Sue, I love the colorin book story--these little ones are so much fun. U'r lucky. Glad u'r back safely and I'm sure u had a great time now u have to rest for the next trip---everyone is going someplace.
What a retirement--long time and it is u'r second family when u'r there that long. Good Luck to u'r SIL.Kat u'r going with u'r GD to NO wow what fun for her--she's not missing anything she's have a lot of fun. And why are all these DH sick now--? this has to stop. Take care of them girls-U have places to go, people to see--they have to be well.

OH Kat I don't remember any discs, in fact I didn't know this thing had a disc thingy till just the other day, and that joke is not far off cuz when I set mine up I had help over the phone and I litterally did word for word what the uy was telling me and at one point I remember he said move it to the right and I myyself moved to the right and then I asked why did I move to the right I can't reach anything. He was so nice He said OK move back and we'll start all over -I know now he meant that arrow thin, which BTW should be red so I can see it better so 'splainin' something to me is like trying to teach a 6 mo. old how to play Beetoven on the piano. I just don't get it, at all. I can see there are so many things I can do on here, but I don't have a clue.
I'm announcing that I took a shower today and washed a load if clothes--well I wash half loads so I can carry easier hahaha, and I VACUUMED my room with my little dirt devil--but the big vacuum was used again yesterday. I really like the word vacuum it's the only one that I know of that has 2 u's and I think it's fun to type.
Batten up the hatches NM and get u'r supplies--mainly alcohol, not rubbing kind either.
I love u girls always everyday--u'r all so nice I can slobber all over u.

Shoot....this approaching winter storm sounds awful...might be the worst in a century!!! You ALL take precautions, and let us know you are okay, puleez! Even Dotty may get those high winds, and snow too. Are your sis and dad flying back tomorrow from SC? OMG, I hope they can stay in SC till the storm has passed. Usually airlines let you cancel, as they will prolly cancel a lot of flights.
Very scary storm. NM, Dotty, and Lara are you in its path too? Anyone else? And here I was worried about getting rain for 3 solid days....but all that snow.....yikes!
Having a Seagrams/Diet right now...DH went back to bed, he still feels like a truck ran over him. Lori, how is your DH today? Hoping his dr visit went well. My dad was at the skin dr for an hr, he said he now has 8 stitches in his shoulder from the cancer that was cut out, plus had another biopsy done, and one that was frozen. We are keeping the skin drs kids in college! LOL. But I took advantage of the time I had to wait for my dad at the dr, and make a likker store run...2 big btls of Seagrams....yay!!

NM, wow wow wow and wow, dat a lot of snow. I hope you are planning on staying home tomorree. I remember the blizzard of 93 I tink, we got over 3 ft of snow. I can not begin to imagine more than all that snow. But I know you are prepared. I am jest hoping that we get rain as the temps are going to be above freezing. We do have a threat of snow tonight, tomoree morning and evening but we are not expecting much in accumulation as compared to up there. Check in when you can. I have always had a laugh at de names they come up with - there is Honey Boy Game, Little Feather, Sir Lancealot, dey are de ones that mese remember Stella talking about. But todey she said she saw one dat named himself ChristVejayan and he signed his name on an emal to me as Christ. Imagine an dude from India named Christ? Sumting wrong with that picture. lol. I, uh, mese means de Stella always git a kick out of dat and mese laughs when she tails me.
Lara, how you feeling goil? You should be feeling better soonliest. I am now over three months out from my last revision and that seems to be the time frame for me to notice that the pain has mostly gone away. I can finally go through a day without taking anything for pain. And my range of motion has really improved over the last few weeks. Hang in there baby, you will get there too. And soon, you will have purdy squishy n soft foobies and you will be in love with them. I have a hard time keeping my hands off of my one foob. It jest feels so good to squeeze it and rotate it. Todey, i decided that I could go by de name the uniboober hehe. The thought made me chuckle out loud. I thought of it whilst mese was walking from a conference room at work and touching mese one foob. Sure can't wait to have two....
Gotta go and scoot over to de pool for a swim. Den hit mese bed. I have a big dey tomorree, fwiedeys are tough at work. Oh, STella has an appt for a puka check. I bet she gonna skip work for an hour to play! And dwink, OF COURSE!

