I posted on your other thread, but I wanted to check here and see if you were able to post.  I am so sorry.  I know this hurts so very much for you.  I love you so much, my dear, sweet, loving sister.

Please tell your Dad and the rest of your family that I offer my love and prayers.

Odalys, I know little about your mom but I do know she has a wonderful daughter and was surrounded by love. How good to hear that she was ready to die and be with God. That means her transition was peaceful. That's what I want for everyone I love: that they be ready and peaceful. That's what I want for me, too.

I loved hearing about how God touched you in the hospital hallway. You were a miracle for your friend. I hope she reaches out and takes all the help and comfort she deserves.

Maybe your friend was a miracle for you, too. She reminded you that all you have been through, all the things that were so horrendous at the time, all that can be made positive and helpful by changing the circumstances.

I love you all, dear sisters.

Thank you dear sisters.  Your love has helped me get through very dark days.

Here is a pic of the beautiful afghan the "circle grils" made for me.

Each square was hand made by a Circle Girl and Liz put it all together and mailed it to me.  I received it yesterday.  The timing was perfect.  It arrived five minutes after I had walked in the door from Mami's burial. I wrapped myself in it and slept for 5 hours!  I am touched by such love and generosity shown to me by the bc.org family.  Words can not explain my gratitude.

I love all my bc.org sisters (and brothers too).   God bless you all.

If you want to learn more about the afghan, check out the "afghan community" thread: http://community.breastcancer.org/topic/87/conversation/502522?page=76#idx_2275

Odalys, this is a very dear group of people here at bc.org.

How wonderful the afghan got there at that very moment in time. It is beautiful .

Glad to hear you got some sleep also.

Sending love and prayers to you and the rest of my sisters tonight.

Hope all had a nice Valentines Day.

Talked to my granddaughter , her boyfriend gave her a dozen roses and a big stuffed animal...She was all excited. She is a tom boy, to young to date, but I thought it was so cute.

Went to dinner with Michael ,Cory, Jessie and Sebastian tonight. We had a wonderful meal and great conversation.

I was missing my other son, but did get to talk to Ashley...I'm due a trip home, or maybe all of them will come here in May when the baby is born .

Depends on mom. She has slowed down allot ....starting to get a frail look to her. She is almost 75 so I guess it's time.

    valentines

    Love you all

I just seem to be having a rough time....the expander is bad enough. Now my teeth have started to hurt so bad it makes me cry.

I went to my dentist and he said I needed another root canal and I am going to lose the other one because he can't save it.

Now I have another one that is hurting very bad. Seems like cleaning them made them worse. The cost to get an implant is off the map, and I don't think my insurance will pay for it. Not if it is for looks....I am such a teeth person.

Is this what this disease is going to take from me now.

    My smile?

I smile all the time. I can't help it. And I talk to everyone.....how will I be able to look at Michael with no teeth.

I hate to come here and vent about teeth, it is so lame. I'm just cancer poor already....Even if insurance covers the work, my dentist will send me to someone else. ( I love my dentist)

So I have to pay first, then insurance will reimburse.

I'm thinking of having them all pulled, and just get fake ones to go along with my fake boob Frown

That should really boost my self-esteem.

I feel sick to my stomach....and the pain from this is making my head hurt all the time.

I will be talking to him tomorrow......and see where he will send me.

Thanks for being there for me....Sorry for the whine..

I knew this day would come

Mary Lou- you are not putting your teeth in a jar!!!!

Which tooth do you need extracted?  You should be able to get a temporary tooth while things heal.  You should heal for a couple of months before you get a permanent fix.  I wish you we closer- my DH would take care of you! Look to see if your dentist has any financing options.  You have a beautiful smile!  Pain is such an emotional thing.  I hope you get your pain resolved soon so that you can figure out the next step.

Forget it sister!!!  You are way to sexy and have a very beautiful smile to put your teeth in a jar!  I agree with Margerie.  There should be some temporary fix.

You know, chemo did a number on my teeth.  I've had two root canals, abscess, lost one tooth, and had to have all my fillings re-done.  Yes, I blame chemo hell for all that dental work.

I hope you find some relief soon.  Hugs,

Mary Lou, I hope you get some really good options from your dentist. I am sorry to hear you are having pain, though, and hope it gets better soon!

