Good afternoon ladies,
Boy am I late.
Genny as soon as u find out, pleeeeze let us know too. This is always a hard time. And yes I just saw that one on Golden girls, there's hardly one I misse yet.d, but that was a good one. So many still make me laugh, that's why I watch it. I go from one extreme to another comedy or horror, no not whorer, horror.
Kim I'm glad ur listening to all of us, cuz we remember last time u went overboard and don't want a repeat of that in any way. U come first cu others won't get the benefit of ur gooness if ur sick. So just slow down. Kim I do buy frozen food, then forget the my goofy kids on't keep things in the freezer as long as u can.
Oh I can't switch pages and forgot what I read, but it was a while ago, da phones boss, on Sunday yet GRRRRR
It's snowing right now, but doesn't look like a bad one, we'll see. I would think Sandy's getting more cuz of the lake.
Hey Teka
OK I hope the rest of ur Sunday is just that rest.

Thanks everyone for thinking of me. Sadly, no progress to report, just waiting and learning some patience 🙂

Hi friends- happy Funday Sunday. Anyone watching the Academy Awards tonight? Not me, I am working on getting my windows ready for tomorrow's final blinds installation (yay) and getting my house ready for the morning visit with the Lowes install person. So ready to have this project done!
We have had unusually warm weather again this weekend. It was up to 65 degrees yesterday, felt like spring for sure, but still too early. We have more winter coming this week though, not quite done with snow in these parts.
Made plans to go up to Santa Fe Thursday night to see Kat Edmondon, whose music I got introduced to eight years ago at my first and only visit to South By Southwest Music festival. What a fun time that was, and got to see some very well known artists including Bruce Springsteen, Christopher Cross, Dr. John, Nora Jones, but also met so many budding artists at that time; 2012 was Kat's big introduction into the music scene at both SXSW and ACL and have followed her music and waited until now to get a ticket to be sure I could go, but now I can.

NM- glad you are enjoying a relaxing weekend. I think you got our storm that came through here Tuesday (friends in Boston said it was snowing and icy yesterday in their area too). I hope you were able to enjoy some nice downtime with Miss Sadie. I know your winters there are much longer than ours, but it seems like everyone for spring. Do you have gardens at your home?
Genny- I know you are scared and the waiting is to me some of the hardest part, but we continue to be in your pocket. I hope you get some good news this week and can just focus on getting some treatment for the bones.
Cami- hoping your weekend has been good and that you have not had to manage any phones. It will be fun to have the girls to visit with very soon! My mother used to say it is always good to have something to look forward to.
Ill- sending a gentle hello your way and hoping there is healing on the way for those nerves and the vocal cords.
Goldie- my sister says its pouring cats and dogs in CA which means we got more moisture coming our way. Supposed to be mixed rain and snow here Tuesday into Wed.
Celia C, Mistyeyes, Karen, hoping your day is going well.
Okay friends, back to the grind and wishing you all a good week. Hope you have a good Valentines Day with those you love (that includes friends, family, pets, and more!)

Good Morning, Loungettes!Waking up to more snow, AND temps supposed to get up into the 40's this afternoon. Going to be messy. Welcome to winter in Maine! Sadie was not impressed with the 2 inches on top of the crusty snow already on the ground. Gots lots to do at work this week, playing ketchup and getting ahead a bit.
Cammy Cat--I'm going to be a good girl and take care of myself! NO 12 hour shifts this week at all. Will look and see what I can do to help with the overtime issue next week, but cutting back to one shift on the units so I can keep up with my own stuff, too.
Hugs Illimae.
Jazzy--It's a ways yet to spring here. I have container gardens on my deck, and a square foot garden in the yard, and last fall I added a circular bulb garden that's planted with crocus, tulips, daffodils, irises, hyacinths, and day lilies. We'll see how that gets through the winter and what it does next summer. Sadie and I did enjoy a nice long lazy weekend, but I did get a few things done around the house.
Nieve Rosa (Pink Snow Cocktail)

Been a busy weekend here, hence I was missing! Those high winds we had a few days ago, took the roof up on our old west town. It was scary trying to fix it, for fear it would fall on one of us. But, we got er done.
Kim, what's taking so long for the electrician? Glad you at least got an extension cord. Yay for saying no.
BabyGirl, no progress to report? Not even a little? Did you get your money back from the Laughlin trip?
Jazzy, rain/snow for here today and tomorrow. You're new blinds will look magnificant!
NM, you certainly diserved a nice relaxing weekend. That Pink Snow looks really pretty...glad it's not yellow!
Mary, in your pocket today for the biopsy. I'll sneak some wine into your IV for you.