Hi Dorky I'm glad u got to post. U sound so tired tho, but I don't blame u--u'r doing lots, with lots on u'r mind..U'r dad will be here soon right? So I hope all goes well with u'r mom and dad, and u'r work is done so u don't have that to think about too. And good u'r not having the pain nymore, but u still have to clean that puka all the time---OUCH--Let Stella clean it if u can find her--she flitters all over the place, well she won't show up here cuz she has to work--I'll make her vacuum--she don't like dat.
U know when I was my kids ages in my early 40's I can never reember going to sleep before 11PM. I was on the phone or out drinkin or just hangin out--this house is quiet by 9PM I'm still up for jiminy sakes--what babies, actually I wish I could sleep like that now. LOL
OK I'll take my meds that forceme to sleep or I won't so as the world turns, I'm still staying up late, but it doesn't feel the same as when I'm in my 40's--somethings have changed-well lots has changed and not for the better. hehe

Good morning to you all. I have been quite busy so please forgive me for not catching up with all that has been going on.
I an currently on care support for my neighbour. Sadly, she has a serious flesh eating bacterial infection in her foot caused by an untreated ulcer. She is a bad diabetic and rather a large lady and this has brought on Neuropathy which affects the nerves therefore causing sensation loss.
Hopefully all the treatment will work otherwise the outcome could be rather grim.
I am going to England tomorrow spend sometime with brother, Liam.
Me and sis have arranged to go over to his flat for a clean up on monday. He threw a hissy fit - said we would be spying and going through his stuff. He is going to be with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, Loungettes! Looks like it's going to get interesting later today/tonight. I'm almost ready, the only thing I've got left to do is grinding some coffee beans so I can make coffee without electricity if necessary.
Goldie--yeah, those popups make things sound like the world will end if you don't get them, then you wish the world would end after you get stuck with it!
Cammy--I use Carbonite for my back up. It's online, and it's automatic. It's about $60 a year, but well worth it, for me anyway. When you worked for the state they probably had a system back up done automatically somewhere else. That's how the computer back up is handled by hospitals and my company. Wow, hard to think of Easter being here soon. Where is the year going?????
Mema--the "BOOYAAA" story has me chuckling! What a hoot! Jose working in a Chinese restaurant? Can't say they're discriminating! I figure I've got the best of both worlds, headlight wise. None to show, but got the full feeling anyway! Glad you're home and back in your own bed. You'll catch up on your sleep soon, I'm sure!
Wahine--Yeah, I'm gonna try to get home early, even though the real weather isn't supposed to be arriving until this evening. I'm seeing lots of schools closing early, and closing at midday today, so I'm keeping an eye out.
Cammy--I'm all stocked up, lotsa wine, some booze, this time of year it's only going to be a problem for a coupla days. Love watching everyone freaking out, though!

Wahine--yup, this is the fifth "storm of the century" in the last 5 years. Seems to be happening every year, and usually doesn't live up to the hype. But I'm ready, anyway.
DorKable--I am actually old enough to remember the blizzard of '78. I was a freshman in college, lived on the 3rd floor of a dorm, the snow drifted as high as my windows. The more adventerous (or idiotic) guys in the dorm went out on the roof and jumped into the drifts. That was the first time the University of Maine at Orono cancelled classes for an entire day in decades. Nowadays they close if someone even thinks it's going to snow. Things sure have changed!
BBBBernie--How kind of you to help your neighbor! I'ms ure she really appreciates it, and I am praying it all works for her. Enjoy your visit with your brother, and don't work too hard on the cleaning!

On the road again....leaving shortly even though DH is still sick (head cold?)....kept me up all night too. HE doesn't want to miss this time with our g'dau for anything. Should be a real fun trip, interesting town to be in, plus lots of things to do nearby, and I have crafts for her to do, plus movies.
NM, When that "Blizzard of '78" hit, I was in Michigan City, IN, verrrry close to Lake Michigan, and my youngest DD was just a couple of wks old....so was hard to get formula, etc. The snow was so deep, and the drifts, oh my. I remember the men on the street got together and tried to shovel out all the driveways, and they had to walk to the nearest store for supplies. I didn't mind at all that my girls and I moved South at the end of that year (divorce), as I sure didn't like those winters up there! We used to get "lake effect snow" too, so it seemed very cold and brutal to an islander like me!
PLEASE stay safe, NM, Lara, Dotty.....I think NM is supposed to get the worst of the storm, haven't seen the news this ayem though. I'll be thinking of all of you!!!
