Cami, I think you did a fine job with Stella and think you can handle her BETTER than DorK. After all, you DID get her to clean.
Yay for clearing Dr. Puka Dort. Do you still have to clean it like you have been? Wow, you got Stella Striperella to clean too? See, Cami trained her well. Hope your dad made it in just fine and will get to see hims soul mate today. Can’t wait to hear all about it.
Sue, when did you talk to Heather? I thought that commercial was suppose to be last October. I believe it was suppose to air on Channel 8. You can do laundry here sweetness, if you need to pack lighter. You might get away with shorts in Phx, but not up here I don’t think. But it’s that time of year where it could be 70 here or we could get several feet of snow!!!! And you will have fun wif Maddy. Doze pictures making me cringed again, meese whole body shaking.
Lara, I believe Warren BROKE the bone, so no popping it back into place. How much snow did you get?
NM, are you ok?
Cami, did it go by you? And still no snow?
I don’t think it’s Nemo over here, but it’s blowin and a snowing here. I think we are only suppose to get a couple inches. All of the lingering snow we had, had just melted and everything was dry. Now it will get muddy again, grrrrrrr. DH doing a tad better, not coughing quite as much. I think he will live!
DOTD-The Snow Globe
1.5 oz Vodka
1 oz White Crème de Cacao Liqueur
.5 oz Pear Schnapps / Liqueur
.5 oz Peppermint Schnapps / Liqueur
2-3 oz Club Soda
White Chocolate Chips
Coarse White Sugar
PREP:
In a double boiler, melt white chocolate chips till smooth.
Cover the rim of your snifter with white chocolate, and then coat with coarse sugar while chocolate is still soft
Add a dollop of melted white chocolate to the bottom of the glass and place a “Peeps” Marshmallow Snowman into the soft chocolate till set.
MIX:
In a shaker with ice, mix the vodka, Crème de Cacao, Pear and Peppermint Schnapps, strain into your glass, slowly over the snowman, top off with club soda
Sprinkle a pinch of sugar into the glass as it is being served to create the illusion of the “Snow Globe”
YUMMMMM, sweet and it has wodka in it!!!!
Happy Sat TURD Day goilies

OK Good Morning--I've been watvhing the weather, wow it's bad some places are not only issueing tickets is u are driving big money and up to a yr. in jail--They don't want anyone on the streets cuz u can't get thru. OH NM I hope we hear from u--they'r saying a lot of no elctric stuff all over the places. And in a lot of places it's still snowing and loads of wind. I like the way I'm saying all this--like u don't know.
Well I tried cleaning up the computer with Avgast (whatever that name is) cuz I'm thinking avgast me hardee the whole time, of course this was 2 ayem so I don't know what the hell I did-I'll have my dgtr look at it later-she know a little more than I do. Remeber this was my 2ayem brain which is alot diffrent from my 6PM brain.
Well I hope everyone checks in soon.

Morning DahhhlinKs!!
News is all about ME and MA getting the worst of Nemo. Glad Lara u OK. NM - still waiting to hear from you.
Lori - Glad DH will live...LOL. But seriously...men bad pts but we lub dem jes da same. Dat snowman DOTD sooo coot but I'll stick wif the Snow Globe w/o da snowman. I'll jes portend he's in der. Really not fond of marshmallows. Even at Easter wif da PeePs yellow chicks...yuk...gag...ick! Heather PM'd me about a week ago...sed the commercial was 'still airing'. Sooo I dunno.
Dorfy - sed more prayers dis ayem...hope sis and nephew got dad in OK. I think nephew was gonna drive dads car and sis fly wif dad? Did he get in OK with no car probs?
-
Morning Cami - u'll get the Avast figured out. My ayem brain no goot in da morning either. But is it Sa-TURD-Dey...how da D going?