Some of you are going to love this, an old Chuck Mangione favorite from long ago. Beautiful version with lyrics on his famous song, Feels So Good, changes this into something really lovely. Vocals by Don Potter who I googled and he is a long time Nashville musician, who also is the producer for the Judds.
That is your music lesson for today friends. Enjoy.

I'm way off time here.
Illi I'm sorry to hear u don't feel better, I pray it will happen soon.
Lori, the roof came down, holy chit and u helped put it back up, WTF how could u do that, so glad u didn't get hurt. LOL yellow snow.
Jazzy I forgot that song. I heard the first note and it all came back. And now ur getting ur blinds good for you.
Mary I thought today was finding everything out or u find out right away. Either way we're all with you.
OK Kim I will take ur word for it, but u do have a way of working more than u should. U can't help it, cu u always think of others first, so try hard to resist any extra work. I know I nag but that's the way I am, especially with SOME people. Another belly rub for Sadie.
OK I'm trying to go to sleep so I'll try again
Prayers for all of us.

Good morning ladies, Jazzy, you should take some pictures for us when you get your blinds up and get the remodeling done. We need to paint, baseboards are a mess. I did not watched the awards except maybe the first 10 minutes, I think I fell asleep and DH changed the channel. Sonds like you have some fun gigs coming up, enjoy! Gotta love Maxine!
Lori, glad you were able to fix the roof before it blew away, must've been some wind!
Kim, I know you're younger than me, do you have to work till 65? Or worse yet 66 1/2. I know you like your work but it'd be nice if you could do it a bit less. Hope you can talk them into 8 hour days. We've been having similar weather here, supposed to get up to 50 later this week, that means lots of muddy paw prints around here.
Cami, love the cats.
Ill, sending virtual hugs your way, how are you getting nutrition?
Ok, so here's the skinny.....Called the MO office first thing yesterday and left a message about my CAT scan results, they called me back and said a radiologist had not read them yet! I had to be at the hospital at 11:30 for my 1:00 biopsy. I go thru the gown and sticky socks and B/P cuff and IV and finally get into the operating room and it's a radiologist doing the biopsy! Well hot damn, so I tell him of my woes regarding my CT and he says "well I need to read that before I do the biopsy." So he goes off for a few minutes and comes back and says at a quick glance it appears that my organs are clear but I have "multiple lesions on my spine". That was news to me, I thought it was just one little area. SO everything went fine and they gave me the report as I was being discharged. So the good new is that my organs are clear..YAY! The bad news... my entire spine from the T1 to the sacrum (tailbone) is full of cancer, including my pelvis. Sure does diminish my faith in bone scans, it said I had arthritis! Then they did the MRI but only of the thoracic area that the scan questioned, and that's when they said it was mets. The bone scan also said I had arthritis in both clavicles, neck, both feet and pretty much everywhere else. Now I'm wondering if the mets is elsewhere. My MO told me a few weeks ago when this all started that she did not think I needed a PET but I just don't trust that bone scan report. What do you girls think, I see her next Monday to get the biopsy results and my treatment plan. Should I insist on a PET? I mean, how do I know it's not in my neck and clavicles, they lit up just as much as everyplace else that was said to be arthritis. And don't I need to know for sure before starting tx? I'm still reeling, my back has bothered me for a long time but I just kept thinking, arthritis, standing, age and meds. In 2018 I was sure I had mets in my pelvis area, I finally got a orthopedic guy to order an MRI but it came back as arthritis and ruptured discs. IDK, seems this shit has to have been there for awhile, guess the AI stopped working quite awhile ago. Should I call her office and ask for a PET? Or should I just wait till next week when I see her?
So my DH is going out of town overnight and 2 of my friends from Port Clinton, (where I'm from and where the g-kids live) it's and hour away...anyway 2 of my longtime friends are both off today so they are coming to take me out to lunch, I almost said no I have too much to do and then I thought..NO.. the friggin' housework can wait, from now on I have to do what I want!
Thanks for listening and opinions are appreciated!

