Are they in a sauce or just plain Mel? I'll have to give them a try. I know how good they are for you.
AE!! First of all, thanks for saying I'm thin
. I'm really not though. If you saw me eat, you'd be amazed. My dh has told me that I can eat more than any other woman he knows. I know--how flattering!! I like pretty much everything.
-
Sardines are up there at the top of the list for sure.
-
-
They are in a "low fat butter sauce". Yes , try them and let me know what you think. I think they look like little heads of cabbage and thats how they taste. But , if you don't like cabbage , maybe not a good thing to try.xxxx

Oh my! That may be a type of fish I don't care for. Sardines in MUSTARD sauce???? Pardon me while I go hurl!!! Where on earth do you buy that? Or do you make it?
The brussel sprouts in butter sauce actually don't sound bad. I promise to try them.
AE, my favorite color is green, my favorite season is summer (though you can't beat a crisp, clear fall day), my favorite dessert is tiramisu, definitely jeans, and any shoes that you can just slip on--I hate messing with shoe laces.
-
Yum!
-
Karen , you can buy them in a can with mustard sauce. I haven't had any in years , but I did and liked them. Which is very strange , cause I hate strong tasting fish. Go figure...
-
Well ladies, it is past my bedtime. Have to take Delbert first thing tomorrow to get his stitches out from the big fight. Its always an adventure taking a 110lb dog to the vet!!!
I will talk to all of you tomorrow, sweet dreams.

I still think mustard sardines sound icky though.......
Look! I found a funny barfing cartoon.
Okay, I'm outta here. G'night!
-
Karen, I saw a recipe for brussel sproats on The Food Channel that turned out very, very well. You have to pull most of the leaves off, which is a little time consuming, but then you basically sauté them in garlic, oil, and a little butter, and add some fresh bacon bits (not the jarred bacon bits...real bacon that you've cooked and cut up into pieces), salt and pepper to taste. I think the chef also added some hot pepper flakes but my stomach would have acted up at just the thought so I left those out.
Foods I don't like:
Lima beans
Liver
Anchovies (unless they are chopped up and are part of a dish)
(that's about it)
I tell my family that I'm a real omnivore.
-
Hmmmm....I'll have to look that recipe up on Food Network's website. I go there all the time and most of the recipes I've tried have been really good. Thanks Nancy!
