Wishes for Slonedeb

Hello Deb,
I watched a speaker on tv tonight. He told about reasons GOD does heal.I was trying to write them all down missed one. Spoke of faith in believing he still heals not just in the Bible. The love of GOD. Matthew 14:14 And Jesus went forth and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them and healed there sick. Deb he loves us just as he loved them. You know he has the power to heal. In his time. Deb I think of you and continue to keep you in prayer along with our other bc sisters. I try to remember as many as I can to call out in name. You are a fighter and inspiration to me and others. GOD bless....

KBug keep us all focused on that heavenly compassion. There is healing and hope and I pray that our slonedeb has the opportunity to "know" that healing here -- yet among us.
slonedeb: reread all that Tender wrote yesterday about getting your ducks in a row and speaking with clarity regarding your needs and fears.
much love to you as you venture forward into the unknown.

slonedeb: sending you a soft summer breeze of goodness and energy.....
today was twins to the pediatrician day for all of their shots -- i just hated it, but they managed just fine: one great big huge scream fest and then settled right back down ok.
know that i am always asking the heavens for your relief..... from the pain, the uncertainty, the many unknowns, the fear, the frustration with your own kids, the side effects that present themselves.
you are fighting such an uplifting battle, deb. you're giving it everything you possibly can -- and that is an inspiration to so many. know that we're proud of you and we'll always remember how you stayed firm in your faith -- despite the agonies. you are a witness to lots who gather here. know that your own mama is so very proud of all the dignity that you've displayed in the heat of this battle.
dear Jesus, filled with compassion for those who suffer..... please enter personally into our slonedeb's journey. carry her with your mercy. reign over her pain. direct her medical team. enter her children with direction. sustain her dear husband. bless her sweet neighbor. hold her heart in your hands. allow her to rest deeply in the knowledge that you are aware of her suffering and that you care -- beyond our own understanding.
i ask that angels surround our slonedeb in this time of turmoil and fear.... hold her up in every way we haven't thought of, so that each day brings some appreciation for the goodness which does surround us -- even in the dark of the storm. please be with each of the sisters who carries slonedeb in their heart, offering encouragement and sustenance in our own faith journeys.
tho my words are that of a child, know that my requests for deb are that of a friend.

Thunder, lightening and rain seem to be so very present of late here. Is it this way for you too, Deb, or am I alone in noticing the rain? Times like this can be hard on the soul, wear one out from the darkness, make one feel like mold is present where usually the four walls of life are clean. You need not think you are not surrounded with anything but great love and devotion, Deb. For in truth, a light does shine on you, held steadily by all who empathize with your fears, your pain, your calls. Even in your absence, you rest lightly on my mind: you bring a smile, a nod, an arm around your shoulder when you might not be looking. Just so you know...You have thanked us often and clearly, Deb. I am most grateful for your showing of response, of your kindness in the rainstorm and always admirable of your faith and patience in life.A good night to you and yours, dear Deb.Tender

slonedeb: a new day beckons. what will it bring? are there daisies blooming near by? can you watch a goldfinch dart past? what do the skies herold today? how about some cold sweet melon? a crisp glass of lemonade? will you hear from your grandchildren? do you have some new knock knock jokes for their entertainment?
yesterday i watched our two year old toddler-grandson, marvel forever over some grass growing between the crack of the sidewalk and the ants visiting there...... it reminded me to look at the world thru his eyes of wonder.
it is a blessing that we are offered the opportunity to live here amidst the splendor of this world.
i pray that you'll find comfort in the words of your friends here. you are never alone.

Good to see your response here. You have been in my prayers too. Did the dr. start you on decadron/dexamethasone? This steriod reduces tthe swelling in and around the brain. If not, pl. check with the docs tomorrow.
I understand this is all scary but God is watching over us with all the prayers for you. Take rest.
Hugs.