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Twofer Tuesday! Got a confession to make. I let myself get talked into covering one of the units from 3 peeyem to 7 peeyem last night. Not exactly a 12 hour shift since I started at 8 ayem, but 11 hours is bad enough. Sadie was so mad at me when I got home late. I'm not very happy with myself for giving in, either. So I'm going in a bit later this morning, that was already planned cuz I have a CPR class this evening, so it will be 8 hours or less today. Dear Lord I wish we could find some more nurses!
Goldie--Glad you got the old West roof back on without injuries! The electrician is booked up until into spring, he's going to call me if one of the jobs gets done early to come look at things and see what's happening, but unless it's a very quick fix the repair probably won't be until spring, or early summer. One of the problems of owning a home in a rural area is the wait time for services. But once this is taken care of I'll be on his client list and waits won't be quite so long, I hope.
Jazzy--That's a great clip to hear!
Cammy Cat--yes, I do have a way of working more than I should. Keep right on nagging at me, it helps keep me in balance! Sadie says Thank You for the belly rub!
Genny--I can retire with full Social Security benefits at 66 years and 10 months. So I've got about 6 more years to go of working. Or at least before pulling for Social Security. I might be able to live off my retirement savings alone for a bit, got to figure out the details of that someday. Boy, you have had a time with that CT scan. I'm concerned that the radiologist hadn't already read the CT scan before scheduling the biopsy, let alone before getting ready to do it. I certainly wouldn't be confident of his "quick glance" at it. I say have a real radiologist's full reading done. I'm thinking talking to your MO and finding out how confident the docs are about the call between arthritis and mets, and if the PET will be able to differentiate, and if the PET results would change the treatment plan options. Then go with how you feel. If you need the PET results to feel comfortable with choosing a treatment plan, push for one. But if it's really bothering you now, push for the PET now so you'll have the results when you see your MO. What do you need to ease your mind about what is going on? That's what you need to do. And good for you for letting the housework go and having lunch with your friends!
Happy Birthday, Illi!

Hi friends- got a lot of weather going on here in my part of the world. I woke up to rain yesterday, but it was clear late yesterday afternoon and got out for some end of the day errands and a trip to the store. Sounds like high winds and snow today so will see if I can get out for my planned swim at noon. I have another work opp that got sent to me last night and looks very interesting and calling later this am to discuss.
The blinds got installed yesterday without problem and really happy with them. Got some color changes in a few areas, and will say the ones in my home office I really like the best. My front bedroom is coldest in the winter, warmest in the summer with the west facing windows. Instead of a white/off white like I had, I put in a blue-ish grey that goes nicely with the accent wall and some curtains I have in that room too. I will post some pics shortly from my phone. The installer took my old blinds away and said they have a recycler for those too. They were dirty enough that they were not good to donate to Habitat for Humanity restore, which is what I do when I replace things and if they can be of use to others. Recycle, reuse, re-purpose and all that jazz.....
Genny- oh sister, you are not getting the best information from all these tests and in a timely way. I am glad you spoke up to the radiologist to let him know but good lord, he had to stop what he was doing to go read the images before the biopsy? Not his fault, it is the front desk and related staff not making sure things flow in the right order. It is good news no organ involvement, but more extensive bone mets is not good news to hear and right before a procedure.
I find my PCP has always been a good advocate to help me get what I need many times through cancer stuff. I would ask that person either before hand or during your visit for a PET scan. This is YOUR body and YOUR treatment you are heading in to, and in order to have the best chance for this, you need complete data. I think it is fair to bring up that you have had a problem getting timely and complete information about the extent of your mets from the most recent tests. And maybe add you will not be ready to move to treatment until you can be assured the best info is available for treatment decisions. I would want everything done to be sure they know every bone that cancer may be in. I know they always rush us through these tests, but have heard from other sisters when diagnosed with Stage IV that they insisted on complete results before they would agree to moving forward. It is hard to advocate for yourself with all this going on, but your PCP can help you hear and help the MO to get it that you are not going ahead with anything without better info. I am really sorry this is so hard for your, sending much love.
Also, I also am glad your friends are taking you to lunch. Housework will be there, I think having some support from friends while DH is away is a good thing. Friends who show up for us during these tough times are our real friends. Eat something good today!
NM- do you have any other contractors you work with that can recommend a different electrician for you? I find that if the referrals come from the contractor community, they tend to show up better. I always say that too, so and so referred me to you. They seem to not want to disappoint their colleagues more than a potential customer. I am not sure how close your work is to home, but maybe ask your colleagues at work too? I think you have waited long enough to get this person over there to help you for what sounds like a small job?
Cami- cats and pushing things off surfaces, lol. I never knew that until much later in life. We had an outdoor cat at couple times growing up, none of us could tolerate any inside fur. As friends and family say, anything breakable has to be kept away from kid and cats. I hope you are having a good week. Will you be seeing any of your boyfriends for V-Day?
Ill- thinking of you and hoping things are improving day to day.
ChiSandy, Goldie, Mistyeyes, Celia C, Karen and more, hoping you are having a good week.
Gotta get going to my snowy day going. Blessings to all here on this thread!

