me too...

RoseMarie -
I did the same thing! I thought that just by signing up at the gym - the Tamoxifen butt would go away. I didn't know I actually had to go there and work out! OMG - LOL
Laura
(I think I'd rather have a big ol' butt than go there! I did really well for a while. I worked with a personal trainer and that helped. But I really didn't feel like putting his kids through college! Yikes...it got expensive. And it gets me mad that as soon as you stop working out, everything goes south! It takes months and months for the little itsiest, bitsiest thing to go north and then one week of not working out and everything is back south again. Help! LOL) -
Had a quiet weekend.
Have been reading all of your exploits but had nothing earth shattering to share so... stayed silent. Not like me, I know.
Victoria, you are being mysterious...hope it is something wildly exciting not horribly devastating. I know you were due to see onc and review your recent bloods. hope all went well.
Kelly, Teryn looks so proud of her loss. She is at such a sweet age. I tried to break it to Patrick last year( he was 12 but has Special needs) that I was the tooth fairy. He began to cry immediately and emphatically did not believe me because as he said, "you can't be the Tooth Fairy, you DON'T have wings". LOL. Needless to say, I took it back and the Tooth Fairy has returned to our house. Oh well only two more teeth to go.
Paula I have no problem with you joining Tracy and me as long as I get my own bed! I agree, your hair site is so helpful, I loved it last year as you were 2-3 months ahead of me. I finished chemo end of March.
I have heard about that Book idea Debbie but have never seen one in my community. Cool concept.
To all you other Cold People it is ccccold in Eastern Canada too. Our wind chill is at -35c.BRRRR. I try not to go out too much.
Linny, hope Isaac sails through his implant and it helps his speech. My son was nonverbal until he was 4 1/2, it was hard. I had to learn rudimentary sign language along with him. He did not have hearing problems, more learning problems and apraxia. Once he mastered speech it was like a miracle. I was amazed at how much he remembered of his preverbal days( trips and such). I have also offered him to the surgeons on a couple of occasions, always a hard thing to do. Children look so innocent, it doesn't seem fair that they have to face hardship. I will be thinking of him on Wednesday.
Deb your DD looks just like you,is she a professional dancer or is that a hobby? All this talk of Broccoli...I do eat eat but not regularly, am er- so can't feel guilty. Good.
Laura, I had a bichon frise, years ago, she looks almost identical to BL, are they related breeds? Glad to see her torture, tied up and sheared is over.LOL. You are right with thosebutton black eyes no hair cut would look bad. And hey, cool it with the big thoughts. You look like you weigh 115, soaking wet, hardly a weight problem. Honestly you have th body of a teen! You look great.
Michelle, am jealous of your snuggle with your husband. I ahd to buy a heating pad this week, a lot cheaper than flying my husband home. Oh well, two mor weeks til I go to Switzerland, can't wait.
Hi to Mary, Brenda,Cindy,TracyNY,Cathy and Scottish lass. And yeah, where is Sherryhaire? Do we have to send out a search party?
Fists up! -
My followup tests are on Wednesday and I am starting to feel the jitters already .
Deb We had another winter blast today, windy and cold, cold and snowy, icy roads. The drive home was a treat, it took me an 1 ½ hours. I passed on car in the ditch head first into the snowbank, guy was beside it talking on his cellphone probably calling for someone to tow him out. I pmd Laura with the info re preference downtown versus Lincolnshire. I have to go out and buy some pomegrantes if they are even in season here now but have to wear a big bib as I will probably wear it on my clothes!
Victoria I am trying to get and walk even with this cold weather. On the weekend I bundled up like an Eskimo and took out the pups for an hour walk both Saturday and Sunday despite the cold. Scooby had her little winter coat on, she is soo cute and doesnt fight me anymore to put it on as she now realizes it means walk.
Laura Buddy Love is a sweetie. She is cute despite the hairloss! Your pictures of you bundled up look like me yesterday. Although you look more like a bank robber! I dont see any fat on you, omg you are so tiny .
Kelly how warm is it today or should I ask?
TracyNy I wish we had that system in place here for jury duty. If you get the notice to go you have to show up everyday in the court room for at least a week if not longer until your name is called. I have been lucky and havent been the chosen one as far as jury duty but everyone else in my family has including my hubby.
Rosemarie is that 20F windchill or celcius?
Cindy Yes it is cold here too, thankfully it is February, where is spring?
TracySeattle thankfully you were not dumped in the freezing cold when the bus broke down, what a way to start Monday.
Graycie I laughed so hard when I saw your cheetah wear, too funny . That table is so different looking. It certainly would be a conversation piece.
Debbie444 what is a Debbie bus?
Paula your stir fry sounds yummy. Pass some warm weather this way, will you?
Take care ladies, have a super night.
Hi to all my sisters.
Michele Wenz -
Paula! YES! you are more than welcome to join Mary Anne and I in our room - but I must let you all know that I snore sometimes..... If that bothers either of you, I can deal with it and I will get my own room!
I think the more per room the better! It is more fun that way! -
SNORING!!!!!!!!!!!Now you tell me...LOL.LOL. I am used to snoring, both my DH have been snorers. We can always put YOU in the bathtub.

