    Here I am off the site for 4 days and there are 4 pgs to read on this thread just to catch up.

    I also love the movie 'Gone with the Wind'. I want to watch it when it comes on TV and all my DH says is 'oh, no, not again!' Last night the movie 'Sound of Music' was on and he actually let me watch it and not some American football (not soccer) game. (I did not tell him that I have it on VHS and watched it this summer while recouperating)

    Sue,My X-hubby also was a jerk. He actually signed over his legal rights wnen my son was 2 just so he would not have to pay child-support and lost all visitation rights. My son never missed not having a father. I remarried when he was 11 and his step-dad is his dad in all ways but one biologically.

    Everyone on this site is so great uplifting each other up even when you are down. I hope that I can help someone with words of encouragement.

    Sue, After the movie went off the air, I said something about 'well we could have watched it without the comercials and finished it up in just over 2.5 hours as apposed to 4 hours.'

    I got the movie this summer when my mom was going through her video collections and realized that she had 2 copies of the movie, one vhs and one DVD, both given to her or my grandmother. After my grandmother went in the nursing home, my mom kept her videos because grandma doesn't have a vcr at the home, she said she does not need it. Mom gave me the vhs because she knew how much I love musicals.

    Well I am feeling bit sad tonight...very sad really...sorry!!! I am scared of 2008 if I was to be honest....I am not sure if this is a common feeling....after having ones life turned upside down and abruptly.....2007 ended in a nightmare....and theres no way back to before....

    I just thank my blessings that I found all of you....believe me...YOU HAVE KEPT ME GOING......each time I am hitting brickwalls...you are always here for me.....xxx 

    I want to hug so hard each one of you with every ounce of energy ....  and tell you how very special you are and ALWAYS will be xxx

    Sorry for whining..I am having a tough time with this tx.....I cannot wait for this nightmare to end .....  xxx

    Sue, Just look forward to 2008, remember, when you hit the bottom the only way to go is up.  You are almost to the end of the worst part of your treatment.

    I love the story of your son and the way he bonded with his step-dad.....what a total loss for your ex.....life is so complicated at times...but as mums we only want the best for our children...which means at time fighting fires on all fronts....I think we are all doing and have done our kids proud.....and we will leave the legacy of love...for many more generations....xxx

    hi SueSmile! Oh Sue , I totally understand about being afraid of 2008. I don't think anyone of us doesn't feel that way sometimes. I think the more time goes by , we all will start to feel more secure. You're right. There is no way to go back to before all this , so we must make the best of times to come. I am an optimistic person and try to always look at the bright side. But , as you well know , the other night I sure did have a meltdown! And thats OK , but I try not to stay in that dark place to long. And with the loving words from you all , I know I am never alone and you all are such a big part of my security through this , and for that I am ever soooo thankful.

    Happy New Year and the Greatest of Blessings to each and everyone of you.

    My new year resolution is to make a list, or a note everyday of something that brings me joy. Then in all the "many" more years to come of life, I will always have that list to remind me of joyful moments, even amongst the *cough* not so joyful. It will be a legacy for my children to find, so that they know that I had pleasure and found joy at times that seemed joyless. (what they don't know is how big a part of that joy that they are).

    So I better get a BIG book if I am going to do this for triple negative years... *S*.. I probably have some catching up to do, in retrospect.

    1) Today what brought me joy was reading all the posts on the BCO board and reflecting that there is even wonder in pain! THank you

    Hi ladies! I'm back from my little mini-vacation and I haven't had time to catch up on all the posts that I've missed, but I wanted to wish you all a very Happy New Year!  Hopefully, 2008 will be MUCH better than 2007 has been for some of us.  This time next year we'll all be feeling healthy and happy and this damn bootface c@!&#r will be a distant memory!

    Happy new year everyone! I fell over in the shopping mall yesterday, I just slipped and Iv set myself back a bit. Iv really swollen up all over my back and Im aching like you cant believe! I went to bed at 9pm yesterday and missed newyear Cry. I dont know if I hurt my pride or my body more! All these young boys were laughing at me!! I could have just crawled under a rock LOL

    I suppose I must have looked pretty funny....

    Well , we are in the middle of a raging snow storm! We are having horrible high winds , and we have been without power all day! I have a gas stove and kept two burners on and the temp stayed at 69 degrees. The power just came on about twenty minutes ago. The storm is suppose to last until 7pm tomorrow night. I have to go to work tomorrow for inventory.Yuck. Oh well , I guess I'm use to stormy , winter weather. Wish me luck on my "white knuckle drive tomorrow!

    Is inventory like we call stock count? I hate that! is such a really boring job.



    I have an appointment luckily today with my surgeon so she can have a look.

    I love the snow. Apparently we will have a pathetic dribble of snow tomorrow. I suppose you are sick of it now though. The main problem is that we in the UK are so unprepared for any colder than 0c that the whole country grinds to a stand still!



    Get your snow boots on girl and good drive carefully!
