Ya know, I'm not a Hillary supporter.  But something really stinks with our liberal, biased Media!  Sickening!

Hillary supporters..it's time to fight back

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXGKN9XMFQs

Hillary supporter ejected from the DNC

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=no6ENZdbVi0

Some more of the Hillary supporter and a little of Father Pfleger

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLcVlTI3OHc&feature=related

    All of Father Pfleger

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H11x6bMu4Y&feature=related

And Otis Moss, the new pastor of Trinity says, Thank God for the message and thank God for the messenger?

"Father" Pfleger has been a friend of Obama's for years.  How can anyone think that Obama doesn't think like Pleger and Wright?

And our government is giving money to this church for their daycare and other outreach programs?  About $15 million in 15 years?  This church should not have their tax free status.  If this was a "white" church....Falwell, I believe, had to pay a fine for saying something in the pulpit that was "political."  I believe he almost had his status taken away.

    This sickens me.

Ten minutes ago (according to the AP):

"Hillary Rodham Clinton told colleagues Tuesday she would consider joining Barack Obama as his running mate, and advisers said she was withholding a formal departure from the race partly to use her remaining leverage to press for a spot on the ticket.

On a conference call with other New York lawmakers, Clinton, a New York senator, said she was willing to become Obama's vice presidential nominee if it would help Democrats win the White House, according to a participant who spoke on condition of anonymity because this person was not authorized to speak for Clinton."

Also a few hours ago :

"Francis Cardinal George is temporarily removing Father Michael Pfleger from his position as pastor of St. Sabina Roman Catholic Church on Chicago's South Side. ......the move comes after several days of deliberation and consultation by the Cardinal, who first learned about Pfleger's racially charged comments about Sen. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton from the pulpit of Trinity Unity Church of Christ last Thursday night." CBS2 - Chicago

Hey Shokk:  I agree that the news media should keep their yaps shut until the polls close.  I am thinking that perhaps since Obama is close to having enough delegates, that this is what they are referring to.  Even if Clinton wins both states I don't think it's enough. Too bad they (the press) don't let this thing unfold on its own....

OK - I must admit it.  This liberal hiding in the closet should have read all the thread first before I commented.  But gosh darn I have been looking for Shokk all day.

I was disappointed to read that Hilary will concede tonight.

I dont know what ballistic things Bill Clinton did.

If Hillary is vice president - well I might write in Edwards.

Oh and living in the Chicago area, I was so happy to read that Pfleger was removed.  Its been along time coming.

Felicia:  Im laughing my arse off at your comment about the news reporteers.

    Blue,

No, I didn't catch his name.  I never saw him before either.  An older, good looking guy.  They said he was a democratic strategist.

I was watching Fox news today and they were celebrating Obama's victory today, hmmm a little too early, and they had this hateful woman on.  I didn't catch her name either.  I've seen her before and she's no fan of Hillary.  Such comments about Hillary coming from her were so unnecessary.  Just because a woman says it, I'm sorry out of bounds is out of bounds.

Don't worry Hillary isn't going any where.  They still need her to carry all the blame for Obama's loss this November.

I hope Hillary will not concede anything. I'm also hoping that Obama bombs in both primaries and doesn't get to the "magic" delgate number. I want this to go to the convention floor! Hey Shokk, can you tell I'm pissed!!! Going to have a drink and make dinner. I'm going to be a card carrying drunk before this is over!

    Blue,

Don't you know that republicans never say anything outrageous. It's just left leaning liberals who make gaffes. I'm so happy the Republicans in WVA shot him down. I, too, hate Big Dick with a passion. There must be someone on the boards from West Virginia who is disgusted about this.

Well here was my little letter to Hillary.

    -------------------------------

    I want you for President
I will not vote for Obama even if you are VP.  I will vote for McCain if you are not the nominee and hope to vote for you in 2012 not 2016.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No way will I vote for Obama!!! Can Hillary run as an Independent? Either I write her in or I don't vote and that's that!

Yes, Hillary can run as in independent but that is so unlikely.

I really loved her speech tonight.  I could feel my eyes getting watery.  Of course, she gave the talking heads a seizure.  I thought they were going to explode over her not conceding or at least saying she was putting her campaign on hold.  She just had that old fighting spirit going for her.