I haven't been able to check in here much lately, A little overwhelmed with so many activities right now. My group is havieng a retreat in 2 weeks and the day after that we are flying back to France. Yikes! We are selling one house and buying another, so there's a rather huge move to accomplish fairly quickly, bec. I need to be back here to be with my daughter when she gives birth in early June. She's here right now and looks pregnant for sure. Poor thing, her breasts have gone up two to three sizes (she was already a DD!) and make her feel very uncomfortable. She's always had a reduction in the back of her mind, but this makes it all the more appealing. I told her we'll go to my plastic surgeon in a year or two. She never wanted to do it bec. she wants to breast feed and we don't know if that's possible after a reduction. Guess we could have asked.... Anyway, she doesn't complain, but my heart goes out to her, she has to wear all sorts of different bras at different times of day, one at night, one to lounge around, one to go out...

But it is heaven to have her here with me, esp. today, my birthday. We can't go anywhere bec. there's an icestorm here. Hubs went to work anyway, hope he is okay.

So I'm going to be one busy girl for the next two weeks but will check in with my sisters and send you all lots of love.

    Anna

Thanks sisters.....Now I don't feel so stupid for venting. I hate to burden anyone with this personal stuff.

I don't know anything yet.  The office is closed today.

Marg-  I have 3 that are giving me trouble....I think he said #2, and # 15 are the ones I remember. Can't remember the other one.

Odalys- I'm so far from sexy ....but you did put a smile on my face.

Anna - You are very busy, and awaiting a grandchild too. Glad you are doing exciting things....Do you all know what the baby is? Or did I miss you saying.

I know the weather is awful there, my granddaughter called  and said they were out of school again.

It missed us for the most part. Just hope it is better by next week. I have to open at work, and I will be cooking by 5am. I'm so ready for another job....

I just took this one for some part time work. Mental Health is just to much. I don't even think I could chart without looking foolish with my spelling.

And meds change so often, it is hard to keep up even when you do it every day.

Not sure what I will do, but being on my feet for hours at a time is wearing me down.

    Update on my tooth....

I have been eating chicken noodle soup because I felt anything hard would hurt. Well I didn't eat it tonight because last night my tooth killed me after eating the soup.

I think it has something to do with the salt. Does that sound strange?

Hey, just wanted to let you know this....I posted this on another thread .

    Here is what I wrote:

Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson up the action ante for this adventure film. It is a action-comedy....Fools Gold.

I went to see it last night and I laughed like I haven't laughed in a long time. It was good for the soul.

Plus it was talking about a guy named Sebastian. That is my Grandsons name and I don't hear that name often, so that was neat.

And let me tell you, MoJo or not, Matthew McConaughey was "HOT" worth seeing even if you were deaf.....LOL

And thanks for the pic of MM- I am a muscley bare chest fan!!

Ladies, I have started a blog.  It is fun!  After you get it all set up.  I have a bc survivor friend here that insisted that I do this.  Very good therapy already.  Anyway, please check it out.  If you like it, bookmark it and check back every few days as I plan on blogging 3-4 times a week.  My friend Hayley is also pretty darned hilarious- so if you need some comic relief (in addition to my contribution-LOL) check out her blog with the link at the end.

She also wants me to do myspace, thinking about it :)  I am a little intimidated right now- I don't think I am cool enough- LOL.

If you all set up blogs, let me know and I will be sure to visit and comment.

You found us, and that's all that matters!!!   Laughing

I've been insanely busy, but all for a good cause.  We've been organizing the heck out of the house, and it feels GREAT!

It really helps me feel a little more in control with my otherwise out of control life (with my Dad's death, and crazy estate issues).

I've been eating myself silly.  If I keep going this rate, I will need new clothes CryEmbarassedFrown

I miss you guys, and can't wait to see you in November!

The more I think about it, the more I want to go to Disney.  I know it's too expensive.  I am just a Disney addict.  I filled my Disney addiction today by shopping online!!!

    Love and prayers,Deb

    I miss her so.

    Marg- I love the blog!

Love to you all, it is 3:37am  and I have to get ready for work....My alarm just went off. I woke up at 2:30 and couldn't go back to sleep.

I didn't go to bed till midnight.....I will be dead on my feet this afternoon.
