Okay, Karen, you can't eat fish because it ALL has mercury, only once a week. Said by me, who doesn't really like fish very much. Sardines in mustard, Walt LOVES.
Lemon curd is God's best thing. I swear, you can get it here at Pier one or on the net. When we were at Herrod's, I fell in love with the baked meringue. So we bought about six, packed them, got home with crumbs. HAHAHA But now, at our Trader Joe's, you can get them. Anyway, you take a meringue baked crust, add lemon curd, then REAL whipped cream, not that crap we have in the can, and put any berries all over it and, and, I am drowning in saliva!!...ahhhhhh
AND it is IMPOSSIBLE to get real english marmalade here. I have even tried the ones that they swear are MADE in England, and they have too much sugar, no bite. Next time I am in England I will eat scones, (they are not the same here), clotted cream, lemon curd pies and all the marmalade I can hold. Makes me hungry just thinking about it.
Yes, I think cursor, toothpick, pencil, whatever, it just disppears, but I have a new, cordless mouse, just to lazy to install it.
I love you all, I love the food ideas. Yummmy, yummy,
Hugs to all, Shirlann

Congratulations on the good bone scan results Lisa and so glad you got some reassurance. Great idea to try Effexor - I have heard good things about it.
(((((Sue))))) - sending you hugs and loving thoughts. Each tx means one less - I am counting down with you. I can't wait for you to be finished with this stinking bootface.
Yes Lisa, I will have internet in the mountains but it will be some time before I move there.
Am rushing because I slept in. Love to everyone.

Hi Sue
! Sue! After tomorrows tx , you will be down to one hand!!!!!!!!
Its gonna go fast after that. Drink a big glass of water , then have alot of tea , then some water maybe alternate it. I don't know what else will work. I drank crystal-lite iced tea and hawaian punch. I know it is so hard to drink that much water feeling the way you do.xx
How bad was the storm last night Sue? Glad you still have power. And when you are done with the "fine young lads" that Lisa sent you , clean them up and send them my way!
!lolxxxx
Lisa , congrats on the bone scans! Come on girl , get out of that funk! Your future is as bright and beautiful as you. The only thing you are lacking , is a warm sunny spring day. And it is coming soon!
xxxx
Oh Jane , I think you guys got it! I will still say a little prayer. It sounds fabulous. Make sure you take pics to share with us. xxxx
Hi to all my sisters. I must go make dinner.bbl Melody
-
Jane , does it look anything like this?
-
Lisa , what is the doseage of the effexor your doc gave you?
-
Yes, Sue, try some flavored water. I used Crystal light, raspberry flavored tea in my water. Like Mel said...after tomorrow...we are down to one hand!! So...did you like the road to HAPPY?? I think we all need that...me especially! I know Mel...I do need to be shaken right out of my funk!! I hope the Eflixer helps. I pick it up tomorrow. I tried to get it today...one capsule, but my insurance would not cover it. So the pharmacist needs to get the ok from my oc to change it to a tablet, 2 times a day..then the insurance will cover it. Grrrrrrrrrr...always something. Now I have to remember to take pills twice a day..oh my!! I just need some help with the moods.
So Mel...you like the nice fire fighters I sent to Sue?? haha...she could send them over dirty....and YOU could clean them up! haha...shame on me....this is a first, cause I have zero sex drive!
AE, I love that Sue and UB are our warriors!!
Jane....I am sad, every time we are on here...you are rushing off or sleeping.
Where is our Lucy and Ulla?? I know what Lucy is up too...haha! Lucky girl!
Well...my tuna casserole just came out of the oven. Olivia will be home soon...and then she is going to color my hair again. This time....dark blond!! yeah....a blond again!!
bbl
-
haha...I don't even have the name of it correct. Not sure of the dosage. I'll know tomorrow..but she did mention that it would be low. What are the side effects of it??
-
Hi Lisa. My doseage is the lowest possible. 25mg.. I take one in the morning. But he said I could take one at night also , cause I am getting hf again. I haven't noticed any se's. You will of course get a list of them with your script. I asked my onc about my itching when I have a hotflash , I guess its part of menopause. I wonder why it makes you itch? Does anyone know? I know after I miscarried I itched and my gyn said it was hormonal. Strange...
-
Hi beloved sisters, no, there should be no side effects from Effexor, EXCEPT, if you want to stop, you have to get off them verrry slooowly, AND, most anti-deps take 2 to 6 weeks to work. You will just not notice anything dramatic, all of sudden you will hear yourself hum. I mean it, it is that quiet.
Lisa, CONGRATULATIONS on the bone scan, mine showed all my broken bones and a lot of arthritis. Otherwise, nothing.
Sue, peaches, only ONE HAND, that you can do. Almost done, almost done, almost done. The days do go by.
Love, love, love you all, Shirlann (Cybermum)

Hi ladies! I haven't read all the posts I need to catch up on, but I will in a sec. Here's a funny I wanted to share with those of you who haven't seen it yet.
MYSTERIOUS WATER LEAK PROBLEM
Jennifer and Jim kept getting huge water bills. They knew beyond a doubt that the bills weren't representative of their actual usage, and no matter how they tried to conserve, the high bills continued.Although they could see nothing wrong, they had everything checked for leaks or problems: first the water meter, then outdoor pipes, indoor pipes underground pipes, faucets, toilets, washer, ice maker, etc. -- all to no avail.
One day Jim was sick and stayed home in bed, but kept hearing water running downstairs. He finally tore himself from his sick bed to investigate, and stumbled onto the cause of such high water bills. Apparently this was happening all day long when they were not at home. Knowing that few would believe him, he taped a segment of the 'problem' for posterity -- see video:Turn up sound and click on: http://summitprops.com/WaterLeak.htmHugs,
Karen

Sorry it's taken me so long to read all the posts.
Lisa, I'm so sorry you're feeling so down. I'm sure the Effexor will help. I take it, but at a pretty high dose. She needed to raise it for me because it just wasn't working as well as the Lexapro. I'm feeling pretty good again now at the high dose. Hang in there sweetheart!
I love the pics of you, Valerie! Your nephew is adorable and so are you!! Your hair looks so full and thick! I can't wait until mine is that long.
Well, my first day of rads was totally non-eventful. My boob feels a bit hot tonight, but it looks fine. I also saw a lymphedema specialist to get fitted for a compression sleeve. I'll feel better about flying if I'm wearing one. I don't want to risk getting le. I feel so badly for those of you who suffer from it.
Love and hugs to all,
Karen
PS Congrats on the house, Jane!!!
-
Valerie - I love the photos - you look great - your hair is so thick and lovely! What a cute baby! I used to read that book to my kids when they were little! Love to you and your dear husband.
Sue - I am thinking of you and sending you loving thoughts. I so hope you have a better time than the last tx.
Lovely Lisa - I hate to think of you being sad. You have been through so much. I think it's a great idea to take some pills for this. I hope you can start soon and please hang out here as much as you like and pour your heart out if you feel you need to. Love you.Karen - I loved the video - so funny!
Thanks for the congrats on the mountains cottage. There is so much to be done before we can move there. I think it could take some months before it happens. Melody - thank you for that lovely photo - that exact view is within walking distance of the cottage!
Must go to bed! I have been meaning to get up and walk but i go to bed so late that I can't wake up in the morning.
Hugs,
Jane xxx