I hope she's not staying in just to be his Veep.  I hope this is really to fight all the way for the nomination.  We'll know in a few days.

...the olive branch holder middle of the fence sitter is starting to lean toward.......I'm tottering--which way will I fall????

Sorry that I've not been able to join sides here...but, I am a tad curious and I have to ask this question...

notwithstanding monetary contributions to the party/candidate of your choice and expressing views on this thread......who has:

...stood on street corners and passed out pamphlets for the candidate

...stood at bus stops in pouring rain to hand out campaign buttons/flyers

...sat and answered phones/made phone calls/ licked a thousand envelopes...

...walked miles, knocking on doors and asking can I leave this info with you, thank you...      ...

I am just curious what, beyond monetary contributions  and rhetoric attempts here to sway opinion to a candidate--is anyone actively working for any individual?

As mentioned in earlier posts--my political passion burned out with JFK--I did all the above because I believed in him so strongly.  and I wasn't even Catholic!   I was 14 yrs old and couldn't even vote!

I have not, since, cared one diddley squat about politics.   Sad........

    huggggssssss to all

The true problem with the media (print, TV and radio) is that it is about 90% White, over 60 and male - obviously not representative of the rest of the nation. Isn't hard to see how both Hillary and Obama looked like they were in a 15-round bout every debate as the likes of Tim Russert, Wolf B. and company beating them to death with their loaded questions. Ethnic or gender diversity has never been the media's strong suit and it is much worse today than it was even 10 years ago (quick, when was the last time you saw a SOLO anchor of color in your local news market?). At least in 04, one of the debates was moderated by a Black female. No such luck in any of the gazillion debates the dems had during the primary...

And all media isn't biased. I'm not - or at least my biases don't show in the stories I cover or how I report them...

    Junie,

I don't think we're trying to sway votes in one direction or the other.  We're just chatting mostly.  This election has brought out so much passion for one candidate or the other, that I think it would be impossibe to think we could sway a vote.

I've made calls for Hillary to other States, outside of money contributions, not much more.  When we were having our primary, her headquarters was too far away, otherwise I might have been more involved.

I did become her delegate at the County level, and what should have been an Obama delegate going to the State convention this weekend became a Hillary delegate going to State instead.   That was fun.

Another reason why she shouldn't drop out yet, Texas is electing delegates to go the national convention this weekend.  We want to be sure Hillary gets all the delegate votes she deserves and I hope her supporters still want to go to Austin.

Hi All:  Will Hillary not conceding really help her case at this point?  I mean, Obama has all the delegates he needs and Hillary didn't win as strongly as she had hoped in terms of the popular vote in the last three primaries.  I am trying to figure out what her game plan is at this point. The only cinclusion I can come to is that she is posturing for the VP slot.  I don't see Obama offering that to her.   CNN (Online) has an article this morning about possible VP choices for Obama.  Quite a few interesting (potential) candidates. THe next few days should be pretty interesting.

That said, I watched both speeches last night and I found both to be very powerful.

    Felicia,

In Houston, our local news is a rainbow of ethnicities for a very long time.  We are well above the curve.

I think the bias we are mostly seeing in on the cable news outlets.  Some have been downright disgusting.  They think they're being funny.  The questions they ask of the panel are showing their bias.  Anyway, they'll be kicking Hillary around for a few more days, and it will eventually end ..... in November.

    Blue,

It sounds like to me that she's taking her time and weighing her options.  A man, this close, would more than likely take it to the convention.  We've seen floor fights before and the candidates weren't even this close.  Anything can happen in the next few months.

Besides, she's keeping the excitment alive.  If she wants to be his V.P. (dumb political move) I won't vote for them anyway.  And she's managing to keep the focus off McCain.  I don't have my T.V. on, I'll bet they're frying her alive for this.

Rosemary, I'm in the NYC area and we also have a bevy of ethicities and genders on the news. But the only people of color or women who anchor always, always, always co-anchor with a white guy or blonde female (no joke). Lots of Asian, Black, few Hispanic and Indian (as in the continent) reporters on the local tv news, but not one brown or female anchor who does the news solo - and I can probably safely assume that there are only a handful of producers and management that are people of color, female, or both. And it is plenty worse on cable news (lthough CNN is a bit better than Fox)...