Mornin ladies
Oh wow Mary I am not one to give any kind of advice, cuz I tend to compartmentalize so many things that I choose not to think of. BUT I always feel like if u have a gut feeling about something demand it and before u even see ur Dr. Tell ur Dr. how u feel and think about this and u would feel better about all of this for the right plan of action. I'm sorry all of this is happening, it's like a nitemare coming back, but they do have much better treatments now than just a few years back. And u have great friends and I'm sure they will be right with you. Sending prayers and <<<HUGS>>> always.
Illi I wish u were getting along better, but I'm sure it will come, Sorry what ur going thru.
Jazzy I like the color of ur new blinds and it's finally done and looks great, U put a lot of work into that urself so be proud Missy.
OK KIM I knew u were going to work more, I swear while I was writing I thought she broke the code already. Kim u just can't do that anymore. U like this job and if u continue to overwork, u won't like it, then what??? All these yrs. I remember one time when u got so so sick and u worked so much that's why I nag cuz I have to. Slow down girl, u move to fast <a song> but I'm using it for you NOW.
Lori ur going to want to stay out of this house a lot. LOL Joey and his love of blonde hair, he won't want to leave u, we sat and talked about it, told him he's got to give u room to breath. I know he'll be shy at first but then he'll start to talk and try and stop him....so good luck

