OMG, the writing is so little. This is hard for this old fart to figure out....lol.... I am so confused. Rosemarie you seem to have it figured out. Good for you......Not sure I am going to like this.
-
OMG, I did it, I got my picture back on........I guess I'm not as dumb as I thought.......lol
-
How do I get rid of the (Edit) at the bottom?
-
Ok.....I cannot see how to get to the last page. Is any body else having to start at page one???
-
My post ended up on page one???
This is a terrible new set up and I can't figure out how to change my user name!!!!!
-
I also had to choose a new avatar since I CAN'T FIND MY OTHER ONE!!!!
-
OK, HOW DO I CHANGE MY NAME BACK TO ROCKTOBERMOM?????
-
Kelly, Your guess is as good as mine......really ****ed up. I was able to change my password because they gave me some really strange one that I would never remember but not sure about the name. I am able to get on the last page from the arrow on my browser but if you go into the site your right you can't get to the last page unless you click on the last page #. It automatically brings you to first page when you sign on. I hope in time we will be able to figure this out.
-
Ok, I hope they straighten out all the bugs soon - very frustrating to get the "page not found" message time and time again!
Kelly, I looked too and there doesn't appear to be a way to change user name - I hope they can help you!!
Debbie - with all the "excitement" from the last day or two I can't remember if I responded to your post or not - so glad you're home safely!! What a trip!!! How did you like Conner Prairie Museum? It's one of my favorite places. They also do a "Symphony on the Prairie" there that is supposed to be awesome.
Tracy - have fun in Reno!
Have a great day ladies!!
-
I hate having to go to the first page everytime and not being able to set my browzer to view more posts per page. And do we reallly want to see sherry's first post up on top of every single page for the rest of our lives? LOL
-
Where's my avatar? And why is LauraV showing up instead of LauraGTO? I'm sure they'll work it all out...we just have to be patient.
-
I'n not thrilled with this set up also. One good thing is that the pages load up faster for me. Yes, you have to hit the last page number to get to the current conversation. I guess they have the first post at the top of each page so we remember what we're talking about. Like we could forget . . . LOL!!!
-
Okay - I had to go to my home page and edit my information to get my avatar back and my signature. I'm trying to understand how to change this font. We'll see if it comes out too large or not.
-
I still wish we could just come to the desired page instead of having to see page one of this thread each time.
Laura, they've eliminated the capability to change your user name on your own. I think you have to pm them or email them. At least Fumi found my avatar!!
-
avatar's were all missing a minute ago on my computer but now they are back on. Hey Mary, I am typing in big print maybe it is because I clicked on add a comment instead of going to the bottom. That was way too small to read what you were typing even for me.........
-
the edit is still on the bottom of my post. Was I supposed to edit it first?
OK, I am on the bottom and they must have changed the font this is big too......Much nicer.
-
OK, I tried pressing the Edit and look what showed up on my post. I notice they made the pages longer only 344 now opposed to 3044 or whatever it was.
-
Gail, I put a suggestion that they give us a choice as to whether to mark as edited or not. Although, who really cares if it shows up or not. I was on a board before and EVERTIME you edited, it showed the date and time each time you edited!!!! So, if you edited your post 4 times (for spelling, grammar, etc) you looked like a real ditz!!!
-
Laura, I noticed if you are logged out the avatar's don't show up. It won't remember me either. I have to put my password in everytime I get on here.......
-
After the board changed, you have to re-upload your avatar.
-
That's right, Roctober mom, you do have to upload your avatar again. Do it on your home page. I was able to change my screen name at that place also.
-
I just checked again, you can change your screen name on your home page, under the my profiles section. You screen name is the one that is displayed publicly. You just need to edit the profile. You can also upload any avatar for yourself.
-
Ok RocktoberMom - Mary's right - they have added a "change" button next to the user name under your profile.
Kiersten is watching me type - saw the multiple choice form for dx (also on your home page/profile) and asked if I was taking a test on here! Lol
I would fail the test regarding these boards right now!!
Also, I re-added "Rocktober Girls" to my favorites and so far it brings me back to the last page and is keeping me logged on. (btw)
-
Hi sisters,
<> Still trying to figure out the new style of this board, at least I managed to get my user name and avtar back up!
<> Does anyone know how to change the size of the typing in the box that you type in....its huge...I know I need my glasses changed but the print doesnt need to be that big.LOL.
<> Love
Michele
-
oh boy... finally managed to log in!!!
hmmm not too impressed with the new formats.. but there must be some improvements, right? otherwise why would they do this?
ok looks like my avatar is lost... bugger
-
I was wrong - (can you tell my dh is out of town...)I just checked again - the page I saved still brings me to the last page but does NOT keep me logged on.
We'll get the hang of all this - hopefully you're right Paula - hope the improvements are bigger than the issues!
