ANNIE I am so glad you got a hugahan. YIPPEE!
I have some square to send. Do I send them to you Madison? If not please direct me. Also i have something to send to the host of Pinkstock if she will PM me. I get confused who is hosting because you all seem so to get so excited about this event. i have read the post and it sounds like great fun. The idea it is in a cool place is so much more the excitement.
So I will wait to hear..Smiles. -

I received a thank you note from the mother of Ryan, our soldier battling leukemia at Walter Reed.
Ryan received our afghan and it has been helping keep him warm as his battle continues.
He and his mother are very touched by our kindness.
His mother sent a picture of Ryan is such a handsome young man!
Ryan will need a bone marrow transplant at some point in the future.
Please keep Ryan and his family in your prayers.
Hugs, Madison
-
How nice, Madison..........he will definitely be in my prayers.
Are they waiting for some improvement/strength to do the bone marrow?
Hugs,
Neesie

Morning everyone,
I received a wonderful note from CY's mom. She loves her Hugaghan and was surprised when she opened it. So here's a big Thank You from her and her hubby. She sent me a picture of them holding it also.
I'm going to start on a new one tonight.
Hugs

Cy's Mom has offered to make crochet animals to send with our afghans to our recipients that have small children.
Would you like to include crochet animals for the children?
I finished an afghan on my trip home from Oklahoma. I'll get it out this weekend.
Hugs
Dee

I think some animals for the children would be great, especially for the young ones.
Here's a link for a cute knitted bunny (it takes a few seconds to load): http://www.scribd.com/doc/2446257/Margaret
I haven't tried to make one yet, so I can't say how long it takes to do one.
Edited to add: http://www.nakedsheep.com/babobeknpa.html for a cute bear (pattern costs almost $6 but I'm sure there are similar patterns for free on the internet). Seems to be a nice site for yarn!!
-
I have a large box of unbordered squares ready to be mailed. Where should I mail them????
-
Lori, I think Vickie needs squares. If not, I'll be happy to take them.
Hugs

Hi to all! Cy's family just keeps on giving............how great is that?! I bet those little crocheted animals are as cute as a button and what a nice idea!
I have about 20 squares done....if someone needs them give me a shout....or I'll keep plugging away for a week or so..............they need to visit the 'border patrol' before they make their way in a hugaghan!

Hi All,
I have about 30 squares ready to go but they also need "border patrol"...I like that neesie (LOL).
Please let me know who needs them.
Hugs to all,

Ladies,
I have some very sad news. I had requested to Madison to send a hugagan to Kimmie39. She was having a hard time. Well, the girls from the Chemo August 2007 thread where I belong, found out that she is now in hospice. Nothing is working for her. She just turned 40 yrs old and has 3 girls..20, 5 and 9. I hate this disease.
I was asked to let you all know that she received her afghan, loves it and is using it on her bed now. Thank you all so much for surrounding her with this love that she needs at the end of her journey. Let's all pray for her peace.
Hugs to all, Jackie
-
Jackie - OMG - I am so sorry...I have not been here much...working many hours...but I am so sad she's not doing well. I am, however, so happy she has received an afghan. I am shaking my head...why, why, why...
-
Laura,
It's so hard to understand. It's not fair to any of us but it she really has never had a break. I pray for her family.
Hugs, Jackie
-
My thoughts go out to her family. May she be pain free.
-
I'm so sorry to hear that kimmie39 has entered hospice.....................praying that she be kept pain free and thoughts are going out to her family.
How great that she received a hugaghan at this time....................

I finished another afghan last night. I made one on my trip to and from Oklahoma and finished another last night. I will post pictures of the two afghans over the weekend.
Both should be mailed out Saturday!!
Thanks bunches. We wouldn't do this project without everyone's support.
Hugs, Madison
-
Madison, have you received any packages lately? A large one should land on your doorstep real soon!
BTW- I made up a new stitch and it looks pretty if I say so myself!
-
I haven't received the packages yet....hopefully tomorrow the packages will be here.
I can't wait to see your new stitch!!!
I mailed one afghan Saturday and will be able to mail the other tomorrow.
Hugs, Madison

WOW MADISON..2 AFGHANS.. WOOHOO!!
I mailed a package friday to you. I keep my knitting in my car so if I get stuck waiting in a line or sitting at the bridge opened for a boat to pass through, I knit! It really helps my impatient nature for waiting. It also gives me a chance to look at different types of yarn to see how they look and what gauge it yields. Thanks for all you work..
-
Jacqui,
I received your package late yesterday evening.
THANK YOU.......you are awesome and very thoughtful. I absolutely love the yarn, colors and texture.
I have another afghan almost completed!!!
I'll use your squares and the new ones Lori are sending to me in the next afghan (already planning this one in my head). I have learned to place all the squares for the afghan together on the floor, step back and look at how they all work. It makes stitching them together much faster.
Hugs and thanks, Madison
-