Hi all, some good news to report, stable scans!
Still living on soup and boost/ensure drinks for now, but hopefully not too much longer.
NM, thanks for the early birthday wishes (19th). Happy Birthday to you too next week (20th).
-
Illimae - so glad to hear stable scans. Whew!!! Sounds like the end is in sight for the Boost. I'm keeping you in my thoughts. (oh well yes, I'm drinking while I'm thinking)
-
Ill- very good news 🙏❤️
-
Great news, Ilona! And pretty soon you'll be able to enjoy REAL milkshakes, then ice cream, then bisques and other soups.
Mary, that CT/biopsy runaround must be pretty infuriating. I'm with Kim on this--demand the PET sooner rather than later so you can get a handle on just what needs to be treated and how. You'll probably be getting Xgeva shots no matter what, for the bone mets.
Lori, the roof blew off? Yikes! A reminder that we make plans and God says "hold My beer." You, Cami, & Mary--where is the Holiday Inn or Hampton near Cami? I know there's a raft of great restaurants in OakBrook mall--we love Wildfire, Mon Ami Gabi, Gibson's, Ditka's, Seasons 52, Grand Luxe Cafe, etc. (Maggiano's Little Italy is fun--fantastic lasagna & eggplant parm, but there's not much I can eat there any more besides a Caesar salad). Lombard has a branch of both Capital Grille and Greek Islands (the latter is more affordable), plus some Chinese & Italian. There are several chains & diners along its "stomach strip," as I remember from the last time I played a Maple St. Chapel concert.
(Not sure when you're planning the meetup--Bob & I are going to see Audra McDonald at Dominican U. on 3/14. I will be in San Diego from 4/2-7. First two Passover Seder nights are 4/8-9. Then Easter weekend. The Bar Assn. Cast Party & Rookie Show is 4/17 in the River North 'hood of Chicago. My temple choir is performing at the 4/24 Shabbat service. Bob & I will be in NYC in early or mid-May for a few days. And I'm playing & teaching 6/13-14 at a folk festival down in Morris).
Jazzy, Mangione was part of the soundtrack of my life in the years right after law school. "Feels So Good" takes me back to our last couple of weeks in Seattle before moving here, and the first couple of weeks in Chicago. At the time, our little Datsun had only an aftermarket AM radio--I played Mangione albums on a portable cassette recorder I kept on the passenger seat (or my passenger's lap). I was amazed at the improvement when we finally got a car stereo. My favorite albums of his were the live-in-concert Land of Make Believe (with Esther Satterfield on vocals), Bellavia and Chase the Clouds Away. Satterfield also sang his "If You Know Me Any Longer than Tomorrrow," which is one of my favorite jazz vocals ever. We got to see him with the Seattle Symphony (sans vocals, alas) at the old Paramount Northwest.
So Friday night's gig at Two Way Street went well (made the guarantee and sold 3 CDs). Not bad considering we were competing against the Dem. debate. But my L hand seized up toward the end of our next-to-the-last song, and a chord I played on dulcimer was, uh, interesting. It was momentary, however. But when we went out for pizza after, it seized up again--almost like a claw, with my index finger crossed under the other two, and cramped like crazy. I had to hold my hand flat on the table while I gnawed the toppings off my two slices. Considered pulling in to the ER at Good Samaritan (it's on the way back to I-88), but thought "what if I walk in and my hand is okay again?" Wearing my heavy shearling gloves all the way home did the trick. Bob suggested I take Baclofen twice a day instead of just at bedtime--it's an anti-spasmodic often used to treat focal dystonia (which this apparently was). There's also a possibility I had overdone rehearsing in the couple of days before the show, and playing for two 45-min. sets (guitar, dulcimer, harmonica) may have irritated tendons. Focal dystonia sometimes originates in the basal ganglia of the brain--and my ENT (whom I'm seeing fon 2/26 or the pulsatile tinnitus) may order a head CT or brain MRI anyway to rule out tumor or arterio-venous doo-dah (two birds with one stone). Since I went to BID on the Baclofen, so far so good. (Knock wood, kinahurrah, scutta malocchio, insert superstitious incantation of choice here....).
Sat. I went to Target and opened a clear flexy plastic box to check what a hairbrush I was planning to buy looked like--and I was thinking "hope I don't cut myself on this," Well, on the way home, I felt a sharp sting in my R middle finger (how ironic!) that felt like an electric shock or a splinter. Got home--and even with a bright light and 10x magnifier I couldn't see anything that looked like a sliver or even a cut. Saw my gyne today for my 5-yr checkup (which was normal except for the yeast infection blisters in my lower-ab skin fold along my 35-y-o C-section incision), and neither she nor her NP could see nor feel anything in my finger either--they ordered an X-ray at Immediate Care up the street, which showed...nothing. So I have to do warm soaks & bacitracin until whatever's in there (most likely a tiny shard of plastic) either walls itself off or works itself out. Meanwhile, I'm getting used to the little shocks--in the grand scheme of what everyone else here is going through, extremely trivial.
-
Now, in the "drinking" dept.--B'way Cellars had its annual Oscar Party & buffet Sun. night. They hold a contest to see who can get the most awards correct--winner gets a couple bottles of wine and bragging rights, autographing the giant inflatable "Oscar wiener" (yup, Oscar Mayer) above the bar. Bob actually won twice--a record that still stands. I was part of a 10-way tie for second place! There was a red carpet, and I dressed for it: gold sequined jacket, gold lamé tank, black velvet pants. But this year, nobody else did (well, except for one guy who wore a T-shirt that looked like a tux). The two guys sitting next to me shared their bottle of champagne with me--Bob had to work till 1am this year, and trusted me to do my homework. I saw only two of the films, but did a lot of reading and consulted the NY Times and Vanity Fair picks, consolidating them for guidance. Still not good enough, alas--15 right, 4 wrong. (One year Bob got all of them right and won; another year he also got all of them right, but so did someone else, who nailed the tie-breaker: the exact time the closing credits rolled).
No wine last night, but tonight I had a couple oz. of Hess Collection "Flyer" Pinot Noir with dinner and a cheese plate.
We're going to see "Madame Butterfly" for Valentine's Day.