-
Change for the sake of change - stinks! But change for the better is good! So...I hope things get better here! I would hate to be one of the people working on this mess! LOL I just hope they figure it out VERY SOON.
-
Michele, here's the tutorial for how to change the font sizes on your browser. Hope this helps!

Happy Saturday my sisters!
Getting used to the board, change is hard. The one thing I dislike is that the topics are hard to find, everything kind of blends together. I think the old board the topics had some colour to them?
I am still waiting to hear back from my oncologist's office when my appt is with the surgeon to discuss getting my ovaries removed, hopefully they will call me next week.
What a crazy busy week it was at work, my boss is still off sick and I am trying to tackle both jobs, yikes!! I had to make a disciplinary decision and did what I thought was right based on the facts and prior warnings in the employee's file. My boss called me on Friday and I briefed her on what happened and she agreed with the decision that was made.
The people that bought our house came by on Friday for an hour with a contractor and their agent to get a quote to do some work, maybe "redoing stairs", basement, dont know. I think they also came to check that the mortaring was done on the side of the house as per our agreement. Their agent left a note saying that everything was fine meaning they are okay with the job that my dh did on the side of the chimney. Hopefully they wont come back for the one more visit that they are entitled to as I so hate really cleaning the house right now if you know what I mean!
Today was a beautiful sunny gorgeous day, packed a few boxes, then had a snooze, took dogs for a walk and then went to see a movie "Mr. Bean on Holiday". I so love I think it is "Rown Atkinson", the facial expressions are priceless.LOL.
Tonight I am kicking back, doing laundry and probably going to bed early as I am tired.
Tomorrow afternoon when my dh gets back from the trailer we will go and pick up our sectional that we bought. My dh will put it in the storage unit on Monday. We then have to look for a king size box spring and mattress before we move into our new house too. Our new bedroom furniture was ordered today and will take a few weeks before its ready as it is pine.Debbie444 - can I call you Debbie and then I will call "Ravdeb" Deb as 444 on the end seems way too formal now. Did you post your pictures on snapfish? I hope that Mark's black eye is gone and that your bump on your head is too!
Deb - I hope that your travels in the U.S. are going well and that you enjoyed your trip to Florida.
Rosemarie - how did get onto snap fish again for the pictures? Where is your dh off to now? Your daughter is so cute, kids seem to notice everything....
Kelly - your login name can be changed, it is now the same as your screen name...so I think if you go back into "my profile" there should be an edit link to change your name back.
Paula - you are a brave soul coming to the U.S. again so soon but I guess you can get cheap flights as you work for the airline.
TracyNy - I am happy that you are all moved in and you can now take it a little easier.
Maryanne - hopefully you are just busy with paddling and work. I keep forgetting to ask my mom about Alice Gallant and to find out whether or not we may be related? Wouldnt that be cool?
Fumi - thanks for the link, I am so not computer savy.LOL.
Laura - how is your sister? I see that you got your avtar changed back to your old screen name. I dont eny the people running this website, its gotta be a lot of work and we get access here for nothing!
Amy - havent heard from you in awhile. Kelby must be keeping you hopping.
Cindy - how are you feeling? Get your bike up to par as I think that you will soon be riding it again just like in your dreams. Courage and strength have a new meaning when it comes to you sister....
Cathy - miss on the boards, hope you are doing okay?
Mary - I notice that you changed your avtar to the "cheetah picture".
Brenda - how is school going? See my lips are still sealed and I havent repeated your famous one liner...ha ha:)
Gracyie - say hi to Ki Ki. She is a funny gal and so full of life. I really enjoyed meeting her.
Tracyseattle - hope you enjoyed your Reno trip!
Have a great Saturday evening ladies.
Love you all
Michele

Just saying "hello" to everyone. Had my 16th wedding anniversary Friday so hubby and I are just spending time together this weekend.
Got some sad news yesterday. A young man from my church family started college last week in Provo, Utah and Thursday night was found dead in his dorm room. The person who informed me did not know the reason why. He was the youngest son of a much respected member of our congregation. This young man's mother died some years ago and the father had raised him alone. The woman was this father's second wife. He had buried his first wife after having a family of 6 kids with her. Those kids were all older and pretty much out of the house before this man married the second wife and had this younger son with her. So, now this gentleman has lost both his wives and his youngest son. It is really sad. I taught this young fellow in a Sunday School class a few years ago and he was very bright and musically talented. So once again, we're having a funeral in our church for a young person who has died much too soon.
Tomorrow, they are having a special meeting for the youth of the church because, of course, many of them knew him well. But, the younger girls in the class that I teach probably did not know him as well, being 5 or 6 years younger, so I will be teaching my usual class. The topic is about communicating with God through prayer. A timely topic, as it turns out.
It's great to read one of your thoughtful messages, Michele. I'm always impressed with how you care about each of us.
best wishes and prayers for all of you,
