Dear Deb,
I have pm ed you with the procedure I went throgh to get the fluid for testing. Tender has explained it well too. Pl. follow dr. instructions and stay still. I close my eyes and pray in my mind for strength.
Also after the produre, pl. remember to rest flat (no pillow under you head or legs for at leat two hours and dring caffenated fluid to avoid major mheadache later. Canned double expresso from starbucks, choco milshake, soda etc. help. At night you may need a sleeping pill. Talk to the dr.
It will all work out. You are in mhy prayers for the best results. You can do this.

Dear Heavenly Creator, I raise up our dear slonedeb to you this morning. I'm asking for your direct intervention in our Kentucky Deb's story today..... be with her as she walks into a situation that frightens her. Calm her with your presence. Be with her medical team so that they can assure her of their competence and knowledge for this procedure today. Be with her family as they hold her up and walk beside her. Breathe calm into her heart. Breathe acceptance into her head. Assure her that you are with her thru all of these challenges and want only the best for your own, dear child.
Please be with all today who face the unknown. Strengthen each for the journey they face. Watch over and protect our dear friends here. Show your mercy and compassion. Reach out and touch those we've come to care about, thru the friendships established here.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY, SLONEDEB!!
You just keep taking one step after the other. Another holiday to celebrate, even if it needs to be a quiet celebration.
Reflect on all that's important to you...... all of the blessings of our country. I'll light a little sparkler with your name on it.

sleep well my dear sister............ we were so tickled to see 'genuine' fireworks right over top of the neighbor's roof. fun, fun, fun, fun!!
Couldn't have had a better view.
Thinking of you all day and sending you strength and healing from this last procedure. When do you expect to learn anything from the spinal tap? Did they give you an estimation of how long it would take to get testing complete?

Faith is on my mind. Faith you will handle these days of unknown and fear. Faith that your womanhood remains so seen by that look in your eye, the sound in your voice, the example you reveal of pride in your family and love for them each day. Your touch and embrace for those who receive, your support of their well being. Faith that your test is clear.Tender
-
Deb when will you hear from your results? It is cloudy here today so maybe we will get rain. It is so dry here. Hoping you got to get out this weekend. I have my two granddaughters for the weekend so they keep me busy ....lol My grandson stayed with his mom and dad. He is good when he gets away from them but will throw a fit till you get him busy. He is only 2. Sending hugs and prayers your way......
-
Hello sweet deb...I am SOOOO glad your tap is done. It is great news that the fluid looked clear, I will pray the test is all B9.
If you still have a headache try caffeine, lots and lots of it. It one of the things that really helps a headache from a spinal tap. Also, I wanted to make sure you knew that if the pain does not go away, call you doc. There is a simple procedure they can do at the hospital called a blood patch that will get rid of the headache. The pain is caused by the fluid leaking from the spot they put the needle. To do a blood patch, they just draw a tiny bit of your bolld, inject it in the same area and it patches the hole.....just FYI in case. I hope by now tha pain is gone.
B ig hugs and lots of prayers.

Joining in on congratulations for thirty-four years!Best to you both,Tender

WOWOWOWOWOW. Tremendous and wonderful to have such a fantastic event to celebrate, slonedeb. I am so happy for you to have reached this milestone. Tremendous. Fantastic.
Your dear sweet hubby deserves a very special award for standing by you through all of the ups and downs. Give him a hug from me, for taking such good care of you.
I'm glad that you got to peek at "our" babies. They are as sweet as they can be.
Slonedeb. This week I have a major committment -- to provide 13 library, family concerts across a large library system a couple of hours up the road. I've just decided to get a hotel room for the nights & not drive back and forth. With the price of gas, it's probably just about the same.
In any case, they say that I'll have internet connection where I'm staying, but if I'm not quite as available as usual, you'll know why. It's an exhausting effort, but a lot of fun. I'll be thinking of you all the time.
congratulations on your anniversary. I'll go to sleep tonight with a smile on my face!

Just checking in, Deb. I'm sorry you're in pain, and discomfort. It's not an easy road you walk, Deb, and our wishes are from the very bottom of our hearts for strength and minimal discomfort on your journey. This new chemo may do you well in a couple of days, so try to stay in the moment with us, by posting your updates, and sharing your moods. We're all saddened by the news on Stephanie (triple neg); hospice can rally round in a releasing way, and I believe Stephanie's faith is such she will deal well with the concentrated care, allowing her time with her family.I'm glad you posted,Deb. I so look forward to reading your sweet southern voice and writing style. I'm happy you make such effort on our behalf: it takes concerted effort. I wish you now a peaceful rest, with less pain tomorrow. May moon dust twinkle, allowing some sleep, may the Southern wind gently sway your trees, may the air smell fresh as a summer's breeze, may you feel our presence, sitting quietly at your knees.Your sister in faith, tender

slonedeb........ you are such an incredible woman to be thinking of others -- while in the midst of your own pain and unknowns. I am praying for our Stephanie/tripneg, and asking for divine intervention and miracles beyond our understanding.
there are so many who are hurting.
please know that we will always carry you in our hearts...... i echo tender's thoughts of gratitude -- that you take the energy that you have to communicate with us. it really means the world.
prayers as i drift off to sleep, that you can rest deeply.

Deb, you have been in my prayers regularly over the past few weeks. Know that we are thinking of you and praying for you to be able to rest comfortably. All these dear souls we meet here, we'll have to get to know much better in eternity. God bless you and may He be with you in a very real way. Congratulations on your 34th wedding anniversary, that's a lot of loving and honoring to get to this point. May you get some peaceful sleep.
-
Hey Deb - I had my chemo today too, so I'm curled up with my blankie reading everyone's posts. I want you to know that my whole church is praying for you. We are also praying for Steph. God has plans for all of us. Some day we will all understand.
My hope is that the swelling in your liver is caused by chemo killing LOTS of cancer cells! That really can happen....as the cancer cells die, they cause pain and swelling. It is caused tumor bloom. Just imagine the Little cancer cells dieing by the hundreds...
Sending you lots of hugs and prayers