Good morning and happy humpday! Had a great time with my friends yesterday, we hit the restaurant right at the beginning of happy hour, 2:00 so it was def a happy lunch, they ended up spending the night, left a little while ago cause Amy had to work. It really was exactly what I needed and I have no idea why my letters just changed...eh ehmm... a little help here Cami! So it really took my mind off of my shit for awhile. Seriously, if anyone know why my puter is typing in italics let me know....
So I called my MO office and asked to speak to the nurse, she called me right back and I told her my concerns about the lack of info about the bone scan, at first she said she didn't think MO would order a PET, or insurance would approve it because it wouldn't change the tx plan. So I told her that I felt like I had a puzzle missing several pieces. I said what if we start tx and in 6 months you find cancer in my scapula or neck? We won't know whether it was there all along or a progression, at that she got it and said she'd talk to MO about it. She called back an hour later and said they'd be ordering the PET but it'd probably take a little time to get it approved by ins company so it won't be before I see her but at least I'll get it. I find it hard to believe that I have mets everywhere below T1 but none above? I mean as much as I wish it were so I just don't believe it.
I have to work today and DH is gone so I hafta get the pooches out as soon as the sun comes up. Going to start telling my customers about my upcoming retirement, I've been there 15 years, longer than just about every resident so it's going to be kind of sad but the right choice for me now.
Jazzy, loved the Today show story, really brought a smile to my face, my friend Molly and I have a love for 60's and 70's and we have the worst singing voices but boy do we sing when we are together, esp in the car...lightens the soul! Love the blinds, the striped ones are my favorite! My PCP was my next call if I didn't get what I wanted from the MO. And you were right, it wasn't the radiologist fault, he'd obviously read the CT because he came in the room saying I had multiple mets/lesions but he didn't realize it hadn't been formally read and I didn't know the results. So he scanned it and then read it formally after he was finished if that makes sense.
ill, yay on good scans, hope solid food is just around the corner.NM, that's a long time to work yet, def a good reason to push for 8's over 12's. Plus Sadie needs u too! Thanks for advice on PET, I have to go with my gut on this one, I can't imagine the ins company not approving it but I will fight it if they do. Sandy, my grandma used to make this stuff...it was in baby food jars, looked like brown sticky goo and it smelled awful. We called it Auntmadesauve. No idea what it was and the recipe died with her but u put it on a bandaid and it pulled your splinters out while you slept.. it really worked! Your story made me think of it, wish I had some to give you.Lori, thanks for the phone call.. hi to everyone I missed.Got to run, one more cup of coffee then I'm off with the dogs...have a good day everyone! -

Good Morning, Loungettes!Happy Hump Day! Looking forward to the monthly Wednesday, Women and Wine get together this evening. We're meeting at a new place tonight, I'm looking forward to checking it out and the gab fest that goes with our get togethers. I'm really feeling the need for some non-work social time. Will need to find some special treat for Sadie to make up for getting home late. Although the cuddle time this ayem as I waited for the second alarm to go off was awfully nice, and she seemed to like it, too, so maybe that will help!
Jazzy--Good luck with the work opp that came in! And with getting in the swim. Restore is a wonderful place, I go in once in a while and just look around for ideas. You never know what can be found there! I don't work with any other contractors other than a chain garage door company. I live 25 miles or so from where I work, and just outside the "greater Bangorarea" that Bangor companies cover, so I would have to pay extra just to get someone to drive to my place, and want to avoid that. The current electrician is the only local one in my area, the second one that I had a recommendation for has retired. But, you have a point, I've waited long enough, going to start looking for someone else, and see what I can find. Love the Singing Nurse article.Love the new shades!
Cammy Cat--Poor kitty who isn't the hunter he thought he was!Too funny! And I am listening to you. Next week I am covering the unit for 4 hours, the week after than I'm covering an 8 hour shift. AND NO MORE. Already scheduled and set. If I get tempted to say "yes" to another request I'm going to have them call YOU and convince you, first!
Illi--oops, got your B-day wrong on my calendar! But so what, have a happy Birthday week or two and enjoy! So glad the scans are stable!
Chi--crazy about your hand cramping up like that. I hope it's nothing more than overwork and not something more serious. The shocks inyour finger must be awfully annoying, I can't imagine what that must feel like. Hope it passes off ASAP. The Oscar Party sounds like fun, imagine the exact time the creds roll is imaginative as a tie breaker!

