Tell them to call 911 and get me a cold wet towel. She slowly started coming around and is going to be okay. She told me she hadn't eaten today. I can relate as I've done the same. So we need to all to remember to eat. Poor girl, she refused the ambulance but was pretty shaken up. We called a family member to come get her. So guess I did my good deed for the day.
Again, I am lost here but know that I try to read everyone's posts.
You are all always on my mind and in my prayers.
BBL

Today is my 1 year anniversary of a weird date. I started chemo the 2nd time 1 year ago today. I suppose I should drink a beer tonight and celebrate. Like I need a reason to have a beer?!?
So's family still here and we are all having a blast. They leave tomorrow and that will be sad to see them go.

Liz -
Oh Holly, I'm so sorry. Our pets are so much a party of us.
Hugs
Liz -
Oh No, Holly. I am soo sorry. Our dogs are like our children and we've lost some and it's devastating. We just lost our black lab last fall and I cried like a baby, she was 11 yrs old and we'd her since a pup. My heart goes out to you.
Cheri -
Oh Holly I am so sorry. Same thing happened to us with our dear Dali, a black lab who was 10 years old. Hubby and I cried for weeks, she was our baby. I went in with her and was talking to her as they put her in a peaceful sleep. She had such a look in her eye that said, "It's OK, I've had a good life with you." OK Holly now I'm crying. Thinking about you. Marsha
-
Oh Holly I am so sorry to hear about feathers. Your golden looks so much like mine. Hugs to you and a big hug to Feathers also. CG's are watching over Feathers!
Amy -
I know-they are like family and we get so used to them being there with their unconditional, steady love. This dog loves people so much and she follows me everywhere, waits for me to tell her what to do, trusts me so much and I can just see that trusting look in her eyes whan I bring her. It is breaking my heart--. Gosh even the vet and assisant were crying--she has this way of melting people's hearts with her eyes. Other than being very tired and losing weight, she doesn't look sick. I took those pics today. But she has had a good life with us, wish it was longer. She's only a little over 8 years. If only this could have waited until next year when some of this cancer stuff was more of a distant memory!
