Just think what our bodies have been through?! We can get this extra weight off! It will take time...it took us a year to gain it...
It's hard at our age too, to lose, but think positive, go easy on carbs..and eat a bigger breakfast...to help speed up that metabolism!!
I am having a feeling fat and yucky day also. Heck, I am still in my darn robe!! Just very unmotivated..and I have sooo much to do!
Mel..what type of hair color? Brand etc. I will do my own this next time. But I want to buy a gentle one.
-
Thanks Mel...I love that pic...because it's of me and the girls...but I hate the fact that it was from the wedding I would like to forget..haha.
Your old hair and mine were somewhat simular...we will have it again!!
-
Yes Lisa. After you have some recoup time , I will go see my son in Kent , and you and I can meet for lunch. And by then the weather should be better. I don't like driving a long distance in a blizzard! But , when I was 18 , it was an adventure , now its stay stocked up on everything so I don't have to drive anywhere!lol
-
Hi Sue
! I hope you and the boys are having a good day. I'm just here having a pity party with Lisa and AE. I know , first I cry because I have no hair , now I complain cause its like Shirley Temple. I'll stop.
I know , Shirley hair is better than no hair. Love ya , xxx
-
Mel...that sounds like a plan! I would really love that! You are a very special angel to me, and I look forward to meeting you!
Would you like to see the pics I spoke about earlier, in regards to the orbs near me?? I think it is really interesting. There were several pics taken of the same subject..santa..aka my dad with different kids on his lap..but only the ones with me in there, with Oliver have the orb! There is one, from later in the night of my daugher and my niece, and the orb is right by my niece. That night at dinner my niece toasted my Mother, and it was very emotional for her and all of us. I think that the orb (my mom) appeared in that pic with her, to say..thanks!
-
Ulla darlin' where are you? I hope you feel better real soon. I need some beauty tips. Lisa is my weight trainer. Hints and tips are welcomed from all! I need all the help I can get!
-
Oh yes Lisa , I would love to see them.
-
ok..here goes..sorry if they are big..but I thought I would leave them that way..so you could see it better.
can u see the shape of like eye sockets? Gosh...I look fat here! haha
see the one by my niece? Ummm..notice my nephew passed out under the tree..haha...he had a few too many drinks! I love him...great kid!
Well...tell me what you all think about the orbs!
-
Wow Lisa. I'm not sure what to think. Because , at first I thought it might be a spot on the lense of the camera. But it actually moved to a different position on the pics.
And by the way , if that is what"fat" looks like , I'll take it!
-
Oh my gosh , I now can see the face in the orb!
-
That is what we thought at first too. But we have about 10 photos from that same angle..and only those had orbs in it..and like you said it moved. Can u see the circles inside the circles? Olivia thinks they look like a face. I am telling you, when I realized "it" was in the pics with me...I did think it was my Mom saying...I want you to be with me...it freaked me out!
Well..I felt fat then even...and my boobs...got really huge before my dx..and sore. Isn't that weird?
Ulla...and ...Sue...where are you???0000000000000
-
Out of the shower and I have moussed, gelled and sprayed my hair till it doesn't move!!
Thanks for the kind words - I'm 5'9" so weight gain isn't as noticeable on me I guess. But as soon as I try to zip my jeans I'm reminded.
Lisa - why do you ask where my DH is from?? Does he look like a foreigner?? lol. he's not. I could have kill him that day - I tried to get him to wear something nicer but he refused. Since it was a surprise party there was nothing I could do!!
OK, those orbs are amazing. You need to go talk to John Edwards!!!!
I'm out of here,
AE
-
Bye AE. Have fun!xxxx
-
Lisa , did your doc say why your boobs got bigger and sore?
-
AE, I know..they are amazing. I misread your post...I thought you said his relatives came to the US, but you said came from all over the US...haha. My bad!
Mel...Nobody ever said anything about that. But it was so bad, that if Oliver's 4lb body stepped on them...omg...it was painful!
-
That is such a good orb picture, I took pictures of my sisters' anniversary and it was her 25th and three days before my surgury and in the church there were clear orbs but only in the church. My mom who never says anything about the otherworldly just looked at them and oh my all our angels were at church with us that day. I was shocked. I will post them but have to do it late at night or early in the morning because my dial up is so slow, it's so neat to see that you have angels as well. Weirder thing was we had just finished saying a prayer for the departed when I started taking the pictures and I took pictures one before and two later and no orbs. I just think thats so wonderful. The face in the orb is really something.pearl49
-
Wow Lisa , I just went to photobucket and typed in orbs , and alot of people have them in there photos. And some of them are nighttime shots that have no light for reflection of any kind. This is awesome!

