Hi Slonedeb,
A glorious Monday, full of sun and blue sky, warm but with a nice wind, just enough to entice me outside. I hope it was nice in Kentucky too, and that tonight your propped up to watch the news of the day, or read a book, or spend some time at chat with your friends.
Sending prayers your way, Deb.

Hi Slonedeb,
That garden does sound great. Up here, the little varmits eat all that we plant. They take a couple of bites out of the tomatoes, and then discard them at our back door, teasing us, or at least me. I love Burpee Big Boys in the summer.
Are you listening to the presidential candidate news tonight, Deb? Thinking who you might vote for next November? Hope you and DH are somewhat similar in thoughts, as otherwise there can be quite a stew in a house.
I hope your leg is troubling you less, that the swelling has lessened. My leg is better, thanks. I know your having treatment, tests etc, Deb, and I'm thinking of you throughout.
Sending lots of wishes for good rests, lots of good clean, cool water, tasty food and loving talk with family and friends.

Thank you heavenly angels of mercy & compassion for giving our Deb from Kentucky the pleasure and pride of seeing her grandson graduate from eighth grade. Thank you for supporting her here thru these boards, so that she had the pleasure of participating in a significant family milestone. Thank you Creator in Heaven for Deb's example of faith as she walks thru this disease with courage.
I ask you Maker-of-Miracles to reign your compassion on the researchers now at work searching for our cure. I ask you for hope for SloneDeb to greet each day thinking of your future for us.

Well, it's might hot here, Slonedeb, and since Kentucky is further South, I'm thinking you're probably taking cover today too. Sure will make your garden veggies grow with watering. What a nice neighbor to catch you some catfish, yum, nothing like fresh fish with fresh peas for a good dinner. Do you grow okra, deb?
A port, to spare your veins and allow less traumatic access for the chemo. I know it's scary thinking of having one placed Deb, but it makes great sense if you can drum up the courage. The numb you up real well. Just insist on having it placed by an experienced physician, no newcomers, residents etc, given your fear and fragility. Of course too you have to be well hydrated so avoiding the heat outside, and drinking lots of fluid would be good to do. Just think how nice fewer needle sticks would be.
I'm hoping some other ladies will talk with you about it in chat. I am so happy to see you active on the site and hope that means at times you are feeling better.
Prayers for you, Slonedeb.
Tender -
Deb hello my dear friend. A port will make chemo so much easier. It is HOT here and we are needing rain so bad. Well in the Lords time like all things. Stay hydrated and rested and don't forget to have some fun. We all need more laughs. I am glad you are posting often. Praying for you....HUGS OUR KENTUCKY SIS....

hello i am debbies hubby from ky i want you ladirs to know that deb became very sick last night and was rushed to the hospital wher the are checking her brain she is in a seni coma i dont know what ill do without her i loe her so much but i know she wanted to let you know this and to tell you she loves you and hopefuuly yje lord wont take her yet jacky debs hby from ky
-
dear jacky & deb: i read with great sadness.
Jacky I know you have been a constant source of support and encouragement to our slonedeb. I will pray for her life to be spared, for a miracle to happen and her strength to be restored.
I can't begin to imagine what you're going thru. Please know that there are many here who care deeply about your situation.
Dear Heavenly Jesus, Creator of Miracles, Wonder beyond our understanding..... of course you already know that our slonedeb has been rushed to the hospital. I pray that her medical team can deliver a miracle. You are the maker of miracles.
I fear that her body is so weakened by this disease that I can't imagine how she can overcome this..... it would only be possible with your intervention. Please intervene. Please shower mercy upon this faithful servant of yours who has love in her heart for so many.
Please angels hold up Jacky as he has so many emotions at this time. Be a source of comfort to him in the midst of this peril. Strengthen him in these hours that lie ahead. Give him a sense of peace about this chapter of Deb's story.
Allow that Jacky's words are heard by his loving wife, even in her coma-like state. Allow his words of care and love to penetrate into her broken body and give her peace. Allow that what is important between them guide Debbie on her journey.
I'm completely at a loss for what to say. Hold these dear people up.
Thank you for having given our Deb the recent opportunity to participate in her grandson's graduation. Thank you for her neighbor who regularly visits. Thank you for dear Jacky who was able to find our threads here and communicate to us.
Please hold us up while we learn of your will in Deb's story.
-
Jacky, with shared sadness I read your words this morning. You have a wonderful wife in Deb, and I have come to treasure her over the few months of knowing her. I send you my heartfelt grief that such has come Deb's way as yours, and will join the strong voices of others hear in prayer and love during your time of need. May Deb be without physical pain, and sense your presence with her, Jacky.
With great sadness,
Tender -

Dear slonedeb's Jesus, whom she loves with her whole being:
Thank you for the update on our Slonedeb. Thank you that her daughter and Jacky, her husband, have been able to stand by her side throughout the day. Thank you for giving them the courage to be with our deb in the midst of this frightening time.
Thank you that we are a sisterhood here that supports one another thru thick and thin. Please assure our sloneDeb that we are gathered here from around the country asking for your mercy to shine into Deb's heart and body..... chasing away any worries and pain.
Assure Deb's family how much we've loved her in the past and how happy we are that she's been a witness to us thru this whole journey. Jesus, I'm sitting here smiling at slonedeb's plans to start a relay for life team in heaven and I know that she's gonna start pestering you for a cure as soon as she gets her wings. She loves everyone here so much, I know she's coming to you directly for answers --- always asking for the cure.
Heavenly healer, please allow our Deb to appreciate these moments with her family -- both those gathered at the end of the bed & those who are unable to participate in the hospital pilgramage. Hold up each member in the family as they wrestle in their own ways with the developments of this last day.
We know that you have eternal love for us, as only a parent knows. I trust that your plan for slonedeb is to have her body be free of this disease. I trust that your plan brings everyone here closer to each other, as we realize how very fragile our time on earth is. Please assure Deb that we are sending our prayers continually and that she is never alone.

Lord continue to bless our dear sister Deb. Your plans Lord are not ours I know. Lord we lift her up before you for your mighty healing to flow thru her. Lord for her to feel your great love for her. AMEN
Debs family she loves you each so much. She was more concerned for each of you than herself. What a mom and wifes love. Tell her i am cheering her on in this fight remind her she is a AWESOME PINK WARRIOR AND WE DO NOT BOW TO THIS DISEASE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL...

Slonedeb, when I come here onto your thread I am so blessed to read the thoughts, inspirations, prayers and well wishes of so many. This thread is a source of comfort to me. To have read of your visits with family, your neighbor's regular calling in on you -- these are blessings to 'observe' even from afar.
I pray that your doctors are leading you in the direction ordained by our Heavenly Father above..... that they realize your zeal for life and bring you choices that our Miracle Maker would encourage.
I pray that your family stand strong by your side & that you may hear the love they express by their very presence and know the love you've witnessed all thru the years. This is a time for review. To think back over the little moments that are delightful memories from days gone by: picnics at the lake, a specific Christmas morning, sledding with the neighbors -- all the gifts of a long life's journey.
Relish those memories together.
Hugs for you and your entire family and for our family here on this site.