Cami, the roof didn't come completely down, which is what made it scary! Joey will be fine.
Mary, I would wait until I saw MO and as for more scans, I wouldn't do it, but that's just me. But as you can see, others think you should press for the PET. They ruled out organ involvement, that is awesome. My MO does nuclear bone and CT with and w/o contrast. Housework can wait....dang tootin skippy! Ok, you got through and they are going to try for the scans. YES, insurance company may deny it, I wouldn't be surprised! There is an "I" for italics, just above the box you post in, along with the "B" for bold, the icons to insert pics or links, etc.
NM, I totally understand about living in a rural area....LMBO! You are a softy for sure, giving in at work. Be careful there girl, you keep saying yes, they will keep asking. Wednesday wine and women are just what the doctor ordered. Remember to check out the menu online! Good idea to have work call Cami and have here convince them that you can not work anymore hours!
Jazzy, we got rain and snow Monday night, into Tuesday. Probably 4-5 inches! The new blinds look really nice. And you already have something brewing on the job front.
BabyGirl, at least you have some good news to report, yay for clean scans. You sure needed something good!
Sandy, not sure when we will do our visit, but I will have been driving all day and going out to eat will not be a priority. Also possiblity that we may get something to eat on the way and not even be hungry. That is why I said maybe something carry out. It will most likely be a "play it by ear", instead of trying to make plans. Especially since our time is so limited. Sorry about your hand and finger.
Good thing I refreshed, or NM, Mary and I would be in the cement pond! But I'm sure our Tenders would take great care of us!

DH and son really enjoyed the mountain cabin. We hiked in the rain one day and had a beautiful sunny hike the next day. Today DH and I will explore a mountain town about an hour from here. It has been very relaxing here. Just what I needed. Sounds like people have been busy. Love the shades! Illi, so good to hear the scans were good. Sandy, would that drug work for leg cramps? DH has a real problem with those, especially after a hike.
I will share a few pics of our hike.

Good Morning, Loungettes! Another snowy ayem, but it's not supposed to amount to much. Not sure what direction the temps are supposed to go after this round. All these temp changes are creating a lot of icequakes. Had one the other night that shook the house! Made me jump but Sadie never even woke up. Ah, the life of a doggo!
Goldie--The WWW get together was just what the doctor ordered! I had 2 Kir Royales with my chicken and broccoli alfredo. It was a little italian restaurant and the alfredo was the best I've had in quite some time. Had a new lady join us, it was great fun getting to know her and her getting to know us. I did get asked to do another 3 p to 7 pm coverage next week, bought myself time saying I had to think about it. I struggle with knowing that I'm the last person the scheduler asks to pick up time. I can start the day later so I'm still working only 8 hours, but I'm already covering 8 hours next week and that will make 12 hours of work time not spent on my own job, and I'm feeling like things are getting behind. AARRGGHH!
Librarian--great pics, that must have been a wonderful hike!

Mornin ladies,
Illi good news about the scans, Now I bet u'll see progress with ur throat that should start up very soon.
Oh I'm glad u pushed for a pet scan, at least they know how important this is for you. But there might be the old insurance crap u'll have to go thru. They are really crap. I've wondered who they hire for a medical team to make decisions, I figured they were Drs. that din't make the grade to practice. I know that[s not nice to say but come on something is wrong there.
JC I can't believe u did so much hiking wow that's a lot of land and ur pics are fantastic U must have been tired by the end of the day. But a good tired.
All right is it just me...what are ice quakes do a lot of states have them, I've never heard of them or I forgot.OK see see what I mean KIM ur crumbling already, u said enough was enough now ur soft heart is going to ;let u work more than u should, I knew this would happen, but u have to think logically with ur head, ur body might not like it, then what??? U've got to learn the word NO <for ur job anyway> an YES for going out and having a good time like last nite. U need more fun going on and Sadie won't get upset then cuz she'll know u r. Oh I want to shake you, but I would never hurt you so I won't and can't anyway. LOL
A fun fact: Joey has Torticollis ---he had it years ago and it came back. We used to call it a stiff neck and u can't move it so ur neck is at an angle and it spasmed out there and hurt. Now there is an actual name for it. But now u have to be treated for it and take meds.I guess it's common in babies, but in this house anything is common. He stayed home yesterday but going to school, personally I think he should give it another day cuz he's going to school on drugs, he's going to get tired fast so we'll see. He always feels guilty about staying home, didn't come from me for sure.
More snow around here and it's being all mixed up with some rain at times. My niece is supposed to come for my shower today but we'll see about the weather. I'l be getting my haircut soon. Les did warn me my hair is so thin now it might not turn out the way I want it, but I''m still going for it, anything is better than what I have now.
OK hello to everyone this morning I hope everyone has a good day and Sandy keep up ur drink at nite
LUBS U ALL