OMG - I went hunting and found a book in my nieces town! The "wild" thing is that her town is really small! And the place it was left at is right across the road from her house! The title of the book is:
While My Pretty One Sleeps by Mary Higgins Clark
I just e-mailed her and told her to run over there and rescue the lonely book! No doubt, she must think her Auntie has lost her mind! I hope she's home...
maryanne -
Your darling little boy just hasn't seen your wings yet...they are there! Bichons are really cute! My friend Kurt has 3 of them and when he walks them all together - he says they're a great chick magnet! As for sherry - I sent her a birthday card and told her we understood if she just wanted to move on, but asked her to give us a sign - post a quick note - or whatever...haven't heard anything yet! I am really concerned that something has happened...bc related or not, I really do. Thanks for the compliment, but until recently, I thought I had been spared the "big butt gene" that's common in my family, but noooooooooooooooooooooo... I'm lucky that I can blame it on Tamox and genetics! It's not so obvious in clothing, but when I tried on my bathing suit last week, I almost had a heart attack! OMG LOL
Laura -
I checked out the book site - there is a book at the Starbucks right across from my bus stop! I am going to go search it out tomorrow morning! FUN - It is like a treasure hunt - what will these internet people think of next!!!
-
Have you explored with www.geocaching.com . I did this a few years back. It is a lot of fun for people that like to hike or even visit the sites of your towns.
My CA15-3 is still in the normal range but slowly rising(15, 16, now 18)...or is it within the range or error...or is it useless anyway or should we be obsessing? I don't know, all I know is I feel ready for whatever happens.
I may seem together but am often kind of numb. I feel afraid to believe that I will beat this. Like I once told you I feel like I am walking on the edge of a steep cliff-if I am careful I will get to safer ground and walk more freely, eventually. If I let my guard down, bam!But you know time is passing, this summer we will all be at the two year mark, unbelievable. I have had some wonderful scenic walks along the edges of many cliffs, And I do hope I get to safer ground this time too.

Love the pic Laura and Graycie I want one of those tables too.

Victoria, my tumor had some "good features". I had a bloomfield of 7/9, only 2 positive nodes. Also the pathologist felt it had some mucinous features although it was not mucinous, per se. What scared me most was how fast it took over. I examine breasts for a living and this was just noticeable and then it grew and grew. That actually comforts me a bit as I figure if anything was still lurking I would have noticed it by now, wishful maybe, but a good thought. The final comment of the pathologist was" the size of the tumor is difficult to assess, as the tumor has infiltrated existing breast parenchyma, rather than necessarily replacing it, as seen in the usual carcinoma. However, All of the breast samples submitted are involved AND there is no dominant mass. Tumor size=9cm" And you know that is how it felt, as I could feel it take over the tissue. It would ache and throb. Maybe the fact that it grew quickly gave me an advantage as it was impossible not to notice it. I had very few nodes involved ,considering the size of it.
Anyway, who knows what will be? I sure as heck don't.