Good morning, Loungettes! Snowing a blizzard here, but I'm snug as a bug in a rug and happy to not be going anywhere. I'm listening to the scanner, they're dispatching plow trucks with ambulances and fire trucks 'cause they're getting stuck in the snow. The real storm started sometime in the night, we got some snow yesterday but it was just flurries.
Cammy--I'm with you, I'm content as long as I have coffee and something to read. Maybe this time people should have gotten more worked up. I'm listening to the scanner and there are cars, SUVs, and pickups getting stuck in the travel lane on the interstate and in the middle of roads and intersections all over. Someone's gonna get hurt before this is done.
Goldie--glad there's been no "evidence" of critters! I don't have a generator, I looked into it, but the reality is that when my power goes out it's rarely for more than a few hours. Even when it is out for longer the house stays safely, if not comfortably, warm. In a really long outage I would go to my Mom's place to keep and eye on her and her BF, and they have wood heat. So I haven't bothered with a generator. Someday, I probably will, but someday I would like to be off the grid all together, and that will take care of the issue once and for all anyway. YIKES for your DH, pneumonia is not fun! Codeine is fun, but not pneumonia!
Wahine--So far I'm doing just fine, listening to the wind howl, watching the snow fly. The local radar is showing this current stuff as "light to moderate" and I can barely see across the yard now! Gonna be interesting when the "heavy" stuff hits!
ORLA--Not sure how much I've gotten so far, it's light and fluffy and blowing all over. Got some really nice drifts, though!
DorKable--Hooray for the doctor release! That is proof of progress!
Mema--say Hi back to KittyKat for us! Hope that ad goes national. I'll check in periodically, but this time of year, with this kind of light fluffy snow, once the wind stops blowing things get cleared out pretty quickly. Right now visability and drifts are the big problem. If my power goes out today it will be back on by tomorrow at the latest, and I'm all set for that long without electricity. I'm hoping Warren doesn't end up with a lot of pain, and does bounce back quickliest! Oooh, neat pics of Warren's ankle, very fun to see!
-
I'm wif you on the marshmellow peeps Sue............YUCKO!
Snowing like a mo fo here!
Good morning Cami.
-
My bedroom window this morning:
There really is a house across the road, behind the trees. Just can't see it through the snow!
-
Holy chit Goldie I didn't see u on the weather, just watching for NM O great all this snow and it really missed us for shoa. But u guys sound good--so I'm relieved for that. Just stay in, well I think u'r forced to. Well as long as u have all u'r supplys u'll be fine. (likker, I mean)
Goldie how is u'r DH doing, is he starting to feel better yet?
OMG THE VACUUM-I think this machine has some kind of hold on them--they're possessed. Geeze. Sometimes I feel guilty that I don't do anything, I just keep my room OK and wash my own clothes--they never ask or even hint that I should do anything so I just close my door. LOL Oh well.
-
EWWW Lori and NM...snow snow snow. I feel for you both but glad you both be OK...and SAFE inside your homes.
NM - LOL ...only a nurse, or like my Warren (paramedic/emt) would think those breaks are 'fun' to look at...LOL.
It got almost to da freezing mark dis morning, but skies look like more rain for us. I don't kno if we're gonna chance walking today or not. OK with me either way. I feel a LAZY DAY is in store for me.
-
Glad you checked in NM, and the worst is yet to come???? Living off the grid def. has it's advantages for sure. But we do have a generator as back up. Occasionally we won't have enough sun to keep the batteries charged and will need to use the generator. Our biggest fear is the really bad windy days, or hail!!!
Yes Cami, we have snow, a couple inches. Couldn't see far either, just like NM's pictures. It has stopped now, but suppose to get more later, and it's really cold. DH doing a bit better today, will just take some time is all.
-
Oh Thank God you are okay NM! I was so worried (as everyone else here was, too)! Neat pics from inside your house...I showed my Maddy that and she said "wow". So very glad you still have power, as so many don't. Stay safe!!!
Well, my DH is sick as a dog....well sicker than a dog, really. Thought I would have to take him to the hosp in the middle of the night...or call 911. SInce I told him about your DH, Lori....now he thinks he must have pneumonia too. But with his heart condition, it is always a scare to get really sick. So he is in bed all day, I'm gonna take Maddy into "town" down the street....all street names are German, with "Strasse" instead of "Street". Fun. Just hope he gets better soon, so we can all enjoy it here!
Glad your peeps got in ok last night, Dorkie!!! AND that you didn't get too much snow.
Hugssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss to Y'all,
Kath

-
Oh shoot Kathy, I hope you both have cell phones so you can call and check in on him. Have fun with your GD today. And I hope he does not have pneumonia!
-
I bumped you Kat, sorry about that. Please tell your DH that I am praying that he feels better. What a trooper for even coming with you.
NM, so glad you checked in. I have been watching the storm coverage and not much mention of ME. Why does it have to be all about Bosten? getting tired of hearing about it since I do not know anyone from there. The pics, omg, the one of your bedroom window looks like the snow has drifted to the top of the window. Stay warm, drink plenty of likker and enjoy your day. SOOOO glad you do not have to go out. I enjoyed your story of the blizzard of 78. I remember going to my part time job. back then, no cell phones. My employer had called my house to tell me that the company closed but I had already left, it took me a few hours to make a 20 minute drive. I was pissed to get there and have to go back home. i can picture all of those people stranded. Cool that you have the scanner tingy to listen to all of the chaous. i got really lucky with the storm, it was supposed to snow all day here but the storm passed quicker and is out of here. The sun is shining brightly and the snow is melting. but it is cold and blustery outside. I am going to venture out to my hair appt at 1 pee em. The roads are managable.
Good morning to de rest of you lovely goils. I hope you all have a wonderfoil saturdey. Speaking of turds, uh nebbermind...hehe.
Love you all berry much. Hugs to all!
-
Kat u'r DH id gettin sicker? Geeze he should be better by now. Keep in touh with him and just let him rest. I hope he feels better very soon.
I am so glad everyone is safe, just stay that way.
Dork where will u'r dad stay, u'r furbabies are annoying him. I can understand that for him--he's not usd to all this and what's going on. So he prolly get aggitated easier.
Kat I'm glad u and u GD are enjoying u'r time with each other--that's so special.
And I have heard more about Boston the last 2 days more than anything--they must be in horror--I asked my SIL about Boston, cuz it seemed to me like a state, then I remembered it was actually MA--but Boston is hit hard and that's all they are talking about and the other things are mentioning the states so it just went in that direction of thought. Geeze it's a mess. Everyone u'r way NM is in a mess. Wow Mother Nature can be quite a Mother F*****. It's afternoon where u r so pour u'rself a relaxing drink--anything u grab will be relaxing.
-