Lucy hope you're having a good sunday I am just watching Dancing on Ice xxx Your youngest and his dad are like two peas from a pod....they look so like each other ...awwww...god I am lil broody ....xxx
-
Lucy...I see the orb in his picture. I find them amazing. I see them as our loved ones who have passed, coming to say hello.
Mel and Sue...Olivia and I checked out the orbs on photo bucket too. Interesting!
I had Olivia see if she could get rid of these darn symbols..no luck!
Oops...we sent Oliver out to go potty, and Olivia got busy on the computer, and forgot about him! It's cold for that poor little guy!! He was a bit shaky...we just took the blow dryer to his little paws! Poor baby!
Sue...I am SO GLAD you got a ton of sleep!! You needed it!!
I am being a big fat lug today! Not too inspired to do much! I have dinner going, but I have floors to scrub and sweep. I am sending Olivia to do a little food shopping.
I do have plans to get a run in later with my g/f. But just not very motivated today.
xoxo

Ok. I don't want to hear any more complaints about hair!! I'd rather be smooth like Sue or have hair like Mel, Lisa, or Valerie. I have fugly duck fuzz! It's hideous! Mel, your hair looks nice! What the heck are you talking about?? And Lisa, you are NOT fat in that picture. Take it from Uncle Fester, you look GREAT! You are all gorgeous ladies. It's horrible how hard we are on ourselves, isn't it?
Those orbs are totally cool, Lisa and Lucy. I'm going to have to check out all of my pics and look for them. I don't think I have any though. I totally believe that they are loved ones who have passed.
I'm so glad you had a good night's sleep Sue. You've given me a good idea for dinner. Portia LOVES my shepherd's pie. The others really like it too. Good idea! Thank you!!
Oh, the older home on the 7 acres that my dh liked so well, has an offer on it already. That's ok. Turns out it's a foreclosure home. No wonder they've let it go to heck. What a wreck it is! We've been talking about having a home built on our five acre lot. There are construction companies who will build a 2,500 square foot custom home on your lot for under $200,000. They can build the house for $75 a square foot. It's hard to believe because we were told that it would cost us almost $200 a square foot to build the house that we had designed. How do they do it??? Well, we're going to go talk to them and find out!
Take care, all. I'll be back this evening.
Love and hugs,
Karen
ULLA!!! Where are you, honey? Please let us know how you are.
-
Do any of you find yourself saying...." I can't believe I got breast cancer..." and question how things will eventually turn out....silly question...but I find myself saying it out loud .... I feel so much older than I did beforehand too... like 38 is young ...but 38 with question marks after it ...I may as well be 100 ....does anyone understand this...I am just talking myself .... I think its the drugs...I read maybe on this thread earlier about sisters looking back at photos pre cancer....its right isnt it....it changes us forever...physically xxx Sorry ....
Lisa .... Oliver is a beautiful baby...I wish I had a dog....Oliver and Olivia ... what wonderful names xxx

Hi Sue. Yes, I wonder that quite often. I think back on how my life would be right now, if this last year with bc did not happen. I would "look" better, feel better, well, maybe. I would be a different person.
I do think however, that the bc journey, has made me a stronger, and even a better person. So I guess for those reasons, there is some sort of ironic gratitude. We may feel older, and like Karen said, we are our own worst critics, but we are older in the sense that we are wiser.
We will now enjoy the smaller things in life, much more than most of us probably did before cancer.
So...it's ok to say..."I can't believe I got breast cancer"...that is only normal to think it, feel it, say it. But following that statement...remember to think...I am going to beat this, and I will come out on the other side, better for it all.
I hope that helps.
Yes...Oliver is my sweet little guy...I love him sooooo much! My g/f is going to keep him while I am in the hospital for 4 days, and she can't wait!! She is so excited to have him!
Karen, I bet you are somewhat relieved that the older farmhouse already has an offer on it! I vote for builing a new one!! Especially if that low price is correct!
xoxo

Ulla!!! So glad you are here!!
That is so nice that you had your hubby's friend in.

-
Yay!!! Ulla, you're done! You've done it, honey! I'm so relieved to hear from you. I'm doing the happy dance with Snoopy!!! So is Chase, who's sitting next to me. Hope you feel better very soon.
Love and hugs,
Karen