Victoria -
You have a good eye!
maryanne -
LOVE the b-suit! Isn't it funny how we all have animal print items! Great photo, you two look great!
----------------------------------------------
Everyone -
Hard to believe we were all bald last year at this time! I just have to believe in my heart of hearts that we are all going to be just fine! You know...that is not impossible.
AND -
My niece just called - she ran over to the place by her house where a lonely "wild" book was left. It was closed, so she said she pushed her nose up to the window and couldn't see the book. She's going back in the morning - when they open - and check further. She's totally siked about this and wants to leave a book of her own somewhere. Roy and I are going to leave a book in MX. Debbie - thanks for sharing this! So fun!
Laura -
Cool Victoria. I have never looked at my slides. Heck I haven't even looked at my rads tests. Like Fitztwins would say"it is all a crap shoot". Even the most favourable of outlooks can progress and often enough us stage three-ers don't. Enough to give me hope and let me sleep at night. LOL.
My DH is a brute, 6'5 " and 240pound( about 20 over). That makes him over a foot taller and twice as heavy.
Anyway, I must rest, tomorrow is another day.
Fists up! -
OMG - I hope the book is there! Sometimes i think people find them and dont register it straight away - i looked at one in my town but it wasnt there - probably on a church jumble saile or something by now!!
I feel rather thick - i will admit to understanding very little of what Maryanne wrote must gen up sometime.
Laura - sussed- i have been worked out, second guessed etc.
Debbie bus - any bus that sets on fire, hits something, rolls over etc!! Roger rally car set on fire once - madse a spectacular video clip!!
Debbie -
Just totally enjoying and laughing over here while I read all your posts. There are always lots of them and hard to keep up by the time I wake in the morning. You have all been chattering away after I leave the computer for the night!
Love the pictures.
Laura..you are tooooooooooooooo funny!
Mary-Anne..your dh is so terrific looking. He looks nice and I bet you can snuggle up really good with him. I know you don't get to do that enough. How fun to go overseas to see him. That is romantic.
I like your take on the whole bc thing. The cliff, the scenery.. I like that.
victoria..we are so much alike in so many ways...I write poetry similar to the way you do...free and melodic. I taught a small group of native English speakers here..5th and 6th graders..and I taught them different kinds of poetry as this is my favorite kind of writing..and in the end, after I had taught them rules for all different kinds of poetry, I then told them to throw out the rules like teens so love to do..and write because the words sound good and not because they rhyme or have a certain number of syllables. And..I got the most beautiful work back from them.
I wrote a poem for the Rocktober Girls which you will all be getting one day...the poem is done..the rest of the packaging is not...
And..Victoria..I do hope all is well with you. I wanted to also add that your pic of looking at the slides..that is something, that if given the chance, I would do as well. I always need to see it for myself, read about it, learn it, understand it and even analyze it..no matter what "it" is. My psychologist I used to see told me this is sometimes not a good thing because I get angry if I don't know everything..if people don't tell me things. hmmmmmm....
I love the book hunting thing and there are books in Israel..all over the place! I'm going to look at it closer and see if I can go on the book hunt. That is so cool!
I'm reading a lovely book by Amos Oz, an Israeli author. Reading it in English of course. I have only just begun it but should have read this long ago..all about how his family, during the British mandate here, immigrated to Israel and all the cultural differences and so on..it's fascinating.
Victoria..post a new photo. Wanna see your new hair cut.
I know I'm missing out here on other posts..there were lots.
I don't care how many people will be in our room and I can also sleep on a cot. I will even share a bed with somebody if that would enable more to be in our room. I'm totally flexible.
And..Laura..you are tiny so even if your bum got bigger, it's still tiny..it's all relative.
I was cleaning out another part of my closet and found some pants from a few years ago. I tried them on. They do NOT go on! I'm so MAD! I mean..they were tight before but I've gained and I am NOT happy about that. I am really watching myself now. I walk less because of the rain here..it is just so bad these days. I can only get out for maybe 10 minutes and then it starts raining again. On and off..yuck! I hate rain and I'm aching all over. Stiff as a board. YUCK! But, I AM getting a lot of stuff done in the house, so that's a good thing.
Be well, Ladies. -
Wishing you the best day ever!!!
-
Happy Birthday Debbie, celebrate, enjoy but remember to wear your crash helmet if participating in outside activities!
Your bc sister
Michele -
Happy Birthday Deb!
you must be an Aquarius like me! -
grrrr....I just lost the post I wrote. Anyway I want to wish Debbie a Happy Birthday before I go to work. I'm sorry, your card will probably be late. I mailed it last week but forgot about how long it takes to get to England. Paula, I hope your's make it in time.
Laura, We are truly separated at birth. I love the cheetah get-up. I think we are twins.......
I will have to read the rest of the post's when I get home. We are still having whiteout's unfortunately I have to venture out since I blew work off yesterday. I hope I make it.
Graycie -

DEBBIE - HAVE A FABULOUS DAY!!!
I stopped in a Starbucks today in search of one of our books that have been set free, but I didn't see it. I really wanted to find the first one that I looked for!

Woo-hoo! It worked!
Today is warmer. Right now (around 11 a.m.), it's 2 below zero with a wind chill of minus 21. But it's snowing like crazy! It's really pretty, like we're inside a snow globe. -
cindy -
Compared to yesterday - today must feel like a heat wave! Great photo, are you going to build a snowman?