Here's a prayer for you Deb.... God is able, stephanie
Dear Lord,
You know Deb so much better than I do. You know her sickness and the burden she carries. You also know her heart. Lord, I ask you to be with my friend now, working in her life. Let your will be done in my friend's life. Lord, I pray for my friend because your Word says I should pray for her healing. I believe you hear this earnest prayer from my heart and that it is powerful because of your promise. I have faith in you to heal my friend, but I also trust in the plan you have for her life. Lord, I don't always understand your ways, and why my friend has to suffer, but we trust you. I ask that you look with mercy and grace toward my friend. Nourish her spirit and soul in this time of suffering and comfort her with your presence. Let my friend know you are there with her through this difficulty. And may you be glorified in her life and also in mine.
Amen -
slonedeb: what a glorious morning, to come to your thread and see even MORE voices raised in prayer for you, on your behalf. you must realize how you've touched so many here. how many are following your journey -- with prayers and blessings and wishes.
so many have good ideas and suggestions.
i can't even begin to imagine how you are holding up in the face of so much, dear deb. know that God wants only the best for you. you are so strong dear friend. you show us that every day -- as you continue to cling to life.
our prayers will continue on your behalf: for your strength and determination, for your dear Jacky and for your children and grandchildren. do all you can to say the significant things to one another every day...... a good idea for each of us, whatever the details of our days.
xx00xx00xx00xx00xx00xx

Hello Deb. Pray it was a good day for you and you have a restful night. I have been listening to alot of preaching on tv a healing crusade. Made me think alot of what was taught about reasons we are healed and not. I know I need to be more forgiving of wrongs done to me. I don't want anything to hinder me from more blessings. He spoke of faith alot . You know Deb we need to always stay strong in faith. We are human so we lack at times. But will continue to lift all up in prayer. As long as there is breath there is hope. WE ARE BLESSED NOT CURSED... So lift your hands and praise our GOD. Praise him in this storm. I love you and all our dear sisters here. so keep the faith. GOD BLESS.....
-
slonedeb here's a little verse that i hope will bring you a little bit of comfort for this morning:
"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." -- Romans 8:18
I am so sorry that you have had such suffering. I can only imagine what glory lies ahead for you.
know that I am continually asking the angels to grant you mercy.

hi faith cant seem to sleep worried about the spinal tap tomorrow wondering how bad its goinf to hurt ive never had nothing like it done before i just hope it comes back ok and there isnt any cancer cells in there keep me in your prayers love deb from ky

I know you're afraid of a spinal tap, Deb; even the name of it sounds scary to you and me alike. I had a similar procedure, epidural anesthesia and the epidural is one space up from the spinal space.Amazingly, our moms in past years used "spinals" as they were called for pain relief during childbirth with great results. Often, they would sit up on the edge of the bed in a crunched forward, spine extended position, the doc would numb the skin, and then after feeling for the correct space, poof, in went the needle, and with adept sensing and monitoring by the doc, the spinal fluid was reached, confirmed, and then an anesthetic instilled. An experienced doctor could achieve success in giving a spinal in 5 minutes total (prepping, feeling, numbing, needle to spinal fluid, and installation of anesthetic).Nowadays, the technique is pretty much the same, perhaps even more worked out efficiently. For you, they will merely be withdrawing spinal fluid, not infusing anesthetic volumes, so perhaps it will be less cumbersome. Only hints I know is to try to stay as calm as you can (perhaps take a Xanax or such two hours ahead of the procedure), and to push your back up and out like a cat does when threatened, as this helps them procedurally. Maybe they will differ from this advice, and of course we need to follow our own doctors and nurses directions. Please know you remain very much a part of my prayers, Deb; I will pray that the news is good news for you from this test, and that you don't experience any undue pain.Tender
-
Slonedeb: Just as Tender described, my daughter just had a spinal tap, prior to her c-section for the twins. She is telling me that everything that Tender just described is still the rule of the day.... staying VERY still and arching your back. Your team will of course lead you through in the manner they want.
She says that once numbed it merely felt like a big pinch or a little bee-sting. She says that her 'fear hurt worse' ahead of time, than the actual procedure.
You can do this. Of course this procedure will shed some light on what's going on. I will pray for your strength and calm. Once the results are in, we will know more.
